    Finally somebody with some useful advices! Thank you for sharing with us! I am novice in 3D printing that got hold of Adventure 4 and sometimes there are lots of functions that I am still wondering what and where to use.

    Really nice mods! Here is a mod list I had in mind but am too lazy to attempt -
    1. extruder arm + spring - to help combat the clicking, I was thinking of printing a new arm & finding a stiffer spring so it can grip the filament better, I understand the adventurer series have limits of how much force can be extruded since the nozzle can pop off but its something I wanted to try.
    2. (this one I will try) A simple one is changing the sheet on the removable bed to a PEI one, I have 3 removable beds & Gonna order a PEI sheet to replace on one to test.
    3. Fans, switching out some fans to noctua ones to make the overall printer quieter
    4. (advanced mod) e3d hot end swap, its been done on adventurer 3s but no info regarding the ad4 so I don't think I will try till there is proper info regarding it.
    5. (another simple mod) - adding some sort of stick on foam around the door for the filament, to reduce moisture entering it.

    I'm definitely interested in getting the Adventurer 4 working with Cura, which I use extensively with my ROBO C2 printer. And having Capricorn tubing will definitely help... Might get that for the C2 just because

    I'm having a problem on my adventurer 4, some layers seem to get offset by about a quarter of a millimeter, they seem to be caused often by a horizontal hole, on one side of the hole the print will be fine, on the other the print layers will be offset, it shows up as bands in the sides of the model.
    I'm also having problems where prints are seperating in the corners from the raft, the raft is staying stuck to the bed, but the print is lifting from that.

    The only mod I've made so far are for noise reductions & remote monitoring: For the noise issue, I've added sponge neopren stripping around the front door and it make a noticeable difference in high pitch noises when printing (It also has the benefits of keeping the inside temp more stable. IFor monitoring, 've added a Wyze Cam V3 on the left Window to monitor my prints remotely (as the built in camera is just pointless) and connected the printer to a Wemo Smart Plug so I can easelly turn it off remotely if a print goes wrong.
    I'm also looking forward improving the lignthing inside the device but unti then, I've just place a Philips Hue Go lamp on the top window.

    A mirror on the back wall is awesome for seeing what is going on with the back of the print.
    This was one of those things where I needed a mirror out of the way.
    It just happened to fit behind my one print area .
    And it's amazing, I'll probably get one of those 1' glue on tiles and secure it to the back wall.
    Maybe I'll make some little octagon shaped pieces to hold it to match the back wall of the printer .
    I don't really like the bed system on this printer I may be looking into making a better bed plate.
    On one of my other printers I have the bed absolutely leveled and surfaced , it makes my life a lot easier and better.

    have you had a problem with the filament feeder not feeding fully, I noticed as it is creating my object, the filament is not coming out as much. It"s not clogged, I noticed the filament is not moving to feed the nozzle.

      I’ve noticed sometimes the filament slips while the extruder gear tries to push it. That only really happened on PETG and the resolution was to set my max speed to around 30mm/s. But PLA I’ve had no problem going up to 60mm/s

    Thanks for all of your Adventurer 4 videos! Mine arrived a week ago, but I didn’t unbox and use it until yesterday. I haven’t been able to find very many useful videos for this printer other than reviews. Although I’ve been a designer & creator of many different art forms for most of my life, I’ve never done anything even remotely like 3D printing. After watching several of your videos, I’m almost positive that I can do some scavenging around the shop where I work to find materials to make a few simple modifications. LOL. My 1st two prints stuck to the print bed. I probably did some damage to it trying to remove the first one because I didn’t just go with my instinct and use my heat gun on it. I applied a little heat to the back of the print bed, and the second print came off nicely. I’m using the default settings for everything because I don’t really know how to use the software yet. Should I be setting the bed temperature a little higher? I’m fairly handy for an “old woman”, but this had me cursing last night! 😂🤣😂🤣

    • @justmakeitdaniel7667
      @justmakeitdaniel7667  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have a heat gun but sounds like that could actually work some magic for getting prints that are stuck!
      If you are printing PLA, you don’t actually needs to set the bed temperature at all. Room temp should be good. I would only recommend setting the temperature higher if you are printing parts with a large surface area that sticks to the bed because corners like to peel up. Otherwise, no need

    • @OG_Beckie_Leigh
      @OG_Beckie_Leigh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justmakeitdaniel7667 Thanks for the quick reply. I do a lot of work with epoxy resin, so I have a couple of heat guns for that. A heat gun is something I didn't know I needed until after I got one, and I have ended up using it for a lot of random things. Anyway, the flat piece that prints out before the actual design is what I used heat to remove (I'll probably never remember the correct terms because my brain needs an upgrade.) is a bit wonky, but it looks kinda cool. I'll probably flatten it on my heat press & use it for something funky instead of throwing it in the trash. LOL

      @@OG_Beckie_Leigh Ohhh you used a raft. I actually never use rafts because they are a waste of material imo and I like the surface that I get from the print bed (at least now I do with a PEI sheet installed. You can disable that feature in flashprint under the raft tab. Typically people print with a raft to help with bed adhesion, especially for small models without much surface area touching the print bed

    Posso chiederti perchè non hai fatro un upgrade della camera? Ed esiste un modo per visualizzare la camera da smartphone mentre mi trovo fuori casa? Sono cose che ancora non ho capito.... puoi spiegarmi?

    Great production quality! Have you heard of the replacement arm & spring mod? also some people swap the feeding gear to a brass gear with more teeth to reduce the clicking, these mods are for the Ad3 not sure if it's the exact same feeding system in the Ad4

    I cant seem to get the capicorn tubing to fit properly into the fillament feeder I tried 3 different times of taking it apart the fillament just wont go through the tube not sure what to do there but the pipe fitting is a nice upgrade if you have any advice about putting the tube in that would be helpful

    • @justmakeitdaniel7667
      @justmakeitdaniel7667  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahhh if the filament is jammed, you just need to widen the hole by scraping it with a knife to make a chamfer on the inlet of the Capricorn tubing. That should help. You can also try manually feeding filament through by pulling up on the lever with a spring to release the pressure from the idler pulley and allowing you to push filament through the Capricorn tube rather than having the motor do it
