Thank you Professor. You helped me solve a year long printing issue I had with my Dreamer NX. I would always run into under extrusion issues. I tried many different settings to fix the issue. The one that fixed it was the extrusion ratio setting. I set it to 98% and haven’t had a single issue with under extrusion since.
Thank you for mentioning the over extrusion problem. I have been struggling for the last week with articulated prints on my adventure 3 lite. I think that will help.
All sound great - my only niggle is the camera situation. I wish it was a higher resolution - that coupled with the time lapse function would have made for some terrific movies. Yes, the lighting has always been an issue for those of us who like to record - I turn the internal led off and have added a couple of external LED lights (fitted inside the cabinet) which I vary the brightness of while recording. BUT - otherwise, I'm mega excited and have started saving right now! 👌😁 Thanks for a great 'non-review'! 😉
For those who are Adventurer 3/Monoprice Voxel owners (like myself) do you think upgrading to the 4 is worth the investment? Are they roughly the same in sound output, or does the 4 run even quieter? Has the bowden extruder been upgraded? Does it "knock" as much trying to extrude as the 3?
I kinda spell out my thoughts on this in the blog post linked in the pinned comment, but the short version is, I'm still gonna recommend the A3. I haven't encountered the "knock" in my testing. And it actually is pretty quiet. (though, I should run it next to the A3 to be sure. I'll check tomorrow.)
@@3dpprofessor please make a video for sound, because I have an adventurer 3 and it is not so loud but there is the constant motherboard fan that sounds louder than it should be because of it placed in a bad position. There's more space on the adventurer 4 so I hope they fixed that.
The adventurer 4 is more of a adventurer 3 “pro”. I’m keeping my adventurer 3, they still sell it, and the 4 is just a bigger version of the 3, not a replacement.
And the Adventurer 3 was first to market. But if we're gonna demonize everyone who copies another 3D printer, there's a ton of Ender 3 clones out there that are going to make things real awkward. Actually, historically it's more interesting than that. The startup sound on every FlashForge 3D printer, that little 8 note tune that plays, Makerbot (pre-Stratasys) developed the board that does that. Then Flashforge copied their 3D printer, iterated on it, created something else (but with obvious ties back to Makerbot's board) and now Makerbot/Stratasys is copying them. It's strangely cyclic.
Do you have any profiles you can share for adventurer 3? I have been wanting to kick it to the curve now recently. I normally use the flash forge filament and tried the defaults as well.
I will be watching for more videos on this - I may get one - I just bought an Ender3 2x ( I think that’s what it is called ) I am a beginner - I am getting help putting it together - I might get this too
Thank you for the video Professor! I am torn between this and the Flashforge Guider ii , yeah its a little more money wise but seems to have some nice features. Any opinions? Thank you
I've just recently subscribed and watched about 10 of your videos so far while scrolling through I'm surprised you haven't reviewed any Qidi printers. I prefer them over flash forge but this adventure 4 sure got my eye with the quick change nozzle
Would you be able to reply here and let me know the height, width, and depth of this (maximum of each dimension)? I need to know whether this will fit in a space before I order and I don’t trust the company specs.
I just wanted to stop in and say THANKS. I recently jumped into the 3d printing game and started with an Ender 5+, which was a total nightmare experience. In the midst of trying to figure out what to do for the next step after that, I stumbled over your videos on the Adventurer 3. That did it for me. Bought one, been happily printing for a solid 2 weeks now. In that time I've already come up against volume constraints with models I'd like to print, and I'm looking at an adventurer 4 as the next in my stable. Do you have any ideas on when they plan to release the consumer version here in the US?
i have Version 4 ... the camera is always out of focus which is kind of a disappointment, as its just a really tiny thing they could have made better at quite no cost. besides that, it's a great machine!
''New FlashPrint support multi-device on-line control, managing printers in high efficiency.'' I'm curious how that will work out! EDIT: I really want the camera to function on the cloud so I could see how it's doing. Can't be there every single minute!
Getting thst camera from the outside world require a static IP or maintaining a server client relationship or a VPN or similar. All of those are extra costs

Also, you can buy the high-temp nozzle for the AD3
Greeting. I got Adventurer 4. How often should the hepa filter be changed? Manual say every 2 weeks if a 3D printer is used frequently.
I would say every 2 weeks if the printer is used frequently.
My question is that if I wanted a plug and play larger 3d printer for father's day, what would you get? (Would be open to light setup as well)
How big? I mean, the Raise Pro+ would be my dream father's day gift, but that's a bit outside the budget for most.
FYI: The Adventurer 3 is almost identical in design to the MakerBot Sketch. They're *really* similar.

What 3d printer do you recommend at this price range?

I just use flashprint. Wifi delivery FTW!

Now I am curious: what is the printer that can print Lego studs? :)
Zortrax M200, card in the video. I suspect the entire Zortrax line is capable, though.
Flexible filament??
Can, but it needs to be the stiffer stuff (TPU as opposed to ninjaflex) because it is a bowden.
Thank you for the video Professor! I am torn between this and the Flashforge Guider ii , yeah its a little more money wise but seems to have some nice features. Any opinions? Thank you
This over the guider. The Adventurer series was developed later and as such has some great features absent from the Guider series.

I've actually got a Qidi printer sitting in my review queue right now.

Trust the company specs. They're correct.
@@3dpprofessor yes, but they are not clear which one is the width vs. depth!
I’m still confused on how you only have 40k subs

Should be out now. Link in the description.
I hope someday to scan and print Tog'ls... what Lego wants to be when it grows up!
That's kinda the idea behind PrintABlok
@@3dpprofessor But do they have Action Hinges!?
@@Pygar2 There are many articulated PrintABlok bloks.
Veggie Tails!!!!
The crazy thing is that I’ve only seen this machine in two videos so far
Its brand new.
God tier Tie he got on
It's a tie with a tie on it!

Twist the ring around the camera to focus it.

But is it an Adventurer 3 killer? www.3dpprofessor.com/2021/05/22/this-is-not-a-review-for-the-adventurer-4/

Cool!
No assembly, where is the fun in that?
