This knife is a step in the right direction for Microtech. We've been stuck with whatever model we buy and the options if any were limited. We need more knives that we can customize. Now don't get me wrong, I love the proprietary screw idea but we are stuck with very few options to customize the knives we paid TOP dollar for. Not only that but come on Microtech, charging $20 & $30 for a tool that should be included.
I gotta say I LOVE the tri button thing. I’ve always noticed that with the OTF when pulling it from the pocket, it seems more natural and comfortable to open it from the side position, BUT closing it from the top position feels more natural. Best of both worlds if you ask me. 🫡

Will all of the blades be mirror polished? And are these considered marfione customs or signature series? Lastly, what is the base pricing on these? Read more if you want to see a strangers opinion on knives and why the Microtech socom elite manual has turned out to be one of the most used and carried knives I've ever owned. I have more Microtech's than any other knife brands. My all-time favorite knife is the Sigil MK6; my most used/EDC knife is the Socom Elite manual. Both these knives in a hollow grind would put them in another league. My best cutting knife is a Chris Reeves Sebenza 31, my best flipping action is a CKFT14, my best all-round refined gentleman action is the Cheburkov Scout, my best fidget and near perfection is the Koenig Arius Gen 4. One of my most prized is the CKF Snafu 2.0 and Evo 3.0. In regards to defense or fighting knives, my favorite and best action OTF is between my Microtech Ultratech Bounty Hunter and my Heretic Knives Manticore X. Both have smooth, easy deployment, but the Manticore X has a hollow grind blade that cuts better than the Microtech. My best quick opening folder is the ZT 0620. My best balisongs for flipping is BRS Alpha Beast, my favorite balisong aesthetically is Microtech Tachyon III, my best balisong for hard use is benchmade 85. My best camping knife is the SOG Pillar. My best survival knife is Firstedge 5150, my best Chopper knife, DPX Heft 12 Chop, My best hunting folder/deer Skinner is Benchmade Grizzly Creek. My opinion on best EDC knives as a tool, one and done high-end without crazy money under 300.00, is the benchmade 940 or ZT 0562CF. With all that said, in my humble opinion, the Microtech socom elite manual is able to touch each of these categories in some way very well, making it very versatile.
