This really shows the true capabilities of microtech knives. My buddy’s can’t understand why I spend so much on knives but they don’t realize the quality of your products. Great video 👍
One of the best torture tests I've seen on a microtech blade. I always question the reliability of a frame lock/liner lock. This video leaves little doubt.
I definitely didn’t expect that thing to still glide through paper after all that testing. Good to know you guys care enough to show us the extremes of use for your products. Hope I can be so lucky as to own that beast of a knife
The knife performed extremely well given what it was put through. It's surprising to see M390 hold up that well to that kind of abuse. I was also impressed with the pivot and lock surviving the batoning with no damage. I would never perform those kinds of tasks with a folding knife, but it's nice to know that if you had to the Bravo can withstand it.
Can we just note how unphased Ray is at the prospect of having to hit a knife blade from a distance... then calmly does it like it's nothing special.. kudos dude

that's a pretty sweet knife. i test lock integrity by tapping the spine on hard rubber. the slight "give" causes a different "shock" to a wood surface,and causes failure if the lock isn't dialed in
Ordered my first microtech 2 months ago. I went with the ultratech, and man do I love it. Best OTF knife I have ever handled much less owned. I’m an NC resident, so Hopefully I can check out the Mills river store one day.
This is such an Iconic Microtech Knife that’s been around Decades and has stood up to so much abuse that I’ve seen and still taking a Razor sharp hair popping edge. The SOCOM just does the Work… Semper Fidelis
Impressive always was on the fence to buy a microtech product always was a fan of the halo. Unbelievable the knife didn't break with the kinetic impact from the .40. Now I'm ready to go shopping! Appreciate the test!
I enjoyed watching these extreme tests more than the standard this is how long it is this is how much it weighs look at other knives for comparison and watch me cut cardboard.
It definitely held up well. Honestly your older torture tests with the Ultratech convinced me to buy a partally serrated RSK ultratech and it has served me well so far on quite a few fires and vehicle accidents in the 5 months I've owned it.

I love that it’s a frame lock. That was my only holdback on getting the Socom elite manual with its liner lock. I’m excited to see more models come out in this line.
Wow! I am a Microtech OTF fan and currently own two, and Ultratech and UTX-70. I was never interested in the folders but his video just changed my perspective on these knives. Super impressed!
Awesome knife but I bought my first Cold Steel knife last week and it has really impressed me. It's the American Lawman with CTS-XHP. I would put it up against any MicroTech or Benchmade and have faith in it.
I didn’t expect that when he said split a bullet that he was going to shoot the bullet. I thought he was going to baton it. I love this channel and all you do for proving microtech quality. Down the road I’ll own something you guys make.
I've collected few knives duing my lifetime, I'm now 80 years old but still fascinated with knives. I did not Know that Micro tech makes knives. What I have is a well made Micro Tech multi tool credit card size which consist of several mini tools which is very handy. With your torturous test, I'm convinced that this Micro Tech knife will last a lifetime. Thanks Ray

Very impressive knife. Sure those test were a but unrealistic, but sometimes life can be a bit unrealistic at times. I’m impressed that you pointed out the loss of the tip early on. You could have easily re-profiled the tip and we would have never known, but you took the hard path and that says quite a bit about your character and says volumes about your company.
Incredible! I've never seen a Benchmade do anything but collect dust. You guys just sold me. I'm selling all my Bench made to collectors that dont ever use their knives.

Awesome torture test. Just received mine back in December and been EDC’ing since. No markings on titanium or carbon fiber. Cuts everything I throw at it and still sharp. Wow, I have a CF Sigil MK6 which is my favorite manual folding knife, and I'm getting real tempted to get my hands on the SOCOM Bravo as its similar yet beefier, pretty much everything that I look for in a knife, lol! Thanks Microtech for making fantastic knives!!

Odd how I can use mine for a week and the blade will hardly cut paper. Yet they do destructive testing and it's good as new.

Really love the gray cf and bead blasted primary bevel very smooth! And bolster and everything.
Have three of your knifes. Use one of them daily. No issues and still sharp. Would definitely buy more
