  • This is how I got one of the best photos I have ever taken in my life - in Alpe di Siusi, the green area of the Dolomites. An absolute paradise for landscape photography. I decided to go a bit more in detail in this video, to give you an idea about how I experienced this landscape photography adventure, which effort it took and how I overcame all my doubts and struggles.

    All the shots were brilliant Christian but that last shot was EPIC! The way the light punched through the cloud and burst onto the landscape was just heavenly. Truly amazing to watch this video. Well done my friend, great work 👍🙏

    Wow, those shots were truely amazing!!! At first I thought: Oh no, not the Seiseralm! as it´s one of the most well known places in the dolomites and I´m absolutely not a fan of seeing the same shot over and over again. I have to admit, that i was kinda disappointed that you choose the "classic spot" for your sunrise shot, because I prefere unique compositions, that I haven´t seen a hundret times before (which is very very difficult, if not impossible at the Seiseralm). But anyways, you nailed it with that amazing light conditions and made the photos absolutely unique! Personally I prefere the crop-panorama by far. I really like the outcomes and I totally enjoyed whatching as always!

    • @christian.irmler
      @christian.irmler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Arthur, quite funny: I had absolutely the same thoughts like you, when I was planning my shooting :)
      I was also happy with the shot I got on first day with the thunder cloud, but for the morning the classic spot worked better, because of the better game between light and shadow. And there is no problem at all, to shoot a classic shot, from time to time. There are always possibilities to do it in your personal way ;)
      I also like the crop pano very much, but it's difficult for me to find a favourite, to be honest :)
      Thanks a lot for watching, my friend! Nice greetings,
      Christian

    The shots at 25 and 31 minutes are epic. We're staying up on the alm from Friday to Tuesday, unfortunately we can't expect clouds like this, but I'm hoping for some morning mists...

    • @christian.irmler
      @christian.irmler  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you, Mike 😊 I had a look at the global weather, right now. I see a ~20% chance for midlevel clouds on Friday morning and a ~30% chance for lowlevel clouds on Saturday morning (the latter is a dangerous prediction, as it is too far in the future. It would need to be checked again by tomorrow). Actually, there should be clouds exactly above the spot on both days, but it is spot weather, which means it could happen that the field of clouds appear a bit earlier/later or appear 50km away from where you want to have them. I cross my fingers for you 😉 But the location is also amazing without clouds, of course.
      Nice greetings,
      Christian

      Yes, I was also so happy that my wife gave that kind of "remote hands photography" a try. I think she would do it again, but just if it is not early in the morning :)
      Vlogging beside others is hard, but it comes with the time. Sometimes I still struggle, to be honest :) I think, it depends on how focussed I am to my photography and my vlogging. When I'm focussed, it works. I hope this helps.

    Christian, at 23:00 you were talking about cropping to a panorama format, and I wondered if you might be sble to "pull in" that right hand hut, by using a bit longer focal length and doing a 2-shot panorama?
    Ok, back to video. : -)

    • @christian.irmler
      @christian.irmler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lohi, you mean my original thought hut for the foreground? This would be too far away, I changed my camera position here by a few hundret meters. Of course, we could make a real pano, which would change the perspective slightly, so we could get more huts in, but the composition would not work for me, as the mountain would appear even smaller than it appeared already.
      But you know, there is no right or wrong. Just different possibilities :)
      Thanks a lot for watching my friend and nice greetings,
      Christian
