Apologies for the slightly fragmented nature of this video in production. The intro, editing and voiceover were conducted around 3 weeks apart, due to changes in the studio setup and new hardware introduced into the workflow that hasn't quite settled in yet! Also, you can almost certainly hear my cat in the background during some stages of the voiceover as I was recording from home (mandated self-isolation, etc). Hope you enjoy ut and it helps you choose an SSD for your PS5 storage upgrade. Have a great week.

Thanks for testing these! We now know that the speed differences between them are truly negligible. What I would love to see tested is how long they last. Like, if I buy a cheaper option like the XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade is it much more likely to fail after a couple years than the more expensive ones? Maybe checking their operating temperature with an infrared thermometer would be a useful proxy for predicting their longevity? I don’t know much about SSDs though. Do we already know that their longevity is pretty comparable between them? Is there any reason to buy a more expensive one? Thanks!
Idk if this is what you mean but According to the specs WD BLACK SN850 has a life of 600tb for the 1tb, 1200tb for the 2tb.. seagate firecuda 530 1tb has a 1275tb of life and for the 2tb its 2550tb of life. Samsung 980 pro, 1tb has 6000tb of life and apparently its 6000tb of life for the 2tb one. I think the last ssd has 700tb of life for the 1tb and 1400tb for the 2tb. Idk if that last one is right.

Perhaps a VERY stupid question.... but how do the SSD's compare to the internal memory of the PS5? Would it be better / faster to install a game on the SSD or the internal memory?
the internal built in ssd in the ps5 is fast but a m.2 ssd is a second or 2 faster there is not a huge difference in playing games really nothing now when moving games around the m.2 ssd is quicker .
