Thanks for posting! While following along, I discovered that my right wrist was actually quite tender to the touch during one of the stretches. Now I realize that I’ve been over-using my wrists since I’ve added a new exercise that to my routine. Had I not discovered this here, I probably would’ve sustained an injury while lifting. A lot of us are having to do improvised workouts at home nowadays. Changing a bunch of exercises at once is a great way to get hurt. Thanks for helping me dodge a bullet here…
For me more pain the better, I’ll dig and nead the trigger points in that thumb muscle and hold until the pain subsided and that seems to have the most success and comfort once the soreness is gone .
Wow! That was a big help. I started having sharp pains in my thumb last night and thought about going to Urgent Care this morning. I’m almost positive it’s texting thumb. The message exercises greatly helped. I’ll continue doing them. Thank you!

Omg I never even thought about massaging the other side of my thumb... I do sometimes massage my palms ... Turns out there's lots of tension there ... Thank you so much
Writing this with my non-dominant hand just to say thank you ☺. I'm drawing+I'm guilty of spending a lot of time on my phone. It still have hurt after I finished massaging but now it eases a bit. Also the first parts of the massage felt very nice. It's interesting how I instinctively wanted to do a certain move and it was literally the next thing you've instructed to do. I guess my body knows it's a good thing for it, so again: thank you. I think I'm gonna do it every day from now on. And maybe I'll put a little glove on my hand just to stop myself from typing with it lol
I am a 61 year old experienced bowler (30 years) and am experiencing some thumb pain. I am looking for ways to massage and alleviate this pain. Thanks for your help!
Thank you for that. I've had texting thumb for over a week and although I have hardly used the thumb in a week the pain is getting worse. Now it even hurts to lift things with that hand. The pain is a bit less after the massage and hopefully it will continue to improve :-)

Lotsa pain in my thumb. Been doing the wet noodle back:forth motions. Helped a lot, but still pain… I’ll try this. My mom called this morning.. having the same pain.. she says it hurts bad. We text a lot together. 😂
