My mother was born in 1962, my father born in 1964. My mother is the most immature person I believe I have ever met in my life and I have two children. She was raised by her mother and stepfather who did not teach her how to be a parent, or even an adult. All they taught her was neglect. The father of my children disappeared after 10 years of commitment. His father drink himself to death when he was a child. His father's father committed suicide when even he was just a child. Do you see where I'm going with this?

You my friend, are as right as 3 left turns. We are humans first. But just like every other animal on earth we have our gender specific roles. Those roles are the foundation on which we have built our societies as we know it. The same roles that brought you’re lineage to this day now to where you have been born and are able to not only express freely you’re ideas but also thrive with the luxury’s that you have available to you now. Without these roles, and by “roles” I mean duties, who knows where we would be. Maybe we can treat everyone equal and it would work out the same or better. But something tells me that human beings tried that at one point and realized that men should lead the way. I’ve been wrong before but if you’ve ever followed a woman through the mall you would realize that if they were to be the ones to lead society, we would still be in the Iron Age trying to make that new girdle and gown that she really wants and indoor plumbing and electricity and automobile would be only an idea to be dreamt of and never obtained… and wars?lol how about ww35 “battle of the smart mouth bitches from the restaurant the other night” and we would be the soldiers in that war of course.

It’s kinda funny that it started simply as shadow work instructed by Carl Jung, where I ventured deep inside to face my unconscious, and somewhat lead me to find God in my life. What started as a mere autotherapy evolved into a full blown odyssey which continues to this day.
This video that you uploaded now, from my point of view stands like a milestone of my progress, even a guidepost of sorts 😅 showing me what is still lurking ahead and what I already managed to get through.

@@BigToody The journey may seem endless as facing the „Heart of Darkness” is not simply a main objective but a turning point to the whole process. As Carl Jung said - „No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell”. And once you reach hell, there's nowhere left to go but up.
On your way back you start to see that the monsters were actually allies you forsakened and at some point you were a monster too.
It is as you said, the main Bad Guy is elusive and impossible to defeat, that’s why you are forced to partake in never ending war that will see its finale only when you die.
So brace yourself, draw your strongest weapon (love) and be ready to fight battle after battle after battle while having Infinity (God) backing you up whenever you fall.

@@longlakeshore What I'm pointing out is that there are several problems with how you phrased it, allowing for more unintended meanings than intended ones.
The point isn't to not project, since projection is fundamental to cognition, nor is it healthy to try to embody all archetypes necessary for psychological health within a certain environment yourself.
The point is to project in a healthy way on to appropriate objects/subjects.
*Note also that some archetypes may be very real, and so we should not assume or be shamed into believing that everything is inappropriate projection.
The problem is with what we *incorrectly* project, that actually only belongs to ourselves.

I truly don’t mean to be a downer or a doomer, but you can’t have a completely atomized society and then think that “the individual” will overcome it all.
Community, rituals, and maturity are ALL things that develop in relationship to other things outside of ourselves. Even the archetypes mentioned here are only valid in the context of being around others, be it friends, family, or “society” at large.
This is not to discredit the wisdom showcased in this video, but a reminder that the preconditions needed for these old rituals and archetypes are no longer present to the same extent as before.

Yes, there are distortions in the same way that the masculine psychology has distortions. One of the differing things compared to men is that women are more strongly associated with three stages of life (girlhood, motherhood, matron) compared to men being more associated with the two phases of boyhood and manhood. Biologically this is largely linked to the cycles of fertility and much of the psychology of the issue flows from that. Anyways, here are three examples amongst many.
You have a number that are related to the jealousy of aging women, particularly as their self confidence takes a hit if they are too immature to grow into the matron role. Just a note on the example that I'm about to use, it's pretty grim if you look it up. So if you don't like that sort of thing, don't. Empress Lu of China was jealous of the attention one of her sons bestowed upon his lover, Qi. So she took Qi and physically ruined her and then displayed in that state to her son.
There is the inverse of the match-maker where a woman seeks to ruin the lineage/image of someone, often out of jealousy. Tsarina Anna of Russia, for example, had an incident where she pettily tried to humiliate and ruin a noble named Mikhail Alekseyevich Golitsyn, first by making him her court jester servant and then by marrying him off to an ugly woman, forcing the two in the mock-marriage to spend the night in a freezing castle of ice.
The smothering mother, to the point of harming her children, is best illustrated by the modern 'Munchie' phenomenon where mothers try to get doctors to put their children on insane amounts of medications, largely so that the mother can showcase them for social media credibility.
Those are just a few of a much larger number, most of which are associated strongly with the three stages of female life (girlhood, motherhood, matron). And that's before getting into the abnormal/aberrations like the complete rejection of femininity. Of course, one thing that makes this a bit difficult is that we do have to take into account that a number of concepts of masculine and feminine roles are not necessarily intrinsic, and by that I mean that a number of them come from social constraints rather than essence. The essence ones are the more psychologically important, the constraints and often psychological formations emerging from rejection of constraints are often aberrant/temporary. Hope that helps.

@@elizabethmansfield3609 So, my take on the triple goddess (and masculine god form) is Maiden, Nurturer, Crone and Stag, Provider, Sage. Mother and father would lean too heavily into personal fertility rather than implying the truth that as we shift away from a self-centered mindset, we grow as people. When it becomes about providing, nurturing, and giving back to something outside of ourselves (plants, animals, communities, our pre-existing families or friends), I consider that a personal mark of maturing, with the single and simple caveat that it has to come from a place of personal responsibility and sacrifice, rather than people pleasing and self destruction. It comes from an internal guidance system of values and choices. Maiden and stag are both immature states of self actualization, meant to set the stage for us to enter maturation in the center phase of life. Crone and sage are somewhat more difficult for me to articulate, because I'm not there yet. But I'm sure it's about guiding all the generations through the stages of life. Everything builds on itself, if you can let go of what was.
