*How we feel and how we react inwardly and outwardly determine who we become, much more than the degree of adversity we encounter.*
After many requests on my previous video on masculine psychology, I have decided to create a video on feminine psychology (there are surprising few videos on it in a Jungian lens). Archetypes, of course, transcend gender. They are called feminine because they are based on the Greek goddesses (but also exist in many other forms). In future videos we will hopefully continue to delve deeper into man and woman psychology.

*How we feel and how we react inwardly and outwardly are themselves shaped by the adversity we encounter as well as our general experience, especially in formative years* . That's psychology. That's neurology. That's biology.
The only way your first statement could be true, we would have to have chosen our inner condition before birth with *no* influence from any biology, sociology, culture, etc. that *we* didn't ourselves develop *from scratch* .
That's totally and utter impossible. The best we can do is broaden and deepen our awareness to the degree our condition(ing) and environment allow. No more. No less.
Men have a "feminine" aspect as women have a "masculine" aspect so this video can be more than just helpful for men in relating to women. Of course, people of a given sex can have the opposite one's nature predominate as well, i.e. women with more masc, and men with more fem.
      Thanks for the insightful content.

      That is the point
With masculine archetypes it is like this too

I hope I am good enough at illuminating this

So this is something that I've been curious about - partly due to my lack of guidance from some of the people in my life. I really appreciate your breakdown of the different archetypes, and I can definitely relate to a lot/identify the ways in which I have acted them out. One thing that I've found (and I'm not sure if you've covered) it is that there is a great misconception about the heroine's tale. Jordan Peterson posits that a woman's ascent to maturity is by taming the "beastly" nature of a man, as outlined in Beauty and the Beast. But this is wrong as it again puts the entire focus on a weird kind of subservience to a man, the whole of the story being that she involuntarily gives up her life and rescues him. I think the better explanation for the maturity of a woman is outlined in the story of Eros and Psyche. Idk if you've covered this already, but I would be interested in hearing your take on it.

Having an ex with borderline personality disorder this passage hit me the hardest
"Persephone’s shadow expresses a woman’s tendency toward passivity, naivety, and a need to please and be wanted by others. She is the puella aeterna who doesn’t commit herself to anything or anyone (be it work, education or a relationship), because making a definite choice eliminates other possibilities. Persephone’s shadow is embodied in the woman who is so indecisive that she waits for something or someone to transform her life, like a girl waiting for her prince to come and be eternally in love and live happily ever after. If she finds him, however, she is quickly disappointed and finds that reality is nothing like her fantasy.
In her book, The Way of All Women, Jungian analyst Esther Harding describes this type as the “anima woman”, who receives the projection of a man’s anima and conforms to the image. She “adapts herself to her man’s wishes, makes herself beautiful in his eyes, charms him, pleases him.” She is “generally unselfconscious, she doesn’t analyse herself or her motives; she just is; and for the most part she is inarticulate.” In other words, it is her pattern to unconsciously conform to what a man wants her to be."

All personality disorders are persistent and consistent expressions of extreme aspects of the human character that is within all of us. In short, an archetypal possession. Diagnoses are sometimes helpful and sometimes more debilitating. Like, never read a DSM if you have lived a full life but don't have much training in it's contents, the urge to say, "Oh god/goddess, I do that too" is intense.

Feminine archetypes being displayed like this gave me a lot of insight and a new perspective on something thats usually a sensitive subject to delve into.

28:43 Hera as the marriage archetype also represents a mystical striving for wholeness through a hieros gamos (sacred marriage). Just as marriage involves a physical union, it also encompasses a spiritual connection, where man and woman become one flesh, achieving a greater sense of wholeness than they would alone. In alchemy, it is represented as the union of King and Queen (the central masculine and feminine archetypes), and is known as the coniunctio, the final stage in which the philosophers’ stone is created.

Evil cannot create but only destroy, and there for no knows no achievement or happiness. Those who enjoy pleasure in others suffering will never know true happiness, it is within this that it is indeed a lie.”
"Evil strikes you, infects you with hate and contempt, and then it makes you part of it. While making you think that fighting your enemies will bring you salvation. It won't, you are only serving evil. You don't fight them because *you* choice to, but because what they did, that makes you, and so they control you. That's how, evil controls you. Dealing with women is, indeed, mostly a challenge to me, because so much is so...how should I say, vague, maybe?
It's so challenging to distinguish what their persona or even ego and what their self is.
But this, this has surely helped me, especially understanding my mother, who I'd say has a prominent Demeter shadow but overall well managed Demeter persona and my sister, who somehow drifts between an Artemis, I'd say as a persona and a Persephone as her actual self, shadow included, though there'd be much more to say...anyway, thank you for this!

I used to be a Jungian fan of course the relationships he went against ethically with his clients changed my opinion. He’s still a landmark. However, at 75 and knowing about other female figures, like in the Hindus or even the Buddhist, which is far and few between like Tara. Yes there are other Psyche‘s to embrace, and granted that it’s a different culture. We have really made the world small and you can reach out and touch someone clear across the planet itself so therefore these Psyche’s of the feminine. Have ingrained themselves in us as well. It’s not just the Greek and Roman, etc. for example I also have a kindred spirit alignment with the Scottish crone; that being said I would like to see you do the same thing here as in other cultures, etc..

There’s so much truth here. Some behaviours I’ve observed in myself, as a man. What is the advantage of grouping by gender? Genuinely wondering.

    • @Luipaard005
      @Luipaard005 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Grouping is a construct created by emotionally immature people, its the whole "external locus of control" bit. By blaming someone or something else other than ourselves we are rescued from having to confront ourselves. imo if we are watching these videos from Eternalised then we're ready to put in the work of assuming mastery over our lives.

My shadow side (two sides of the same coin) is masculine and doesn’t see sex or gender either which creates this smoke behind me that brings a sense of intimidation. I think men and boys have an air of curiosity when women or girls have masculinity internally and externally. I physically look 50/50 feminine and masculine. I have received negative and positive commentary on my physical appearance and character. Whether it was direct or indirect. I use to be offended, but now I’m not because I understand myself in a way I couldn’t in the past. I think women and girls even if I was born 100% biologically a man would recommend that you should strive to add masculinity to yourself. I was raised with a toxic mom figure, she essentially embodies the toxic masculinity from men while appearing like a woman. Deceptive. I would battle with her on a field the same way I would with my dad. That’s how middle ground I am.

Y'all are so driven by consumerism you can't comprehend that nothing is "personal", it's simply exploitable.
