  • Here is one of my secrets for achieving better vocal recording.
    I have been using this technique over 15 years for myself and other musicians.
    When you angle a mic at a 45 degree, you can reduce the air pressure of mouth. Also, you can change tonality of your voice subtly.

    Congratulations on your video
    I'm from Brazil, and I have a small recording studio.

    In the vocal example I prefer the close feel of your voice much more when it’s not angled to be honest!

    Hello sir and thank you for your videos and tips.
    In case you didn't know, on your distrokid VIP link you left the r out of distrokid. When you click on it, it doesn't take you to the distrokid site. You have to manually type it in and put the r back in the word along with your name. Just wanted you to know in case you didn't. And if I'm wrong please correct me.
    Take care!

    That was nice, yes. Only except for the fact that I didn’t understand the 2nd tip due to your accent 😬 I think speaking slightly more articulated would help me. It’s no criticism, just wanted to have understood the 2nd tip better. Btw I didn’t know this technique, thanks. 💪

    I am usig Akg p220 microphone

    • @HongDaniel
      @HongDaniel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well~ I do not know the mic and the preamp that use. But you don not need to have a hardware compressor for vocal recording. It is all about gain staging. You should see my gain staging video.

      This is not exactly for the recording but I think you get the idea.

    You might want to check out these neat things they have now called POP FILTERS. They are placed in front of the mic and eliminate mic air pops.
