This made me almost cry ;; this is why I want to become a furry youtuber. To make an impact on others and make people happy! seeing this again makes my heart warm to see this it inspires so many to be who they are and with out this big platform we wouldn’t be where we are now
The way I found the fandom was through realizing I had my own interests in life. For years, I had a massive crush on a girl. I only listened to her music, watched shows she liked, and did everything she did. Eventually, I found that I was trying to turn myself into a copy of her to "get to know" her. When I realized she didn't like me back in that way, it hurt, but was also freeing. I realized that I could be my own person, like my own things. I realized my love of foxes again, and wanted to find the creative side I lost a bit from my ten ish year old self. I found this fandom through TH-cam, and really connected with all of you guys. I realized I could be my own person again, and me being in the fandom is proof of that. Thanks guys, for all the kindness and acceptance. After years of always wanting to be someone else, I'm myself again. And it feels great.
With each video installment you just keep nailing it. This production is on a new higher level but not knocking the other videos and pages out there as the stories of each furry is as different as the people inside but all have heart and soul and as a whole make up the Fandom :-D

My flatmates introduced me to the furry fandom mostly with youtube videos. They didn't push me into the fandom, they just wanted to show me some videos- which I'm really thankful for. I've been able to learn more because of my flatmates, and I'm learning more because of this mini series. Thank you.

I love furries this community brought me back to life I was deep donw in depression and then I found Majira and Beta and all of those furry channels then I began to be happier then I could not stop smiling every day and I'm happy to be a part of this awesome family. I started uploading short videos of furcons back in 2007 using a very cheap Kodak 240p camera (TH-cam could only stream at 360p maximum then). And I would always get a bunch of "Yiff In Hell etc" troll responses. I had several attempts to hack my account and have my channel deleted. But I braved through all the online abuse because thought TH-cam would be a great way to show how much fun this fandom is without the misleading sensationalism the mainstream media gave us then. I'm glad that things have changed for the better, though I miss the days when cons like Texas Furry Fiesta, Megaplex and FWA had under 1000 attendees! Keep up the awesome work with this series!

Ash, thank you. I love this fandom. It has made me such a better person. I’ve grown with this fandom over the past few years, and it’s grown with me. I love it so much... Although, for the past year and a half I’ve was thinking of leaving because I didn’t want to be looked at as weird or abnormal. This series helped me realize that it doesn’t matter if I’m weird, I will always have those I love, in and outside the fandom, to fall back on and get support from. For me it was the youtube algorithm that got me into the furry fandom. First I watched a video of a news reporter laughing so hard that she had to leave the room after learning about furries. From there youtube recommended me news videos of interviews with furries, and less than an hour later I was neck deep in furry youtubers.
we could also say that the furry youtubers from today are inspiring other furries to become in furry youtubers as well,positivity that is moving across the world, so thanks to all the fuzzballs for making our day better, bringing out a smile :,), i'm proud to say that i love this fandom so much.
I remember founding Majira in a point of my life were things were definitely not ok, and I remember the click I got after seeing furry videos that entire night, it's was the thing I needed in my life, a passion that I was sharing with a lot of people and I can say, that the fandom save me from some really dark place, all thanks to furry TH-camrs. I've found new friends, I've found a passion, I've found a community and even with the flaws it's awesome 💕
Wow! This came up on my suggested page and im like. In love with it. Its such an eye opener for people who are not exactly sure of what the fandom is really about. And this explains that theres more to it than what the “world” says it is. It explains that we really are just friends with the same likes and hang out and go to cons. And make people happy. Make a child’s day. Or do something fun for the elderly.
I think any furry will agree with me, two of the best things about the furry fandom are how well you can express yourself, through your fursuit or online, and how accepting and caring everybody there is. It’s a place TO be different. So, everybody there is different. One of the only traits that are 100% consistent is that we like to be anthropomorphic animals, whether in art or in real life.
I know the struggles , as a furry . Im a grey muzzle in the fandom , and def we get the most crap from normies. but im never letting that stop me because , im going to keep pushing on , as i go , and make more drone videos too . and im heading to wild night's fur con , in 2 weeks , so that's going to be a great time for me again , as i get to see all my old friends again , hugs to all you furrs.
I became a furry through a TH-cam video from comedy channel I watched. They did a video visiting a FurCon. I'll admit I didn't understand the fandom at first. But I remember I kept coming back to that one video. There was something about the people behind the fursuits and it seemed like a lot of fun. I wanted that fun and those kinds of friends. I was at a really stale part of my life. I contacted a couple of the fursuiters in the video and I've been here ever since. It's changed my life. ❤️
To be fair, it's perfectly understandable as to why furry is seen as weird. A massive mascot costume, usually in colors ranging from Eye-Catching to Absolutely Garish walking around is a talking point. Not to mention anyone can google furries and see why you should probably keep safesearch on. And most people have had at least one furry encounter at random online that didn't have this level of polish and sanitation applied to it (see: a furry in the wild) so naturally opinions are formed a lot more naturally than what this documentary would probably prefer to have happen.

(I am a young fur at this moment in time and at first my parents thought it was weird as most do but this brought new light and they see a little more clearly it’s not bad and just a nice fun hobby I can’t thank you enough and my family now get furries and are happy to accept me :,>)

Always interesting to come back every so many months and see how the largest fandom of the future (thanks to Disney, World of Warcraft, Pokemon, Japan etc) is going to slowly make its way into the spotlight of the future despite adversity from the rest of society.
