I came to revisit the documentary after knowing about Mark's pass away. It is a big loss in the furry community, but it also helps to value those who today continue to make an effort to bring out the best side of this thing that so many of us love. May he rest in peace, Mark. 💖
I didnt know what to expect clicking this. As a non-fur who doesn’t mind the furry fandom, this has educated me in such a way that now when i see furries, it leaves a smile on my face. I guess i was enlightened by it. Thank you. Edit: Awww thank you all so much
Thankyou, we really need more people like you. People that will sit down, watch this, and learn about our community rather than automatically hate us or assume things about us. Thankyou! 😊
Honestly before anyone makes assumptions about furries in a bad way i will tell them to watch this most of them won't but i support furries and think the internet has interpreted y'all wrong and nobody does research before judging.
My teenager sent this to me which made me ask them if they're a furry. I came from the narrow mindset of "it's a fetish thing" - THANK YOU for educating me on what it truly is. It's just a group of people who love the same thing. It's no different than the Whovian fandom that I'm a proud part of. I'm excited to learn more about this community and be able to be an ally and advocate for my kiddo 💜
EEEEEEEEEE HEY! Nice, yeah it's just another fandom. The internet LOVES to hate on them because it is SO accepting and there are a LOT of people who don't really fit in in other fandoms, or who are a little awkward to talk to, that stand out in other conventions, and they had no where to really go, so they got made fun of in other fandoms, ffff I have been part of this fandom since about 1995 and really have seen the good, the bad and the ugly of it all. BUT I have to say, out of all the subculture fandoms out there, these guys are the most cuddly and inclusive, interactive and open group. YEAH you get a LOT of fetishes in the fandom, they just append "fur" to it, like the adult baby fetish, they just say babyfur, or the leatherfurs, or the pony play ppl say ponyfurs and all that stuff. but its just so inclusive that well, there are a lot of sub groups of it now. But furry as a whole is so fun, and when i go to these conventions, all i see are beautiful people, sharing art and stories, costuming and giving hugs, not judging eachother for being who they are, and they are so friendly, it's like the new hippie movement or something lol. Anyway, thank you for watching this, and taking the time to understand your kids scene, it's pretty awesome. I know a LOT of whovian furries too by the way, so it's like a happy mix of stuff, i am SO glad to see someone willing to understand their kid's fandom, I mean, that really is a great thing for a parent to do. When i got into the fandom it was before the media made it into a fetish thing, my mom thought it was just cute and fun stuff ppl did, she thought it was weird but not as weird as half the stuff out there so she was cool with it. Luckily. It helped my entire growth as a person, and me loving who i was and being able to express myself and be a cool kid lol knowing my mom accepted my scene and was totally fine with it. Good on ya for being the cool mom, also I kinda envy the fact that you're into the who scene, my mom is... into literally nothing lol ida loved to go hang out with her at a dr who gathering or brought her to a cool convention and had her enjoy herself lol
Rest in peace Mark Merlino aka Sy Sable. Thank you for documenting his part in the early days of the fandom recording it directly from him and doing it so well and touchingly! I can’t imagine the courage it took to start the first furry convention in 1989! His efforts helped create a world where I can be comfortable being me! I’m happy I met him & recognized him for what he did. A life well lived!
I've never felt more proud of non-furries in the comment section. Yall deserve a medal, to sit through this to educate yourself? That's just amazing. Never been so proud of being a furry, best decision in my life to join this fandom. Now I have created fursuits, drawings and new friends 😁❤
@@UrbanRapier8310 they are made in so many different ways, they're are even makers that are "famous " in the fandom! Most fursuits are foam, fur, minky, fleece ect. Some younger furries are even getting creative enough to make those jurassic park dino masks into fursuits! Its all about creativity
I love how there is so many non Furs in the comment section just beginning to learn about the furry fandom I'm glad this video helped them learn what the furry fandom is actually about
I'm new to the fandom.. I've always drawn anthro but never really been into the fandom until a month ago when I suddenly made an OC and wanted it made into a fursuit
I know a lot of us are coming back here to pay our respects to Sy. It's so weird to see such an influential figure of the fandom just gone like that. My condolences to those affected and rest in peace, Sy.
This documentary is extremely healing for me. There was a point in my life where I started to accept that I was a furry, but then quickly went back into my shell and started hating furries because I didn't want to be cringe. When I first started to get into the furry Fandom, I started to accept that I might be trans. I didn't know what it was, but the Fandom made it seem like something that was just fine to be. But watching videos saying furries were wrong made me close off. It stagnated my progression with my identity. I hid away and hated myself for it. I found my own path. I figured out who I am, it just took a lot longer, and a lot more painful. Thank you. I needed this video.
Im not going to lie... I have been feeling the same for the past year ( not wanting to be cringe and so forth) ive always been interested The Fandom. I first found my first anthropomorphic characters (more human with ears and tail) from anime then found out there were a BUNCH of web novels and books out there featuring these type of characters. recently i have been reading the "you have been changed into a girl with animal features" books and it hit me as I watched this documentary.... I would not have minded being changed in the slightest ( well having to get new IDs would not be fun....) Ill have to make a trip down to a CON at some point when i have some extra pto... anyway i have rambled for long enough I hope to meet you guys at a CON at some point!
Omg yes! I forgot about that, but before I watched it, I actually looked at the length of the documentary and thought "Let's hope there aren't _too_ many ads😑"
Ik this probably will get buried in all the comments but it's something I need to get out of my chest. I joined the fandom in 2015, i was probably around 13-14 at the time. I discovered it watching Telephone and it amazed me, I never knew I could make my own animal mascot and run around with it, it sparked something in my heart and in that instant I knew that I wanted to be part of it. Then I started questioning my sexuality, found out I was Pansexual, and it scared me, in my country homosexuality is still not accepted as much.. and let's not even talk about my homophobic family.. The furry fandom was there for me, it always made me feel safe, it was a space where I could finally be myself without any fear of rejection, and that feeling only grew when I started making friends after my first furry convention, they're a really important part of me, and who I am. I Guess what I wanna say, is thank you, thank you for making this documentary, it just hits so close to home that I actually cried while hearing this, if it was not for this fandom, idk where I would be, i'm studing animation because of this, i'm not afraid to show myself anymore because of the fandom. Thanks a lot.. And to anyone who is reading this who's not a furry, everyone of us have our stories to tell, I hope when you see this you'll view the fandom in a different light, we are just people who enjoys being themselves, theres nothing wrong with that, and if you want to join us, we welcome you with open arms
I didn't quite grasp how important the furry fandom was to me till I watched this, it really is something beautiful, and so human. I'm not very active in the community, but it definitely helped me learn things about myself and others.
Looking at this I dont see a whole bunch of weirdos in furrsuits but a whole bunch of individuals that are fascinated by the unknown and willing to accept it. I am personally not into the fandom area but love the art this community has generated in which I believe that should these people meet a real anthromorphic creature they would appreciate it instead of shying away from it. Imagination is greater than knowledge.
993ti Thank you man i am a furry, and it’s always good to be respected, and i will admit anthro boys, and girls are a lot more attractive to me definitely males i am mainly bi because of anthro dudes, not irl dudes also i mainly became into anthro dudes because of Hyperdeath Asriel, in Undertale.
Not a furry, but love this documentary. Really well made. Edit: after watching this just sharing that i got here from a website, so people are starting to recognize this already. Hope this goes farther and wider and clears things up.
Same! My only vice, if you'd even call it one, is the cheesy free copyright background music in the first half of the feature. It's concise, succinct to historic pivot points, where it's ideally going and broaches the difficult stigma assumed of the fandom where it needs to be addressed.
usually, id be the meme and a half and start chanting one of us! buuuut, its honestly good to see outside people not hate the crap out of us, so appreciate ya amig(o/a)(not assuming what gender you identify as so..yeah)
Rest in peace Mark Merlino, this documentary shed light on history of the furry fandom that I had no knowledge of and I’m glad this documented a bit of his life. Thank you
Not a fan of furries but they honestly don’t deserve all the hate they get, their just being themselves and their actually very chill and nice people!!
Hating on furries for doing there own thing is like hating on car guys because they mod their basic cars to do what modern super cars can do and tell them "if you want a fast car just buy a fast car" and they dont realize that people mod slow cars to be fast because they can't afford a fast car like a Ferrari or Porche
@@Weird_Cat_Thingy i remeber before i accepted that i was a furry, i was in denial for a while, acting like a mild anti fur but now im a furry, id never admit it to most of my mates. As well as that im also a car nut and am actually learning motorsport engineering in collage. In the end we are all people, there is a line and furries arnt that line, not the actuall majority we see in this documentry.
I just finished watching this work of pure art. When they said, "we're home." I broke into tears This fandom at that moment That part That time. It changed my world. This documentary is absolutely beautiful. I have a mom who is very supportive of me being a furry and sadly I'm not at her house to watch this with her, but it was beautiful. My father and stepmother only believe that it's all nsfw and such but it's a whole family of people that share this magic together. We are the Furry Fandom and we are proud. Whether gay or straight, cis or trans, in the fandom we all can be ourselves. This place is my home. This place is our home. ❤
i dont mind furries, but what i absolutely hate is people having nothing better to do than to bully people for liking something that doesnt do any harm at all.
Rogue Wolf Skywalker but he got reazon the bullies are stereotypes only hate somepeople just for something who they like only see yolo fans the people hate them because they see yolo i didnt see yolo but someone like that are a bully a person who bully you for a idiot reazon
I´ve never met the starters of the fandom in person but thank you for everything. We will never forget you and everyone who stood at your side when it all started. Thank you Mark & Rod You two started the community and changed the life of so many people. Rest in Peace Mark /Sy and big hugs to Rod & their family. ♥
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how wholesome Rod and Mark are? They bonded over a subculture that didn't fully exist yet, built it up from scratch, fell in love at (a time when being gay was straight up illegal), managed to stay together all this time and still throw furry parties at their house with their friends. ↑Relationship goals right here↑
I’m not a furry, and totally not interested in the fandom, but in my experience, furries are some of the sweetest, kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. Never stop. ❤️
So true. I just want everyone to love eachother. I know there are some people who say a bit mean stuff but probbably not intentionally and people need to lear to sometimes forgive and let some things slide. This will make the era less toxic❤️
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the fandom will never ever be "one". People are jealous and shitty, people have mental illnesses that make them permanently behave in a toxic manner. Every known fandom is divided because of this, but shitty people have their own echo chambers, while wholesome people can have their perfect little hugbox ring of friends, away from each other. And that's exactly how it needs to be. Both can be themselves, without being forced to change to fit some mold. If they were, they would become bitter and ruin the fun for everyone else too. The only challenge is finding your group. Personally, in my country I browse the forums of new furries and direct them towards people with similar interests, sometimes into my own friend group too. I was shy and scared of what would follow if people knew that I was a furry. I have been in the fandom for half of my life, yet only accepted it and got into the local furry scene 2 years ago. Closet furry if you will. For extremely shy me, to find a friend group, I only needed someone to grab my hand and lead me. I burned myself out studying and applying for jobs for 2 years straight, constantly pressured about it. I forgot entirely to have fun, and deep into depression, I thought, what do I actually like. And I rekindled my burning passion for all things furry. This was the best choice I think I have ever made, since I transformed from disposable personality-less overachiever to the Happy and confident myself that I am today. Now I am the one to grab people by their hand. Even if only through internet in these troubling times, even if only 1 by 1, I do what I wish someone did to me eight years ago. They way you introduce new people, affects how they will see the fandom as whole. They are the future of the fandom after you, and they along with you with your actions, shapes how the fandom is TODAY. I know a story about an underage furry going to a very alcohol based convention, and hating all furries afterwards. While it is their own fault that they bursted their own bubble and thought what they saw was all there is, it could have been prevented. Now this hater of furries has a chance of becoming radicalized in the future. So look after each other.
I'll second that! Toxicity has no place in the furry fandom. People with differences of opinion can either avoid those topics entirely, or better yet sit and have a discussion about it and still come away from it as friends. The rest of society can keep the hate and toxicity. The furry fandom is our little island of escape away from that crap.
ehh, there tends to be a lot of social media drama between furries on a consistent basis but that happens everywhere in any community if I'm being honest.
Its really wholesome to see previous anti-furs coming forward and apologizing for what they did. Just because they saw this video. Great job guys. It might have been hard to admit you were wrong but in doing so you have showed you were braver and more mature than most. You have gained my respect. We thank you.
First of all, 1. They bring in extreme amounts of radioactive cringe. 2. Leviticus 20,15 says:" if a man has sexual relation with an animal, the man shall be put to death, and you shall kill the animal. " When the Bible said animal, it also meant furries. (All hail Jesus christ) 3. They are very annoying. When i was roasted a furry in roblox, they reported me, but didn't work. 4. The furry community is practically a place where u can express any thing related to gay, lesbian, etc. wich online can be very inappropriate and ruin children's childhood. 5. Whenever you furries get upset, you either bark and do nothing, or pretend your in a batman movie and gets pure 100% emotional damage from packgod. 6. 50% of furries demand litter boxes, scratch poles, and fursuits. Litter boxes are only for animals, not for humanoid animals. Scratch poles are for cats, not humanoid animals. How do furries even survive the summer, walking in suit that cover their whole body? All these reason are agreeable to those who aren't furries and to the anti furry community and people with common sense.
As someone who isn't personally a furry, but who has loved ones that are, I would like to thank the creators of this documentary, and all the people involved in the furry community, for showing such an informative documentary in such a compassionate way. What I have learned in my forty years on this planet is that even though people are all vastly different, it's those differences that make us beautiful. I would hope that anyone who watches this can look past their own biases towards those who are not 'main stream' and treat everyone with the compassion, love, and acceptance that we all deserve as human beings.
@@JingoJingo21 You come to a documentary that literally dispels your prejudices, and you come and spew out prejudice in the comments like an utter buffoon. How ironic.
non-furry here, I love how positive this documentary is. I have a lot of furry friends, and I've seen a lot of negative furry content. This was a really interesting documentary, I had no idea the history of the furry fandom was so extensive. Definitely sheds a new light on the fandom.
Im sad that the furry vs gamer war began. Its one of the actual wars that hurt many- no not like harm, like mental harm. I remember losing a best friend in the war, i was a gamer back then when the furry vs gamer war began. I remember the exact day the furries turned her into one of them. After, my best friend rarely spent time with me, she morely spent time in her community. I used to hate furries so much for that... I thought they were vicious creatures. I vowed to avenge my used-to-be best friend. As soon as she turned into one of them i knew we couldn’t be friends with her. But watching this document changed the way I saw furries. If I was really my best friends BEST FRIEND i needed to realise that i need to accept my best friends actions no matter what. I started to not hate furries anymore. But I will never bcome a furry. I am gamer goose forever, and I’ve already vowed to the gamer-girls that i would never become one of them. I do not hate furries with all my guts anymore. I’ve learned to love and accept furries and the way they live. Thanks to this document, I now understand what it is like to actually be a furry.
The production value on this film is through the roof. Like I've seen docs from actual studios that weren't nearly this good. And its enjoyable for people in and out of the fandom. Everyone who worked on this gave it their all and it shows!
Not a furry, but as someone who is a general geek/nerd I can totally understand folks wanting to enjoy their fandom together. I'll admit I was judgemental a bit before seeing this and some other media. No longer. Do your thing. Have fun
Thank you for giving each of us a chance to feel accepted and welcomed by the so called “normies” We are a wholesome and loving fandom with a common interest. I feel the reason why to this is that so much of the furry fandom are lgbtqia+ and some are neurodivergent, but still others are both. Neuro divergent people, at least the ones I know, are generally more loving and friendly than most other people. Are there autistic people that are assholes? Yes. Are there ADHD people who are hateful? Yes. LGBTQIA+ know what it means to hide your true self. Sometimes from families, maybe work, maybe friends. They feel that people should give them a chance and accept them for who they are. It’s only fair as everyone deserves a chance to be accepted for who they want to be (except ped0ph1les or murders) The fandom gives us the opportunity to be able to have a character that represents us in many ways be that person we all want to be. It gives us the opportunity to find people who want to be free to be proud of who they are, and form friendships and relationships from it. People have found love in the fandom, others have found long lasting true friends. I met met girlfriend through the fandom, she and I have been together for two years now. I would have never learned how awesome and beautiful a person she was if I had never met her and had something we shared. The fandom is equal parts community, creativity, sexuality, and camaraderie. The fact that there are people able and willing to want to see who we are without the broken lens of misinformation means much. Thank you.
Often, perhaps it is simply a human trait, people will assume malice, harm, or secret sinister intentions for things they don’t understand. While I won’t claim that you were experiencing any of these, it is often why we are apprehensive towards things we see as ‘weird.’ I think recognizing that and making ourselves (at least) hear out others we don’t understand is integral to being more open. It isn’t easy doing this sometimes, but I commend you for going outside of your comfort zone to learn about others you didn’t understand. Hope you have a good day!
My mom HATES the fandom and I’ve tried to express that we aren’t bad. I feel like the fandom is a giant family that is super inclusive and extremely understanding
The best way to get older people is to try to interpret their interests into the fandom! You can also try to educate them by using videos like these; maybe shorter though. If you can draw I suggest showing your drawings to your mother, and try to express that that is your interest and hobby. I hope things go well!
This isn't a "documentary about furries"....this IS the furries in every way possible. Thanks Ash for the idea and also thanks to everybody who partecipated. One and half hour of my life used for the best. And i almost hugged my laptop at the end.
@@someguy4512 They don't need to. That stuff's been covered by media so much that there's not really any point in even mentioning it anymore. What it does show is the stuff that is usually overlooked. Besides, they did bring up the topic. They also made it clear they don't want to go into detail.
Old Grey Muzzle Furry here. This is an excellent look at the fandom. Growing up in the 70's in Australia, I knew I was a furry without knowing what a Furry was. Its wonderful to be able to openly express ourselves now with Conventions and Fur suiting events.
Thank you for making this. My 14 year old son identifies as a "Furry". He's has ALWAYS really enjoyed dressing up in animal costumes, wearing animal theme pj suits, etc. He likes dressing as animals and I like making complicated costumes...so it's a win-win. I found this while searching for tutorials (I'm making him a full fursuit this year for Halloween). I had no idea there was a whole subculture around it!
Im okay with furries, they can do their things, but what i absolutely hate is that whenever they say something anywhere, there are always people that bully or just say anything mean towards them without _any reason_ or what i see on a daily basis is pictures that say "1 repost = 1 dead furry" like dont you notice that? youre wishing death to people who mind their own business and did nothing wrong, i still dont know the reason why everyone hates them so much. Edit - Now after watching this entire video like 3 times, whenever i see a furry out there in public, it puts a smile on my face and makes my day better, when i see one that is taking pictures with others, i just want to take one too, furries are awesome.
sadly bigotry is bigotry, there is no real ryme or reason to it but people find ways to hate others for the sake of hatred and nothing more. Luckily many are not like this but many are silent to such things.
Many people think that furries think of themselves as animals, basically people don't know what therians are and believe that therians and furries are the same thing
Probably the biggest factor in this visceral hatred is that it's not actually felt on the other side of the computer screen. The Internet has a way of making people exaggerate things to the nth degree, which results in a lot of stupid, edgy garbage only teenagers would normally say being spewed out. One-upmanship is huge in online communities. "Furries should be smacked." "Nah man, they should be flogged." "Nah, they should be hanged." "Nah, they should be skinned alive," etc. etc. You get the gist of it. Some people legitimately do feel that hatred, but most of it is just people trying to get a rise out of us to impress their equally immature friends. Historically, furries have been bad about handling that kind of mockery and not understanding that it's intended exclusively to piss us off, so we got all defensive and stuff. I think we're figuring out how to handle it better now, though, which is also helping our image. Humans don't really seem to like weakness, and furries have, in the past, exhibited a lot of it, mostly for reasons explored in this documentary (marginalized groups finding a place of acceptance and whatnot).
@Josiah Simpson Yeah, it's something you're interested in, if he doesn't accept you because of your interests then that ain't a friend, though.. be careful, if it gets out you could get bullied :/
I’m so glad I found this fandom(16 years old). The only thing is that I can’t tell anyone around me because they all hate furries and I would never see the end of it. I found out about this fandom a few days ago but I already know this is what I want to be apart of. This amazing, loving and unbreakable family. I am currently struggling with depression and suicide and I think this amazing fandom will help me . 🙂
This'll probably get lost but, I'm a young furry and watching this was so wonderful, at moments I actually started to cry because even though a lot of people I know don't mind, the majority of people around me are very rude and mean just because they don't understand besides the harmful negative stereotypes, I wish everyone could see this. The furry community has helped me through so much, I've gained confidence, I've come out, I've been myself and for this to be out here, it's beautiful. Thank you.
Be proud. be onapologetic when they harass or put you down. . thats something young people have nto been taught, the will to not be afraid to shock people and be free to be who you want to be.to do it and not care if people hate. When others ee you fend off enemies, they will be drawn to your strength and your positive character.
I’m a youngfur too! I feel how you feel. Generally my family is fine with it. My friends are too, but they still thought it was weird that I was in this fandom. I’ve never had an irl furry friend. And I don’t even have many online furry friends either. But the furry fandom is what keeps me motivated to grow and improve. It’s probably the community I’ve felt the most at home in. I love this fandom and the people in it. I wish you luck!
I’m not personally a furry, but I love the fandom and love how inclusive everyone is in it. I think the concept of being able to put on a mask not to hide yourself but to show your true self is so empowering and truly something special. I always had a special place in my heart for fursuiters for their craftsmanship and the effort they put into their hobby, because it really does make me happy when people just unapologetically be themselves- especially the trans community in the fandom, because being able to try out pronouns and a new identity in the form of a fursuit is just incredible really. There’s no other fandom like it, and while I never found the appeal of being a big cuddly wolf I do understand how special it is to some people. I hope one day I can make it to a convention after quarantine, maybe wear a costume of my own, probably not one with fur since that’s not my style and a bit expensive but I’d love a chance to be who I truly am without judgement.
Honestly, wearing some ears, or maybe even a personalized hoodie is a really fun way to express yourself and stick with the themes! That, and most conventions will have themes, such as futuristic or streampunk, so that's also something fun to work with!
Mr_ Röhrs it’s more so drag really, both are the same in a way just on different ends of the same spectrum. I’d love to be part of the fandom but I really don’t get a lot of the things you know, it’s not really my thing. I wish it were.
Cacteyes You don’t need a fursuit to be a furry! Most of the fandom doesn’t even own one. You need nothing but a fursona. (Make one in your mind if you don’t know how to draw, that’s what I did be fore I practiced drawing) and enjoy yourself!
My daughter showed me this to show me what the fandom is like. I’m glad this is here to eliminate the misconception. I actually went to a convention with her last year.
I'm glad she showed you this video it's very easy to get bad information about the furry Fandom especially on the internet because of how many people make it look

Came back to watch this again out of respect for the recent passing of Mark, one of the founders. RIP good sir, you started something that thousands to millions are truly grateful for!
I really had no idea that the furry fandom had this kind of history. It was so surreal and fun seeing the humble beginning from the 1980s and 1990s, I could feel an odd sense of nostalgia watching those old VHS recordings lol. While I wouldn't necessary call myself a furry, I've always like anthropormophic characters even back as a child, I really liked the art and I like drawing it so I suppose in the artistic sense, I would be considered one since most people who commission me are furries and I have a few anthropormophic characters of my own. That said it was a lot of fun seeing this sort of time capsule wrapped into a documentary, so cool to see how it all started and how much effort Rod and Mark put into the fandom vand they seem like genuinely nice guys with a chill attitude. All in al, amazing job, one of the best documentaries I've seen for the fandom as it went over the different decades, the humble beginnings, the positives, the negatives, it had everything really, just nicely done. :)
Really, you’re only a furry if you identify as one. If you don’t want a label, you don’t have to take up one. Do as you please and call yourself what you want ^^
Its very sad to see all the recent hate comments in this beautiful documentary. People don't understand how much this community means to people including myself. I just want to say thank you so much for this amazing documentary. It means a lot to me seeing the community and how supportive they are. I will always be apart of this wonderful and kind community. Too all the young furs (including myself) I just want to say: NEVER LISTEN TO ANYONE! ALWAYS BE YOURSELF. NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. LIVE IN YOUR TRUTH!
@bigboyjonathansgarden7926i agree, while the message seems to be good, it implies that you shouldn't listen to criticism. Not a hateful thing on furries btw
This is making me cry. Everyone thinks our fandom is a fetish, but's it's really not. The furry fandom has changed my life. Iv'e met so many wonderful people, and as soon as I found out about the furry fandom I fell in love. I had always loved animals, especially ones with 'Human like animals'. I might even be going to my first furcon soon. This isn't a fandom. It's a family. 🐾 Edit: Oh jeez thanks for the likes
My first character was the C/FO co-mascot, Sy the skiltaire (which became my nickname) After Ken Sample created Ken Coug'r, I made Sylys Sable, the American pine marten, who is actually ME (my fursona) and my partner Rod made Vinson Mink for his fursona.
For the people who aren't furries but respect them: Thank you! It is perfectly fine to not want to be included in the fandom because of what you've heard in the past. Being a furry is not for everyone, and that is 100% ok. For the furries: No matter what you do, or anyone really, *someone* is going to hate you or what you do, and you can't always control what people think of you. Just ignore them and keep being you
I mean....... I hated furries then I started to know more about them and respected them until more recently that I became a furry and a lot of my friends hate furries guess that’s karma for hating y’all
In December 2014, I was an edgy high schooler who really hated everything for some reason, and I was sort of an anti-furry, if you wanted to call it that, and once I made an anti-furry video that I really regret making. Then someone else, a guy named Blu the Wuffsky (probably not their real username) said that I needed to open my mind a bit. I talked to them, then realized they were just like me: a person. Then I deleted that video and made a retraction video saying "You know what? I'm fine with furries actually." Fast forward to 2016-17 and being a junior in high school, I met my best friend who is a furry, and we talk together still to this day. Became a freshman in college in September 2018, met another furry, then in August 2019 we became boyfriends, though the relationship only lasted a little over a year. So in conclusion, you will become who you hate after a while, as I happen to be an autistic, bisexual furry.
As an old furry from the 90’s and not as active since 2005, this made me cry and made me so nostalgic about the old times when everyone knew each other. I attended Eurofurence 8 in 2002 in which Kage was guest of honor. It was still a small convention and we all had the beautiful outdoors to hang out, BBQ, etc
agreed, a lot of people are either afraid or hateful of what they don't understand, its how humanity tends to function. We avoid things we fear and attack things we hate. Kinda like how the world wars broke out, everyone hated each other and so they fought with each other.
I'd hold reservation Because this video only highlights certain aspects to make the Fandom look like societal paragons. There's an ungodly metric ton of crap going on in the Fandom. Mainly Politics right now. If you lean anywhere other than Left, you will be attacked, doxxed and harassed.
We’re just a group of people using an age old tactic to express ourselves in ways we feel like we otherwise can’t-I get that it’s a niche thing and might make some people uncomfortable, but recognizing that it’s just a bunch of ppl having fun is a great way to prevent the hatred and harassment that furry’s often face
Yeah I like drawing anthropomorphic animals but I thought furries were just weird people dressing up. But it's so much more and I'm glad I've learned that.
@@rodrickraccoon95 Im sorry, did I ask you? I was actually thinking of getting a fursuit and becoming a furry to raise my self esteem and you comment this, thanks alot.
Fallenpaw 30 But your drawings and using animal drawings as avatars is part of being a furry. Its not a big deal really. I think its awesome. I think you should get a furry suit
I think you can already be a furry, that's a big misconception, you don't need to get a fursuit to "become a furry" there are no requirements to be in the fandom, it's just a hobby after all
Ok. Didn't expect to be so absorbed in this. I expected to cringe and not be able to continue watching, but that never happened. Well done! This is real well done. I mean, really. This was awesome.
I’m not a furry but I am a friend of a furry and I don’t get why people focus on the negatives of this fandom. (If there are any grammar/spelling errors in this I’m sorry)
I don't get it either, i am trying to make them undersrand more but they just ignores all the positive things and just continue calling them fat people with mental illness, and i hate that so much. I wish that they'll try listening for once
Chicken Nuggets I think one of the main reasons we get so much hate is because of how most people learned of this community in the first place. Most people probably first heard of it from a non-furry source that gave them the stereotypical low-information “haha fur bad” response, and because of that mindset that they’re all bad, they don’t look into both sides of the argument.
because poeple are told since young age that to get respect you need to hate poeple who are different, should it be your skin color or your belives, or finaly for what you like, as if it was a bad thing.
Being a part of the furry fandom is something that is hard to explain . The love that I feel cannot match anything that I have ever experienced . I became a furry by accident . It's a long story . I just wish I had discovered the fandom when I was younger . You see I was 48 when I discovered the fandom 4 years ago . I'm 52 now . At my first convention , Motor City furry con 2017 , I experienced my first hug . I actually cried and did not want to let go ! This is an experience that will live with me for the rest of my life and I will never forget for as long as I live . I will always be searching for the cutest dalmatian that gave me that hug at all the conventions I go to . I am now and will forever always be a furry ! @55:17 this is a moment you will remember for the rest of your life ! This is where I cry every time because it is true !
This feels so.. personal? It's the fandom being examined by it's members. This isn't a documentary by an outsider talking about something they don't care about, it's so beautifully done. it's so real. i love it.
Thisbut also Lisa Ling's Doc wasn't half bad as an "Outsider looking in" Doc. She too also interviewed Kage as well as Telephone. great ambassadors to the fandom.
Unto my dying breath, I will never understand furries, but I don't need to. All I need to know is that they're some of the nicest folks I've ever known. Out of the hundreds of them I've met, only a single one was a bad person. I can't say that for any other group that comes to mind, even groups I belong to. So whatever it is that makes you people be what you are, keep being that. The world needs more people like you.
@@UltimateGamerCC I mean, I think you're reading too much into when I said I don't understand you guys. Not understanding something isn't something you can help, and it also doesn't imply anything negative. It just means it's not my thing, personally, subjectively. Yeah, I'll never understand it much like I'll never understand why some people put mayo on pizza, but I have no doubt that the people who do that truly enjoy it and that's all that matters.
For me, I just explained to my friends what the community was and told them that I was in it. After a few months, they pretty much were just unfazed whenever it came up, knowing that it was part of who I am. I can’t say if that strategy will work for you, since I don’t know your situation, but that was how I made my friends understand.
It's really sad that this is true. People can't do research on something they think they hate, and then they bash innocent people for no actual reason.
I’m not a furry, but wow this is heartwarming. I believe so strongly that we all deserve to find a place for us - if finding enjoyment and inspiration in anthropomorphic characters brings you to that place, then that is a WONDERFUL thing!
My boyfriend is a furry and I’m a “horse girl” and artist in the equine community. This culture has fascinated me for ten years now, almost half my life. To know more about it gives me a reason to become closer to him. Thank you, Ash and friends, for putting this together. I appreciate this perspective of insight of a “taboo” culture.
22:11 "furry is full of sexuality because furry is full of human beings who are alive and thinking and feeling." This is now why i love even more the furry artstyle.
it's really sweet to see the fandom come together to pay their respects for Mark online, be it on this documentary, on twitter, or in VR, wherever the furries are... the fact that there's so many of us is thanks to his labor of love in making and building the fandom back in the day
I really expected this to be another Furry Documentary written/produced by non-furries and put off watching it regardless of how many times it popped up in my recommended. Today I finally decided to watch it and it made me so happy. This was very clearly made by someone with so much love for this fandom and I am so glad/thankful for that.
I am not a furry by any mean I was extremely non accepting of them but this video has made me feel different about that fandom I guess some respect for furries
The Furry Fandom is more than just a fandom, a hobby, or a community It’s like a big family. Once you find the fandom OR when the fandom has found you, you are now a member of the furry family. It’s relaxing, it’s lovely, and it’s an amazing place to join.
As a man who grew up in the rural South. Furry was seen as taboo. I will fully admit that this idea stayed with me for a while. Today, though I am not part of the Fandom, my views have changed. I think everyone should have their own niche, their own identity, and their only little place to call home. If that means that you are in this Fandom, then more power to you! Stay strong and keep going everyone!
@@luci9407 Lord Almighty, I remember that. I usually just don't bother and use the justification of "I'm an adult, I will do as I please". But young furs and people still living at home might not have that luxury.
I remember when my friend came up to me and said “hey you like a lot of things that furries like, I think you’re a furry. You should be a furry.” I just shrugged my shoulders and said ok I’m a furry, what the heck is that? And she sat me down at lunch and told me all about it. I was a little weirded out but got hooked on it real fast. And now almost 3 years later I’m sitting in my room watching this next to my 2 suits one made by her the other made by me drawing one of my characters. Thanks Scar for dragging me into this crazy fandom, best thing that’s ever happened to me.
Remember folks: "The human mind rejects everything that it's different. It takes a lot of courage to overcome that factory setting. So don't hate the unknown before you see it's true colors in person"
As a young fur, I have to watch this with my family, they accept my hobby but for example my mom doesnt really understand why I love this fandom so much
Maybe because you find that there have been a lot of people who found they weren't alone in 'being weird' since the 80s through today and that today there is a much larger safe space for other like minded people. It's always nice to have reassurance that no matter what, there are other people who can identify with you, no matter how weird it is to most other people.
I’m only a minute in and I find this heartwarming. The fandom gets so much hate. *so much hate* But this video explains what being a furry really means perfectly!
Im not one at all. Furries dont bother me. Though i’ve always liked anthropomorphism. But im not a furry. This girl i like is, though.....she’s a wolf.
I Have no Idea why I'm so surprised that furries started in the 80s. They've always seemed like a thing that could only exist in the 2010s and onward on the internet and conventions. but the fact that this community was founded and nurtured without its use? wild. This is a great documentary
I will be 100% honest. I would honestly love to join and become immersed in the fandom. Unfortunately, everyone I know would ostracize me, and would mock me for partaking. I'm honestly so sorry that the furry community has gotten such an awful stigma perpetrated by the media.
That’s okay. I’m so sorry you would get so much hate if you told people you’re a furry but let me tell you something. You don’t have to have a suit or have to be able to draw furries or even have a fursona. If you think you’re a furry or want to be one? There you go. You’re a furry♥️ good luck to you bub
Do it! Don't let other people stop you from doing what you love! Heck, it took a lot of convincing to get my mom to see furries are not a sex cult! Do what you love!
Im gunna say my favorit line for this "If your friends dont support you, then they are truly not your friends" If your friends ostracize you for your interests then they really dont care for who you are and its best then to leave thw friend group that will end up hurting you in the long run because you will become ovetime a lot worse.
im not a furry, but i will say this, the furry community has been the the kindest people I've ever met, they all treated me with such respect and love and in return so did i, to all my furry friends, i love you and thank you
i recently came out to my boyfriend about how I'm a furry. I even showed him this documentary just a few days ago! he's always made fun of and disliked furries and he even told me how he wouldn't have dated me if it wasn't for the fact that we weren't already together.. but even with him not supporting me in this.. I'm glad that I have other people in the fandom I can relate to. this community is where I've met most of my friends.. I wouldn't know where I would be without them at my side. Thanks to everyone in the community for being such awesome people.. even when people put you down for the things you love always remember it's just because they don't understand it! And you're always valid and allowed be interested in whatever you wanna be interested in!
hey dude, i know you don't know me, but i just wanted to say i'm glad you're sticking to your interest even if he doesn't understand it. i'm not a furry myself, but the fandom is close to my heart, and i've always loved their craftiness and creativity with their art. i just wanted to say, if your boyfriend continues to be so sour towards your interests, i really think you should have a long and serious talk with him. even now, since he said he wouldn't be dating you if you weren't already together, it just shows his silliness. i don't want to overstep my boundaries, but i hope at least he understands one day, since you deserve someone who can respect you for you. have a great night/day dude!!! sending all the love 💘💝💞💛
The thing is...does you being a furry change who you are to him? Like, you're exactly the person he started dating. The only difference is that now he knows something a bit more personal about you.
@@SamWeltzin yeah, he said that it's something that he doesn't know that he'll ever be comfortable with- he doesn't like that I am one and thinks that its something really weird of me and honestly has pushed him away from me a little I feel- but thats okay. cause in the long run I guess he's still with me so he's trying his best to be understanding
2:00. "ew furry". BRUH YOU'RE IN A HOW IS THAT NOT A FURRY??? edit: holy freaking crap, almost 700 likes. uhhh... thanks y'all??? uh... follow me on twitch if you wanna see a furry play TF2??
I hope this changes everyone’s perspective on furries. This really gave me hope to change my moms mind about the fandom. No one should be hating on furries just being themselves. Being a furry is completely harmless and not really bothering anyone. As I’m in the fandom, i have kept it a secret for 4 years now. I thought my actions and drawings would have given it away by now lol.
Im not a furry but the thing that hits the most was „The fandom is about animals, doing things that animals dont do normally“. That was the point I realized that furrys are not some weird internet culture but people celebrating animals that act as we humans act. Crazy but really really heart-warming
What an amazing piece of work.. THE #1 REPRESENTATION OF FURRIES IN MEDIA HISTORY... and I've been in the fandom since 1999 when I was 17. I kinda came into the fandom at the start of the whole BurnedFurs movement and it was a little crazy, and I hadn't even been to my first con yet. 2002 was when I went to my first convention and it was a very emotional moment. That moment where it was just like, "Wow, I feel so comfortable and relatable to everyone here, this is amazing!". Everyone loved the same stuff I loved and it was fantastic. It's a feeling I will never forget. I could never just leave the furry fandom.. I've had so many great memories with people. As weird a bunch as some can be, .. this is absolutely a great lifestyle of folks to be around. I wouldn't trade it up for anything else! I hope I'm able to be blessed with many more years with all you critters out there!
Same thing happened with Bronies and you can get that from Zootopia fans. Most eventually migrate to furry because ... we are here and their fandom doesn't have enough new going on.
@@ALurkingGrue yeah the furry fandom has persisted and survived this long because it doesn't require a book, show, movie, comic ect. It's just individuals with fun characters. That and the fandom sorta has it's own mini economy.
I feel like this newer generation of furries dont have a grasp of what is going on in this fandom. I noticed many think they had to have fursuits and the such to be a furry, when in the beginning of this documentary they explain it all started because we liked animal people. For me, i loved disney cartoons, didnt even realize there were more liveaction films, i always stuck to what i grew up with. I didnt realize i could make or get my own fursuit until around 2017. I started making fursuits as a way to bring my one character to life. I feel a fursona should be an extention, as a fursuit doesn't need to be had, neither does a fursona. we can be furries without all the fancy stuff and just enjoy the company around these things we all love.
I kind of consider myself a furry because I really like animals and I like arta dn drawings and drawings about animals and stories about animals. So I guess that is pretty “furry”
As a youngfur, Yeah, alot of fursuit imagery influences us to think we need to get fursuits. Of course, we don't, it isn't a nessecity to be a furry. I mean, I really want a fursuit (Was supposed to go to to my first furry convention last year but of course stuff happened) I wanted to make a fursuit for myself. Some of the newer youngfurs (who joined in the last couple years) think you need a fursuit, I thought that aswell. The only reason I went through with wanting to make a fursuit was because my dad thought I needed one (I explained that it wasn't a need but he said he wanted to make it an experience). Im lucky enough to have been in the fandom since I was 5 (I was WAAAY too young to be on the internet tbh). Do point out any of my grammar mistakes, english isn't my mother tongue.

I came to revisit the documentary after knowing about Mark's pass away. It is a big loss in the furry community, but it also helps to value those who today continue to make an effort to bring out the best side of this thing that so many of us love.
May he rest in peace, Mark.

I didnt know what to expect clicking this. As a non-fur who doesn’t mind the furry fandom, this has educated me in such a way that now when i see furries, it leaves a smile on my face. I guess i was enlightened by it. Thank you.

Thankyou, we really need more people like you. People that will sit down, watch this, and learn about our community rather than automatically hate us or assume things about us. Thankyou! 😊
You should see the other side of this fandom, it would destroy everything else

Agree

Bro who cares what other people think this shit isn’t even a big deal. There are worse things you can like then anthro dogs and cats lol

@@GalekC This was a TH-cam movie

Same! My only vice, if you'd even call it one, is the cheesy free copyright background music in the first half of the feature. It's concise, succinct to historic pivot points, where it's ideally going and broaches the difficult stigma assumed of the fandom where it needs to be addressed.

Rest in Peace Mark /Sy and big hugs to Rod & their family. ♥
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how wholesome Rod and Mark are? Mr Metokur’s deep dive into the topic says otherwise.
I hope that this documentary brings the fandom closer together, and cleanses the toxicity. Beautifully done.
You’re content made my day thank you
ehh, there tends to be a lot of social media drama between furries on a consistent basis but that happens everywhere in any community if I'm being honest.
Its really wholesome to see previous anti-furs coming forward and apologizing for what they did. Just because they saw this video. Great job guys. It might have been hard to admit you were wrong but in doing so you have showed you were braver and more mature than most. You have gained my respect. We thank you.

Fun fact: anti furries who swear loyalty to furries are caled idiots. Real antis wouldn't give a single godamn shit

@@TVc0l0rb4r5, those who hate them just don't know anything and believe the first thing they read on internet.
Have fun
thank you for accepting us you are awesome
Thank you for giving each of us a chance to feel accepted and welcomed by the so called “normies”
We are a wholesome and loving fandom with a common interest.
It’s only fair as everyone deserves a chance to be accepted for who they want to be (except ped0ph1les or murders)
The fandom gives us the opportunity to be able to have a character that represents us in many ways be that person we all want to be.
Thank you.
Nice, now you accept weirdos that abuse animals.

Thank you.
I wish you the best of luck my friend
Be proud. be onapologetic when they harass or put you down. . thats something young people have nto been taught, the will to not be afraid to shock people and be free to be who you want to be.to do it and not care if people hate. When others ee you fend off enemies, they will be drawn to your strength and your positive character.
i give to you all my hope that those people may see the errors and the wrongs in how they treat furries
hello fellow furry
"I'm not personally a furry, but"
-everyone outside the fandom
Honestly, wearing some ears, or maybe even a personalized hoodie is a really fun way to express yourself and stick with the themes! That, and most conventions will have themes, such as futuristic or streampunk, so that's also something fun to work with!
Mr_ Röhrs it’s more so drag really, both are the same in a way just on different ends of the same spectrum. I’d love to be part of the fandom but I really don’t get a lot of the things you know, it’s not really my thing. I wish it were.
Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate it:>
Cacteyes You don’t need a fursuit to be a furry! Most of the fandom doesn’t even own one. You need nothing but a fursona. (Make one in your mind if you don’t know how to draw, that’s what I did be fore I practiced drawing) and enjoy yourself!

Just ignore them and keep being you
This was very inspirational, thank you.
your welcome... that's from before furry me
This is correct, I totally support this. I wish you the best life possible
You should look Blu up and tell them this. I'm sure they'd love to know they had such an impact on you.
As an old furry from the 90’s and not as active since 2005, this made me cry and made me so nostalgic about the old times when everyone knew each other. agreed, a lot of people are either afraid or hateful of what they don't understand, its how humanity tends to function. We avoid things we fear and attack things we hate. Kinda like how the world wars broke out, everyone hated each other and so they fought with each other.
I'd hold reservation
Because this video only highlights certain aspects to make the Fandom look like societal paragons.
There's an ungodly metric ton of crap going on in the Fandom.
Mainly Politics right now.
If you lean anywhere other than Left, you will be attacked, doxxed and harassed.
Perhaps I treated you too harshly....
Im sorry
Yoloarmyjacket it’s ok buddy boi
Thank you for taking to time to try to educate yourself, we all really appreciate it. We're not as bad as people make us out to be
I’m glad that some people who are watching this understand that it’s just a hobby, even though some people set a bad example
Too late! Fifteen years too late!
Jk we good have a good day^^
It’s ok ;3
Rest in piece Mark. This documentary showed me your story for the first time and helped me learn how this all came up to be.
I guess furries aren't as weird as i thought they were.
-Edit: Damn thats a lot of likes/comments thx!
Yeah, we’re human too.
Yeah I like drawing anthropomorphic animals but I thought furries were just weird people dressing up. But it's so much more and I'm glad I've learned that.
well are just humans too, we are just like a normal fandom too
WitchHunterRed dude seriously? Why you gotta be like that?
I...Im touched. Im not a furry but....being someone who learned to draw by drawing furries....this makes me feel calmer.

@@fallenpaw30 ok? I’m sorry , :l
Yeah same
The music was cheesy but overall it was fine.

I’m glad you support your friend as a furry
Because we're used to only seeing the bad.
It sells. That's why the news.os so negative.
This feels so.. personal? It's the fandom being examined by it's members. This isn't a documentary by an outsider talking about something they don't care about, it's so beautifully done. it's so real. i love it.
I feel like this is why this documentary is so amazing.

You deserve the best in life. Thank you so much for understanding.
well, that's not the best answer ever, but from a non-furry, i'll take it, least you're not joining in the hate.
"I sucked at drawing people so I drew animals." yup, that's basically how I started. (I've gotten better at humans, I'm still a furry though ^^)

I wish my friends will understand that furries are great and kind people
For me, I just explained to my friends what the community was and told them that I was in it. After a few months, they pretty much were just unfazed whenever it came up, knowing that it was part of who I am. I can’t say if that strategy will work for you, since I don’t know your situation, but that was how I made my friends understand.
Me too son
I have a deal with my friend that if either of us are furries we can beat each other up
Hikaru _ I mean, that sounds kind of pointless if both of you are so opposed to it that you came up with that deal, but do as you wish.
Diamond Tiara True
I get really mad at people that just accept what they see and hear, don't search about before saying shit.
Leonardo Romano Preach it to the heaven, and beyond my dude they also do that with Undertale.
Just like Karens on Facebook, they’ll believe whatever lies they see on Facebook.
It's really sad that this is true. People can't do research on something they think they hate, and then they bash innocent people for no actual reason.

The Furry Fandom is more than just a fandom, a hobby, or a community
It’s like a big family.
And this documentary just shows that you should always make your own opinions rather than blindly buying into what the media tells you.
As a furry, thank you for doing research, and for coming to understand and tolerate us.
As a furry from that particular region, I can tell you from personal experience that it doesn't go over well.
I myself am a furry in the Deep South. Convincing my parents this was safe was a hurdle in and of itself. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
@@luci9407
Lord Almighty, I remember that.

My mother doesen't understand it too
I don't know why, i rarely cry, unless it is something that means a lot to me, but i cried a few time while watching this and i dont know why
Maybe because you find that there have been a lot of people who found they weren't alone in 'being weird' since the 80s through today and that today there is a much larger safe space for other like minded people. It's always nice to have reassurance that no matter what, there are other people who can identify with you, no matter how weird it is to most other people.

I Have no Idea why I'm so surprised that furries started in the 80s. They've always seemed like a thing that could only exist in the 2010s and onward on the internet and conventions. but the fact that this community was founded and nurtured without its use? wild. This is a great documentary
I thought they were only starting to get popular just before the 2010s
I will be 100% honest. I would honestly love to join and become immersed in the fandom. Unfortunately, everyone I know would ostracize me, and would mock me for partaking. I'm honestly so sorry that the furry community has gotten such an awful stigma perpetrated by the media.
That’s okay. I’m so sorry you would get so much hate if you told people you’re a furry but let me tell you something. You don’t have to have a suit or have to be able to draw furries or even have a fursona. If you think you’re a furry or want to be one? There you go. You’re a furry♥️ good luck to you bub

Get new friends,? You can’t let that hold you back
Im gunna say my favorit line for this
"If your friends dont support you, then they are truly not your friends"
If your friends ostracize you for your interests then they really dont care for who you are and its best then to leave thw friend group that will end up hurting you in the long run because you will become ovetime a lot worse.
im not a furry, but i will say this, the furry community has been the the kindest people I've ever met, they all treated me with such respect and love and in return so did i, to all my furry friends, i love you and thank you
i recently came out to my boyfriend about how I'm a furry.

Im not a furry but the thing that hits the most was „The fandom is about animals, doing things that animals dont do normally“. That was the point I realized that furrys are not some weird internet culture but people celebrating animals that act as we humans act. Crazy but really really heart-warming
humans are animals and act just like them, idk what you mean. Every "human" behavior is exhibited by most mammals
Amazing to here that Laphin! very nice of you to share your story into the fandom 😁
I wish I could go to a con. Sadly. I’m young and My mom would never drive me somewhere like that. Plus. Some are far away!

reminds me of the Brony fandom, eww furrrys...your anamorphic HORSES! or all the kids with their"zootopiasonas" like cute baby furrys.lol
Now that’s a Bruh moment
Same thing happened with Bronies and you can get that from Zootopia fans. Most eventually migrate to furry because ... we are here and their fandom doesn't have enough new going on.
@@ALurkingGrue yeah the furry fandom has persisted and survived this long because it doesn't require a book, show, movie, comic ect. It's just individuals with fun characters. That and the fandom sorta has it's own mini economy.
Bakustop What makes me laugh about that is they were roleplaying as anthro’s as well so they have no excuse.
I feel a fursona should be an extention, as a fursuit doesn't need to be had, neither does a fursona. we can be furries without all the fancy stuff and just enjoy the company around these things we all love.
they just worry about the impression they will make on the fandom, knowing what is more common now
I kind of consider myself a furry because I really like animals and I like arta dn drawings and drawings about animals and stories about animals. So I guess that is pretty “furry”
That's right, a fursuit it's kinda like making cosplay, you don't need it to be a comic fan, you do it because you feel great with one
Not everyone is 100%
As a youngfur, Yeah, alot of fursuit imagery influences us to think we need to get fursuits.
