Hello! I just saw this because I saw people in fursuit on N Seoul tower!! I didn't know what it was but now I found it! I don't think I'm furry. But I think this is really nice hobby. I wish there was more understanding for that (sorry for my english ㅠㅠ) Lots of love and support from me!!
These types of videos makes me cry. It's honestly my dream
Commonly what I gather from certain news headlines about the fandom, the community, and watching this video (among other places I'm sure) is that the Furry Fandom is one of the friendliest and welcoming fandoms out there. Some *scientific* studies even indicate that there are psychological benefits to being in the fandom vs not. I've been in this fandom for only two years, and I've seen it grow and grow; I can't wait for the community to welcome even more people into it!
I can't really remember how I discovered the furry fandom... through facebook or it was maybe an mv with fursuits (recommended by youtube). I just fell in love with the creativity and the talent of the community. The character designs, the fresh artsy ideas, the fun, the colors, the friendlyness. Everything. I don't know why people says bad thing about this particular fandom, every fandom has a dark side haha I think it's amazing how people create their own character and then they bring it to life. I tried to create a fursona, and it's really hard to me because... I love cute and colorful stuff, but also dark and creepy stuff. I'm known to be serious and silent, but also to be cute and very expressive, so it's like... I need more than one fursona to describe myself, and I still don't find what suits better, or what I want to be (I'm always between a bat, a bear and a deer. I though about combining them. It may be interesting I think). The thing is, this fandom is inspiring in many ways. I'll be waiting for further episodes. This is amazing. I'll send this to a friend that I introduced to the furry fandom :)
I'm genuinely looking forward to the next episode, and I want to see where all of this is going. And I'm amazed that you managed to pack so much cuteness into such a short video. Overall, great work! One thing, though. I'm wondering if I can submit closed captions, since some of the suiters are a bit difficult to hear.

I instantly said "Yes! I wanna be that!" So I created my fursona, and been falling down this fandom's rabbit hole for 4 years now
To be honest if it wasn't for the fandom I wouldn't be who I am today, i learned how to work on my self as well as working on being creative and just being a good person, wile feeling accepted and just all around knowing.... I'm not alone, there are others out there if it wasn't for the fandom I would still be judgemental, depressed, introverted.
This community one that’s happy to accept you for who you are! You can be a happy red fox or a chill blue wolf or a crazy black and white owl wolf hybrid and you’d still be accepted because you are yourself! I’m happy to be a part of this wonderful fuzzy community because it helped me with a lot of my Depression and it makes living life a lot sweeter with an adventure

When i was a bit younger i had this huge fear of mascots but after watching some youtubw videos maybe im not so scared of them anymore. I.also.loved the warrior series and redwall as a kid.
Thank you so much for being the best furry documentary ever! Also I am thankful for the Czech subtitles, I can perhaps show it to my family. Thank you. :)

This is wonderful and can not wait to see more. It will help with explaining in college settings, like writing workshops, what the fandom is so people can be more open with their stories. I will definitely be sharing these with the class.
Could I ask you couple questions if you don't mind? How much has the fandom done for you? How has it changed over the years? How accurate is this compared to your life?
@@fallen_vague28 im glad you asked. The fandom shown me that it was okay to be bi, that i wasn't a mistake. The people ive met have taught me that i wasnt alone. Before i joined, i was in a dark place. Ive actually attempted just ending it. My parents were divorced. My gandpa just passed and i was raised in a severely conservative household so it wasnt easy to come out. I still havent but i realised it didnt matter if they knew. I am in control of my life. My brother got married and came out as gay in 2016. Which prompted the exact reaction of what i feared. My mom disownes him but my dad tries to connect but still disapproves. As for the fandom it has changed for the better. Growing from this obscure niche to a positive home for people like me. I wasnt really a big partaker of the community until i declared myself one which was around age 15. Maybe. I cant really remember but it had something to do with me joinig a club of writers. Just me and the other school misfits that didnt really fit in. We wrote mostly science fiction and Middle earth fantasy. I think i still have the drafts somewhere. And to answer, this documentary is something i see as a final way to end harsh stereotypes of which plagued me as well. I am currently wanting to become a self published author. But that will have to wait becuase of personal issues. It warms my heart to see people get along. The world tries so hard to tear itself apart. I look at myself and the fandom and say we've come far but the battle for improvement is still going.
the furry fandom has definetly made me less depressed and i have a way better mind set knowing theres a light at the end of the tunnel the fandom has definetly given me a better mindset on and a way to look at life i just love to see the cute furry faces and smiles its so much fun knowing what ones imagination makes there fursona because its who you are its so much fun doing drawings too i hope to see you guys at anthrocon really dont leave me hanging i know you want a paw high five lol
The most what I like about furry’s is that...... you can be what you want maybe an characters from cartoons or maybe from movies anything and people can do more furs on as and more it’s just amazing it’s not amazing it’s more then amazing I hope that this community will stay on this planet forever.
Who cares if they do or don't? Most of them have undesirable views whether those be racist or homophobic views. I have no interest in making friends with them. It's up to them if they want to educate themselves or not, but we shouldn't waste our energy trying to befriend people who are terrible people. If someone is curious about the fandom, or open to civil discourse? That's different.
I may just be a huge furry (to the point where would almost die to have my own fursuit) but I know a good documentary when I see one. This just what I need to convince my mum that furries aren't wrong (after the fact she watched the 2003 CSI episode ' Fur and loathing').

What a great video! Can't wait to see the next episode!
Thank you!!!
The first episode and I already love it! Keep up the good work and good luck on the Kickstarter thing when you get around to it!
this is really great, cant wait for more episodes
You know, I used to be in the Furry fandom once long ago. But this is so beautifully done! It’s such professional quality entertainment. I definitely need to binge this!!!
IT TURNED OUT SOOOOOOOO GOOOD IMG I LOVE IT!!!
Great work! 😸 I truly believe that this documentary will go down as a fantastic source of knowledge for new furrys. 😸😎🐾
*"In your own words can you descibe the furry fandom?"*
"Hmm."
*Same.*
Absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to see how far this goes! 🌸
Me too!
Thank you. :)
4:25-2:38 this is what is happening in my life right now because I want to join the fandom but the thought of the other people make me "moving back" and that make me sad every days
@@thewatcher5305 thank you
7:11 yoo I just cryed happy tear for the first time
This is wonderful and can not wait to see more. It will help with explaining in college settings, like writing workshops, what the fandom is so people can be more open with their stories. I will definitely be sharing these with the class.
Thats wonderful!!!!! Let me know what they think
This is EXACTLY what the internet needed to truly show the real side of this fandom! Can't wait for part 2.
I'm so excited to share the rest of the series
Quite wonderful! Best of luck with the documentary!

I swear the fandom is one of the only reasons I'm still here being a furry makes me so happy
Omg I love this series so far! They accurately represented the fandom and it’s so refreshing to see the real side of things (for me)
Honestly one of the best videos I’ve seen on this topic, awesome job everyone!
Great job! I look forward to seeing more episodes in the future 🙂
Been part of the fandom for almost ten years!!! Hard to believe that so much has passed. Love the documentary. 😍
Oh my goodness haha I just love my little Keel cameo at 0:12 with the tuba. I had no idea my space gator would end up in a documentary. ^^
I'm using this as a scholarly resource for my furry ethnography thesis. Thank you Ash.
Thank you so much Mr./Mrs. AshCoyote. Now people and new furries understand the furry fandom in a healthy, better and a more entertaining way.
I ACTUALLY STARTED CRYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS OMG THIS WAS SO GOOD. Good job on making this it was incredible to watch 💚💙💛🧡❤ :3
I think the series as a whole will have a really possitive impact. I am glad that you enjoyed it
@@AshCoyote Defenentily! I really hope this goes big, so that people who aren't part of the community can get a good first impression ❤
I look up a metal band and this pops up as an ad....I WASN'T LOOKING FOR WHOLESOME but I'm here for it...
Lets send this to haters! Let's give them a chance to understand us!
Jasmine The Maine Coon good idea!!!
That's some of why I made this, to help show the outside world what we're really about
@@AshCoyote and I support you with that.
@@AshCoyote oh also just to let you know I've done you some specs for your own Initial D car.
This is incredible! It's so well put together and It looks great! Keep up the awesome work, Ash!
Thank you!!!
@@AshCoyote np!
Average convention attendees: eh this place is cool

Average convention attendee: AWH COME ON MAN! WHAT THE FUCK!?
LOVE LOVE this! Amazing work everyone!!!
This was a great documentary! And for me, it was the wings of fire books. They kind of kickstarted my love for dragons which helped to lead me to the furry fandom.
Absolutely amazing work. Such a high quality video as well! I cant wait for the next episodes. Thank you so much for making this documentary.
Absolutely! It's been a labor of love for us. I'm so excited to share the rest
