@@everythinggirly916 I meet some furries are actually christians I'm not religious but I keep my faith out of the fandom due to mockery and some petty bullshit in the fandom
Wow that hits hard but yes they spat at him and beat Jesus like a worthless dog also laughing at him before he died for us yet he saved all of us through the pain and extreme hurt so that we could see today and more with a smile on our faces that alone makes me thank him so much he did that for us!
One of my major pet peeves with the furry fandom is how religion (Christianity mostly) is so negatively viewed. It becomes a mockery within the fandom and anyone who brings up religion is immediately turned away. I totally understand that not everyone has had a positive experience with it. I myself was raised in a Christian family, was saved at a young age, and I'm still a part of the church I attend. I do believe in God, though it can be difficult at times. During my time in the fandom I try to use what I've learned in church to encourage and help others. I wanna be different from what everyone sees on the news and in social media. Not all Christians are bad; the same way that not all furries are bad either.
Why do you believe in god, I seriously do not mean to offend, I wasn’t raised in a religious family so it doesn’t come naturally to me, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to
Actually I'm not religious so even though I defended a Christian from be mocked from some asshole and I reported this guy and the admin gave me a trouble ticket just for defending a someone's faith especially a Christian I said to my self "wtf wrong with this!"
I agree. I think Christianity gets a bad rep bc of those extreme people who want ppl to repent and they look down and frown upon LGBT. Heck, some of my Christian friends are in LGBT. God loves everyone and I think it's stupid that's some extreme Christian's hold grudges over things like this. I too, was raised in a Christian household and got Saved at a young age. I went to a Christian School for all of elementary school. My old church was very traditional and Baptist , and I get so much crap for sharing the Gospel sometimes. Like, online usually when the topic is discussed; I don't like ppl to think I'm like "REPENT NOW AND YOU WONT BURN" or anything xD
Actually, being a Christian made me a furry! *story time* I have always been a Christian, my dad has been the pastor of the churches I’ve gone to for 90% of my life. I have always loved animals. When I was 4 I wanted to save animals by being a veterinarian, but then I realized the animals might die even if I try to help them after my dog died. Then I decided to be a zookeeper, but the zoo must have cheetahs because they are my favorite animal! Many people say, “cheetahs being your favorite animal is not original, you just like them or being fast” but actually, cheetahs are my favorite animal because of how detailed God had to be in order for cheetahs to be able to do what they do. Their non-retractable claws for traction, their largest nose-to-face ratio of all cats to help them breathe faster while running, the black lines from their eyes to their nose to help them see long distances, etc. All of this thought up by one person, God. ~years later~ Discovers furries from something (not in appropriate though). I do more readers here and get mixed reviews about them being completely inappropriate and not being inappropriate? I get confused and decide to leave it for a different day. ~more years later~ Re-discovers furries ‘for the first time’ again. I do my own research and find out they aren’t bad. I tell my parents. They are very strict about Christianity and stuff. However, they are completely fine with me being a part of the fandom, as long as I “don’t go onto any websites about furries unless a parent approves it!” So yeah, I’m the end, I am a part of this fandom because of being a Christian!
Thanks for sharing. I can relate to this. When I admire animals and nature, I am simply appreciating what God created. When you think about it, God created what is essentially the origin of ALL character design, and that includes fursonas. Since we are created in God's image, It just makes sense to me that we are all inspired to dream and create, just like God did when he made the world.
@Ghost In The Shell's The Laughing Man ~I’m not sure if I’d be super into it (just cause the war part) but I’d definitely try it! My brother would absolutely love it though! Sounds fun!
Technically, God created us in his image, and part of that would be creativity, so we kinda follow in his footsteps without even realizing it... Many of us create our furrsonas in our image...
This. I'm crying right now. As a Christian in the fandom, it's been such a difficult road for me to get used to. I am so happy this topic was covered because even with my closest friend and girlfriend being Christian furs, it can feel lonely being in the fandom. This video was really touching and motivating, thank you so much!
Lucky, I don't even know any furries, Christian or not. Don't forget, we're here for you! All thirty- five of us Christian furs lol. Then again, I'm still pretty young. I'll probably find others when I move out and become more active.
As a Christian furry this video was a shock, I’m super happy that we have been recognized. Honestly we stay in the shadows because of the negative connections between religion and public communities like the furry fandom. Believe it or not we are a loving people, well most of us that is. As I believe and as the Bible states we are to be loving like Christ and to open our arms to the ones who need it the most. But before I get on a ramble I just want you to know this video touched my heart and I am super greatful
I play kingdom hearts and in that game, the character Roxas literally did not have a soul(or heart) but it was revealed that souls are created through the memories and relationships you have with your friends.
I'm a Christian fur, and I know of other Christians in the Fandom. I wasn't very surprised, but I'm just glad there are actually a lot of other peeps here!
Oh yay! More Christian furrys like me!! every year when i go to my Christian summer camp i usually bring one of my fursuits with me and every one loves it. I rember this one person who came up to me and said he was suprised to see a Christian furry walking around summer camp because he told me that he havent met alot of Christian furrys before and was surprised to see me as one of them.
I'm a Christian furry too! (While I express furry art in my drawings more) I always try to stress the difference between a Christian and a hypocrite... I would never judge anyone just for sinning differently than me, because if God judged me for all of my mistakes... I'd get into trouble every 10 seconds! Lol
It's sad that so many are convinced that God hates them. It brings me sorrow that many churches make others feel rejected. I love Jesus and am a furry. There has been judgment from some of the Christians but many of us want to love on others. Great video! I'm happy to have learned about these fellow Christian furries ^^
Leviticus 20:15, NLT: 'If a man has sex with an animal, he must be put to death, and the animal must be killed. Leviticus 20:15, CSB: If a man has sexual intercourse with an animal, he must be put to death; you are also to kill the animal. he may not hate them but they aren’t in heaven
Richard V Lionerheart - God feels bad for the wicked. God rarely gets mad at people, but it has happened in the Bible, but a lot of people saying “IF YOU ARE ______, YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO H*LL!” are wrong since God is very forgiving and loving.
@@codybuilam6086 dude I know how you feel but seriously don't be an ass to Christian's . Most of them in this community are really nice and only have a different believes and there nothing wrong with that
Yooo! Im still learning more about the fandom cause im pretty new to it, and I love this series! Great job making it, love all the episodes! Religion means a lot to me as well. Keep up the great work ^_^
This was a very pleasant surprise! Thank you for covering this topic. It's not always easy to be a person of faith in this fandom, but having open conversations like this goes a long way towards making our community a welcoming place to people from all walks of life. PS. It's a real shame that my TH-cam channel isn't fully up and running yet. I notice that you said you found it hard to find furries who were willing to talk about this kind of thing openly. If I was more well known, I would have loved to contribute to this documentary episode! Maybe some day, if you guys are still working on stuff like this. ^w^
The furry fandom is largely LGBT+, and many LGBT people (including myself) have been religiously abused by many people in the past and present.. strangers and loved ones alike. This is why religion being brought up in a space that is typically seen as safe for them makes them uncomfortable. Having a faith isn't inherently bad, but understanding why people find it uncomfortable and not taking that discomfort personally is important to consider. If you are religious aim towards helping those who have been attacked through religion in the past become comfortable with you. Help them see that religion can exist in their safe space with no harmful intentions, not through preaching but through existing peacefully with them. This was a great addition to the documentary! I'm really glad it was covered, thank you.
This episode has lit up a path on a topic I have been struggling with myself since joining the fandom. Thank you for showing me that it's okay to be who I am and still be religious.
I love these but I wish you covered other faiths than Christianity I have nothing against them and in fact respect them a lot but I think there are a lot of faiths in our fandom :0 I mean I don't expect them all being covered but I personally feel as if "religion" in the fandom only has the christian connotation But overall still Loving these so far :0
OMG thank god for this video! I am a proud Christian, but had been worried I would shame my religion because of being a furry, especially because there are some kinky parts of the fandom and a lot of LGTBQ+ people. I’m so glad that I can still be in the fandom and still honor my religion ❤️
Interesting to see this topic being discussed. As a person researching into the furry fandom, I had found that religion was not really a big deal compared to other demographics, yet it may play a big role spiritually for many in the fandom. Being a non-furry currently studying in a music technology course, and having watched this entire documentary from the first episode, I realized that in real art, things like religion and sexuality don’t really matter, but rather it is the underlying purpose of the creation of the artwork, be it paintings, sculptures, music scores...and in this case even fursuits. The furry fandom is art, and art is a form of creativity and expression. Varying opinions exist, of course, but we must not forget that, in Buddhist terms, the INTENTIONS matter, and so far the furry fandom has had good intentions, despite being somewhat marginalised like certain religious, age and ideological demographic. All in all, I would like to say to the fandom as a whole 2 things: 1. Keep up what you are doing. Spread the positivity that this world sorely needs. Venerable Ajahn Brahm said that the world needs more. 2. I honestly feel envious, because I live in Singapore so I don’t get to experience this in person. To the creators of the documentary so far, well done! This will go far in spreading the real stuff in this era of false info. Kudos! 👏😄
I'd love to have seen some more beliefs represented, but it was interesting to hear from some christian furs since that isn't a common furry faith to have. but neither are a lot of religions, there's usually more spirituality than organized religion in this fandom, i'd like to hear from all kinds of folks all over that spectrum! I understand you probably had a pretty small group to pull from though.
Really, I prefer spirituality over organized religion, and that's coming from a Christian. If God loves us so much, and gave us free will, we should walk our own paths, with God by our side. I say that religion is forced, rigid, and harsh. Meanwhile, a relationship with God is always changing and developing as you mature and grow as a person and in Christ. Too bad we're so small though lol.
This series you are creating is a beautiful thing. the next time somebody i meet has questions about the fandom I will direct them here. I am also a christian and it has been such a blessing to have a small group of furry friends that know exactly what I am feeling and relate to everything I can feel. And they love Jesus too so I can join them in prayer and in loving God and others.
Christopher Godby that’s exactly what I was thinking, I don’t have anything against Christians or any offset religions under that umbrella but there are other religions. Maybe they didn’t cover it because it was just easier to find and interview Christians since they’re so widely available?
@@cinnmiel3047 Possibly, but it would still be better, overall, if they could expand on this and not have the Christian viewpoint be the only one represented.
@@cinnmiel3047 Some furs were willing to talk about other beliefs off camera, but weren't comfortable talking about it in public partly due to the social climate. We hope to cover more with the Kickstarter film. The film not only gives us more time, but we could actually go to furs who are willing to talk about it on camera if it gets funded.
Chip Fox that makes sense. People in America especially are pretty hostile in recent years due to a certain political figure and administration. Too bad no one was willing to talk about their non-Christian religious beliefs on camera though. The Fandom documentary seems to be getting a fair bit of traction and that could really help people to be more comfortable speaking out about their beliefs and normalizing different religions in this community.
Honestly as a Catholic convert I'm really glad for this kind of coverage. I always try to judge an individual person on their actions, not the actions of others in a group they affiliate with. I hope this encourages others to be open-minded about different kinds of furries that might not be the majority in the fandom
1. For the flurries that are Christian GOD brought you hear for a reason and it can be any reason because “HE LOVES YOU” 2. I love the art it catches my interest, It catches my eye, and the detail you people put on there canvas or digitally is amazing
As someone who is standing at the awkward intersection between queer, Christian and enjoying the furry fandom, this video really hit a personal note for me.
It's not religion to me it's a relationship with God. I was baptized Catholic at age 12 and hated it, that was religion, my relationship with God came later
@@jcrebel18 religion is organized, rule-bound, and restrictive, at least in my opinion. However, a relationship with God is fluid, caring, accepting, and helps me be a better person. Having it helps me be more accepting, and truly love and treat each other with respect, like all Christians should. We want to be intimate, and dig deep, both with God and others. Heck, God probably helped lead me to this fandom, and it's made me feel more at peace than I have in a long time. Christianity is about loving and accepting others, as God loves and accepts us. Being LGBT honestly isn't such a big deal. We should still all love and accept them. That's my duty, and what all christian's duty should be. Sorry for my rant lol. I can get long-winded on comments. ^^
Hund The Hound Aaaah! Hund! That’s something I can very much relate to! Was raised to be catholic...but then I went off on my own to discover what a relationship with God meant to me!
As someone who's borderline anti-theist (personal reasons), I was expecting this episode to be one big eye roll. But it wasn't, and that was pleasantly suprising. Beagle especially had a view on religion that I can respect.
Wow, I really appreciate this as a Catholic fur, and I'm so glad to see there are many other Christians in the fandom who are loving and affirming of others regardless of who they are, who they love, or where they come from, just as Christ was.
Im a Gay, agnostic furry/Scaly but I fully support and embrace my Christian Furry brothers and sisters. Love ya guys and keep doing you! Watching this made me happy to see you enjoy living your best life because that’s really what the fandom is about.
...can’t say I’m a fan of this episode. It felt a bit narrow and didn’t cover other religions; it doesn’t feel fair to call it an episode on religion but rather it’s just Christianity. It felt kinda... filtered? Casting it into too good a light. Which is understandable. But it also doesn’t feel very relatable. It is indeed a controversial topic. I don’t mean to be abrasive. I just feel this episode doesn’t fall in line with the others.
I don’t think this is abrasive, it’s definitely true. I’ve seen several comments on this video that are from people who are “proud Christians” talking about how hard religion in the fandom is (and I’m not discounting that) but what about other religions that aren’t so widely accepted and normalized? What about Islam and Judaism? And all of the others that aren’t so accepted.
Cinnmiel Not to mention the fact that religion has made life difficult for many in the fandom due to a sizable amount of it being LGBTQ. I don’t feel like the video addresses the topic appropriately, both from the negative side of things and from other religion’s perspectives.
I think that they all fall under more or less the same bracket. Christianity was just used as it's the most common. To take over 5 religions and throw them into one video and go over them in depth would take a crap ton of work and editing. It's probably to save time to make new videos faster, and with more topics.
@@Wresken As atheists and LGBTQs creating this project we knew this would come up while making it. Unfortunately we live in a culture where the people we did want to show with other beliefs, didn't want to talk about it on camera. I hope our Kickstarter gets funded because we need those resources to meet with furs who do feel comfortable talking about other belief systems in public.
@@Wresken This I relate to this way to much....like it's funny to me how people can be LGBTQ and ignore the past as well "just the past" No our culture changed as a society not the religion ...WE as people are responsible for what we do onto others.....religion has always allowed for "justification" for otherwise horrible acts.
I am very glad you made this video. As a new furry, I am constantly worrying that I am contradicting my own religion. Now I see that it’s quite the opposite. Everyone be proud of who you are. And remember: just because we’re furries doesn’t mean we can be people who love God
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for covering this! Im a very proud Christian and furry! I see both as giving and spreading more love and joy towards one another if anything. Love one another like we would ourselves. God loves each one of us and each are beautifully and wonderfully made. I've seen and felt the backlash of both in a negative light, but its up to us to change that! This does this greatly! Thank you again for covering this and God bless! Lots of love! ❤❤❤❤❤
NGL being a gay furry christian did make me feel like a bit of an unaccepted outcast. But I know that I am still loved and accepted and I'm not the only one. Anybody who doesn't feel loved, whatever your religion, race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and personality, just remember I love you!
As a christen myself self my youth director put it in these terms " God and Christens love sinners as people but do not love the sinful actions the do" I hope this gives some clarification to some people out there.
So, i haven't been in this fandom for long... only about a month. I'm a young fur too, the fandom has showed me a lot about myself that i cant express in a comment. I only have a dino mask, and right now i am trying to do as much research as i can to look more into the fandom. .. But this, this is amazing and it has shown me so much already! Keep up the good work Ash!!!
Wow. This is amazing. This was well said, well covered, and I honestly didn't know how to address religion in the Furry fandom, but you definitely nailed it! What an amazing series so far!
Being a Christian in the furry fandom is very hard. You are constantly fighting aginst people that have a idea on their heads of biggotry. But I also feel that I have more compassion for others and I have life long freinds from the lgbti side who genuinely understand what my faith meens to me and have stood up for me. Furry needs to able to calibrate the Christian side of the fandom as a part of the group as a whole and not have it hidden away in the corner.
I feel that Christian furries should work towards setting an example in the fandom, there are better examples of this than me like the youtuber Rood Hyena with a giant cross on her fursuit
Even though religion isn't all that important to me, I discovered Christain Furs way back when I first discovered the fandom. They are like anyone of faith, you have your good and bad. You just have to accept the way people are.
Episode should be called "Christian furs" since that's the only religion discussed. Also not a discussion of the merits or drawbacks of religion itself, just, again, views of some Christian furs.
@@fungalfox oh I completely agree what I was trying to say is she was first making it about Christianity. And I'm not sure why the name of the video was changed to religion. If it was changed to religion then yes, more should have been mentioned
I just got into the furry fandom and I can already tell that religion is a very touchy topic and it shouldn’t be brought up as often as most people do. The furry fandom is not about religion, it’s about a group of people who appreciate animals in the media. It’s a group where we all accept each other’s fursonas, personalities, and our differences. I love the furry fandom because it is an open-arms community that’s very welcoming and that makes me proud to be a furry.
wow... i can imagine the whole scenario The Lion / The Lamb / The Dove (Represent God) The Pastor will be a shepherdog to sheepherd the lost sheep How cutie the whole process is and than from the The Dragon / The Serpent / The Goat / The Wolf (Represent the Evil human with lost humanity spirit)
I really wish that more than Christianity was covered in this episode. Don't get me wrong Christianity is interesting in the furry sense but to ignore the others within it is a little disappointing when it's titled "religion" and not just Christianity.
We hope to do that with the Kickstarter. Many furs with a minority religion are taking a big risk going on camera and we need to travel the furs willing to discuss those issues!
@@ChipFox Thank you so much for the reply Chip! I'm glad to hear that :) being a pagan and furry myself I really hope to hear some perspectives from others like myself. Animals are so important in many pagan religions that it creates an interesting perspective and feelings towards furry. I also hope to hear from other minorités and their stories too of course!
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. [I Corinthians 6:9-11 NKJV]
@@Stigma-ba115 Yes, the Bible does say that, but he still loves everyone and it pains him to see us sinning. Just because someone's a sinner doesn't mean he loves them any less. Ofc I'm not saying there won't be consequences, just saying that he still loves sinners
Thank you sooooo much for talking about this lol I always felt so awkward being a christian in the fandom and it helps a lot to have some closure on that, so thanks a lot! ^w^
PLZ do more youtube videos on this!!! and not the hateful type of them this was great it's a small breakthrough!!! people need to see the loving types not the Westboro Baptist types that give us a bad name... ty so much!! ♥ the day we as a fandom can talk about different views and beliefs without hate is the day that positive shift and breakthrough can begin.
That moment when Christians are treated like gay people in the furry fandom. Kind of repulsed, ignored at best, mocked at worst. Shouldn't we all love each other for our differences as well as our similarities? I still love athiests, and treat them like people. One of them is a good friend.
I'm really glad there are Christians that exist in the fandom who are loving and caring people and not hateful and judgmental like the many mainstream others
Well done on this segment, which is very difficult to discuss in the fandom or in the gay community as well. Hund hit it right to the point, being Christian is not just a religion, but a relationship. I'm Catholic and Furry, and I'm still a practicing Catholic, and LGBT and Furry. But, I don't judge - I love all my friends who are Christian, Jewish, Hindu or Atheist. They all matter to me as I listen to them with respect and I love them equally
Oh! Another episode! How exiting! I have no idea how you make these amazing documenterys in such a minute amount of time, But I love it! keep up the good work! (Or not, feel free to take a break!)
I'm an aithiest but I appreciate this, because it shows a part of the fandom that is not really talked about. The fact that being religious and expressing it through the fandom can get people ridiculed and push away is pretty sad because, as someone who has been bullied and ridiculed by people who are religious, I know that not everyone is like that and I dont judge people based on religion, race, sexuality, gender, or other things that are a part of people's lives, because they dont cause any damage. I judge based on whether or not they are kind and overall a good person, and religion has nothing to do with that.
I'm a Christian furry, and I'm bisexual :) but I hate when Christians try to show religion down pops throats and force them. That isn't a real Christian if you do that. The Bible says to share his word, not force it
Ppls* throats. Also I completely agree with hunt saying "to me being a Christian isn't a religion" I agree. Its a relationship, when I think of a religion I think k more of a cult
I love this soo much that you made a video on this! It makes me so happy to see Christian furrs being represented in love how they are meant to be. I have felt the hate towards Christianity in the fandom many times, and it really brings me down. But seeing other Christian furries and all the love to them and from them, it makes me soo happyyyy
Man all my time in the fandom I thought I was the only Christian lol. This makes me really happy that I'm not the only one. Ash your awesome may God bless you. :)
I absolutely loved this video! I am a Born Again Christian and a straight furry. I highly agree with what they said. Thank you so much Ash for this video. Hi from Saskatchewan, Canada!
I really appreciate that you touched upon this topic in your documentary. The fandom needs to see that christian furries aren't here to judge them. They're here to spread God's unconditional love. God sends his people to where they're needed.
Being a Christian in the fandom is certainly a hard thing to do, co soldering the fact that the fandom is so heavily impacted by today’s society and beliefs. I joined the fandom for my love of animals, art, and a chance to spread my faith. Don’t feel discriminated because your a Christian. Instead share that faith with others, although it may be hard.
I’m an atheist furry but I respect you for talking about religion in the furry fandom, I guess religious furries are more open minded- especially when it comes to LGBT+, and I respect that If I’m honest I’m mainly atheist because I not only do not believe in god- but I hate the disrespect and hate they give to members of the lgbt+ community simply because a book told them to act that way, I’m glad religious furries respect us- thanks guys
If saying homosexual relationships is sinful is being disrespectful, then fine. The bible tells us to not judge those of the world, (non-believers) because obviously we can't use the bible to convince them as they don't believe in it, but sin is still sin. So if you want to live the way you want that is totally fine. But don't try to force us to accept and celebrate things that go against our beliefs
I always just get a laugh when I get the wildest commissions and then I check the profile and I see a big 'ol crucifix in there. Sky daddy will be scratching his beard over the art they asked for, I'm sure.
This isn't something I see too often, but it needs to be talked about! My religion falls under paganism and it's what I was raised by. I am very proud of it and defend it kinda fiercely, however I am willing to learn about other religions and especially Christianity! I want others to learn about paganism as well, because we have a lot to share ourselves!
Okay, listen, all of you haters who are bashing the Christian religion. *Not all of us are buttholes who think they’re better than everyone else* Yes, there are gonna be the few of us who are so bad, but most of us are very kind people. I am a Christian and respect all of the LGBTQ+ people. God says to love everyone, no matter what. He doesn’t say “only love the straights” or “hate the gays”. He says to love everyone. And I try to. Now, another common question I’m seeing on here is ‘Why do you believe in God?”. I believe in God because there is scientific evidence. People say “science disproves God”, but no, it doesn’t. Now, don’t argue with me, I’m not here to argue, just to try to help you understand, so please don’t yell at me in the replies. I will continue to love and cherish all of you, no matter if you’re LGBTQ+ or not. I believe that when you spread love and compassion, it’ll always come back to you someday. Please please please be nice to the other Christians in the comments, as just as the furry community is a safe spot for LGBTQ+ people, I think it should be a safe space for religion as well. It’s not up to me what you do, but I hope you remember that we’re not *just* Christians, we are people too. Please, feel free to ask me anything in the replies, but please everyone, be kind to us, as you would be to anyone else. Edit: I’m seeing a lot of people now that I’m scrolling, talking about feeling confined and alone in the fandom because of being Christian, or becoming a furry because of it. I personally am both of these. Reason: Growing up in a Christian family, I was taught about how God made every animal individually, and specially particularly for where they live. He made it where animals could adapt, and that’s the beauty of it. You may not believe in God, but you must admit, nature is very beautiful and amazing. I hope you all go to heaven, because I believe you are more than likely a great person. Please spread a lil kindness every day, and, even if you’re atheist or other, please help defend us. We are important as people too, just as much as you. We were all created equal, and stay that way. Oh, I got off topic... anyways, confinement: people tend to immediately shun you when you reveal you’re Christian. They act like you’re less of a person because of a bad stereotype. Think, there is the furry stereotype, and the Christian stereotype, which both have a large number of exceptions. We’re not all bad, but we’re treated this way. Please try to be kind to Christians, even through the stereotypes.
I'm happy to be born of a Christian family. when I discover the Furry Fandom in High school because I was born on the Autism Spectrum and I sometimes wonder what happened if I became a furry and what if God and family is upset of me becoming a furry or being Bisexual? after I told my Girlfriend she wasn't mad and she understood what I'm going through and stood out for me. after confront my mom that I now a furry it made her upset like she judge me and I don't know why. I don't judge people because that's not who I am and after watching videos about the furry Fandom and being in lgtbq and special needs communities I was always thinking don't think what people say or think about you because if it's your decision than it's who you are. the lesson I think about what the sees is let you be you and be happy for who you really are.
I wish I could thumbs this up like a million times. I'm not really a christian but I was raised that way and in my youth I hated on them and degraded them, even in the fandom. I feel ashamed now. Furry is deeply spiritual, and I wish more people would understand that. It's not all about popularity, money, parties, sex and drugs for many of us...
I personally felt torn away from coming into the fandom due to this. Im a Christian, and also i have friends that discourage me from having a fursona. Of course im gonna have my fursona anyways but anyways As a Christian, I may not necessarily stand for what LGBT believes in, but that doesnt mean im gonna sit there and be ugly and awful to a gay person or whatever. If youre a Christian, youre suppose to have love in your heart towards others, even your enemies. If you ever meet a judgy Christian thats very rude...they arent a real Christian and they havent found God yet
I think that you can believe what you want, you can have your own opinions and views, just so long as you don't attack anyone and treat all with equal respect and kindness
Same! I was raised in a Christian family. Almost 2-3 months ago I joined the fandom. I was lingering around joining for a long time, interested in what furries were doing. One day, before I was a furry, finally decided to binge watch furry videos and other sources of media. I did research and discovered that the fandom was a perfect place for me. Everyone was nice, accepting, and caring. And we all shared a common interest in anthropomorphic animals, I guess. I was raised in a Christian family. Almost a month and a half ago I joined the fandom. I was lingering around joining for a long time, interested in what furries were doing. One day, before I was a furry, finally decided to binge watch furry videos and other sources of media. I did research and discovered that the fandom was a perfect place for me. Christian furries are so rare but it's worse when you're in a faith that's small compared to other faiths lol It feels so isolating. I've only met one other furry who shares my faith.
Religion isn't too big of a topic in the fandom. I'm glad you're covering it!!
Yes, I agree. Up till now, I didn't even know if there were christian furries.
@@everythinggirly916 I meet some furries are actually christians I'm not religious but I keep my faith out of the fandom due to mockery and some petty bullshit in the fandom

Why do you believe in god, I seriously do not mean to offend, I wasn’t raised in a religious family so it doesn’t come naturally to me, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to
yes so much this!
Actually I'm not religious so even though I defended a Christian from be mocked from some asshole and I reported this guy and the admin gave me a trouble ticket just for defending a someone's faith especially a Christian I said to my self "wtf wrong with this!"
Spread God's love in the community ❤️ He will send you to where you're needed
*story time*
I have always been a Christian, my dad has been the pastor of the churches I’ve gone to for 90% of my life.
~years later~
Discovers furries from something (not in appropriate though). I do more readers here and get mixed reviews about them being completely inappropriate and not being inappropriate? I get confused and decide to leave it for a different day.
~more years later~
Re-discovers furries ‘for the first time’ again. I do my own research and find out they aren’t bad. I tell my parents. They are very strict about Christianity and stuff. However, they are completely fine with me being a part of the fandom, as long as I “don’t go onto any websites about furries unless a parent approves it!”
So yeah, I’m the end, I am a part of this fandom because of being a Christian!
:D I can relate
God will always have a good place inside of my heart
@Ghost In The Shell's The Laughing Man ~I’m not sure if I’d be super into it (just cause the war part) but I’d definitely try it! My brother would absolutely love it though! Sounds fun!
Technically, God created us in his image, and part of that would be creativity, so we kinda follow in his footsteps without even realizing it... Many of us create our furrsonas in our image...
Purple Cat, That's such a wonderful story

I’m definitely a little sad but there’s hope here amidst all the pain and suffering.
God made us human not animal
Me too! I felt very alone in the beginning. I'm glad this was made so I wont feel alone anymore!

Hey, how does it feel like to be a Christian furry? I am a Christian and used to be a furry, and I wanna spread the gospel in the fandom too :)

I love your name, " The Philosofur".
I hope you get your channel up and running so e day.
I love these but I wish you covered other faiths than Christianity
I have nothing against them and in fact respect them a lot but I think there are a lot of faiths in our fandom :0
I mean I don't expect them all being covered but I personally feel as if "religion" in the fandom only has the christian connotation
But overall still Loving these so far :0
True, would've loved to see some pagan furs. It's a growing thing in the fandom!
Well put. I definitely hope to revisit this topic in a future season, because there is so much more ground to cover.

OMG thank god for this video! I am a proud Christian, but had been worried I would shame my religion because of being a furry, especially because there are some kinky parts of the fandom and a lot of LGTBQ+ people. I’m so glad that I can still be in the fandom and still honor my religion ❤️
What are your views on LGBTQ+?
yeah, glad you took on a topic that rarely gets talked about within the fandom. :)
All in all, I would like to say to the fandom as a whole 2 things:
Im loving this series! Your awesome Ash!
I'm glad to see this, as a Christian furry, espetully a Yung one you just feel so, alone. I'm glad to see we're not alone.
Didn't really cover cover religion as a general subject so much as look at Christianity within the furry community, you should really expand on this.
Christopher Godby we are in agreement
Omg, guys, I'm a Christian furry, and this gave me the most hope in myself fitting in than I've ever felt! Thank you so much!

Honestly as a Catholic convert I'm really glad for this kind of coverage. I always try to judge an individual person on their actions, not the actions of others in a group they affiliate with. I hope this encourages others to be open-minded about different kinds of furries that might not be the majority in the fandom
I had no idea Hund and Beagle were Christians! That's so coool!
Glad someone’s finally acknowledging religion inside the furry fandom. This is a topic I’ve often wondered about myself.

A relationship with God isn't a religion, in fact his word teaches us that we stay away from religion in general. :)

As someone who is standing at the awkward intersection between queer, Christian and enjoying the furry fandom, this video really hit a personal note for me.
I didn't know Hund was religious at all, so that was interesting to hear him talk about it.
It's not religion to me it's a relationship with God. I was baptized Catholic at age 12 and hated it, that was religion, my relationship with God came later
@@HundTheHound oh, that's interesting.

Wow, I really appreciate this as a Catholic fur, and I'm so glad to see there are many other Christians in the fandom who are loving and affirming of others regardless of who they are, who they love, or where they come from, just as Christ was.

...can’t say I’m a fan of this episode.
Amazing video! I really hope it becomes a documentary. You guys approached it so well!
Just need quick answer, do Christian furries welcomed or at least tolerated in this fandom? Either yes or no, nothing in between

Even though religion isn't all that important to me, I discovered Christain Furs way back when I first discovered the fandom. They are like anyone of faith, you have your good and bad. You just have to accept the way people are.

As a christian in the fandom I can say that God does love everyone no matter who they are
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
I was afraid of how this topic would be covered, but I'm glad you covered it in a very great way. 😊❤
Its a relationship, when I think of a religion I think k more of a cult
this!!!!!! i'm also a christian furry and i'm lesbian and ace :3
Thanks, I’m muslim and I’m a furry. God loves everyone. Be a good person do the things that you can about your religion. That’s it.
I found this when I was a new furry and looking for other Christan furs. Thank you so much for this.
Proud Christian furry here,❤📿🛐 I actually run a Christian furry group on facebook....it's furry bible study.

Honestly I didn't know if you could be a furry and a Christian at the same time but this video relieves me
I’m an atheist furry but I respect you for talking about religion in the furry fandom, I guess religious furries are more open minded- especially when it comes to LGBT+, and I respect that
If I’m honest I’m mainly atheist because I not only do not believe in god- but I hate the disrespect and hate they give to members of the lgbt+ community simply because a book told them to act that way, I’m glad religious furries respect us- thanks guys
I am a Christian I was be excited to see this! I’m a Christian furry!
I love god cause he loves everyone including furries
me too
:D
*Not all of us are buttholes who think they’re better than everyone else*
Yes, there are gonna be the few of us who are so bad, but most of us are very kind people.
God wants us all to love others no matter who you are. It Is not our job to Judge others. Only God can.
I have been rejected as a Christian in the Fandom!! A lot!! Tou of the sun rejected me I called him a friend once..God bless him..
God is a mental illness
This video makes me feel so much better for being a Christian in the the fandom
It's good to see God shining light in the fandom and to me that makes me happy as a furry and reborn Christian

As a Christian furry, sometimes it feels difficult, sometimes it feels not difficult at all
I'm happy to be born of a Christian family. when I discover the Furry Fandom in High school because I was born on the Autism Spectrum and I sometimes wonder what happened if I became a furry and what if God and family is upset of me becoming a furry or being Bisexual? after I told my Girlfriend she wasn't mad and she understood what I'm going through and stood out for me. after confront my mom that I now a furry it made her upset like she judge me and I don't know why.
If God isn't a furry, then why did He make all those animals?
The rabbit hole that is Furry Christian fandom is immense
I personally felt torn away from coming into the fandom due to this. Im a Christian, and also i have friends that discourage me from having a fursona. Of course im gonna have my fursona anyways but anyways
As a Christian, I may not necessarily stand for what LGBT believes in, but that doesnt mean im gonna sit there and be ugly and awful to a gay person or whatever. If youre a Christian, youre suppose to have love in your heart towards others, even your enemies. If you ever meet a judgy Christian thats very rude...they arent a real Christian and they havent found God yet
@@lastswordfighter r u being sarcastic rn??
These are the most nicest and respectful comments about furries ever found 🥺💗
I love waching every episode of this that comes out!
I personally don’t care what religion you are. I start having an issue when people start becoming hateful.
Yeah, I love everyone, but I can get ticked off if they start being toxic.
I think that you can believe what you want, you can have your own opinions and views, just so long as you don't attack anyone and treat all with equal respect and kindness
I myself am a Christian and a Straight Ally!!
I won't judge ya and I see nothing wrong with the furry fandom (◠‿・)-☆
I discovered some Christian furs online, I came across many profiles that claimed to be Christian furs. Yeah, I understood that was rare. I did know that most of the fandom is LGBT+ ... but I didn't care, I support them and accept them. We are all on this Earth together, so we might as well get along ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
I'm not one of those "Jesus freaks" (some of us name ourselves that) that try to agressivly convert people and hate the LGBT+. One of the biggest things about being Christian is treating other people as you want to be treated (in other words, treat people with kindness). I knew that were largely discriminated (especially online), and I was ready for it. Sometimes it's hard and you receive backlash, but hey, everyone receives backlash in their lifetime.
To sum it all up, I love you all and accept you. No matter what you identify as, no matter what religion you have, if your not religious, etc.
I hope you have a good day (if it's night time for you, I hope you get a good sleep, I guess)

Christian furries are so rare but it's worse when you're in a faith that's small compared to other faiths lol It feels so isolating. I've only met one other furry who shares my faith.
