Thank you Sir!! After 20 min of contemplating my existence I was lucky enough to find your video. I was a real man again in seconds lol 🙏🏻👊🏻
"Contemplating my existence"...oh, how I can relate!
Your directions worked! For someone over 60 I thought this was impossible. But with your directions I got my keypad code changed!
This instructions in this video worked for me ... but the instructions on the inside lid of the keypad did NOT work for me. Glad I found this! Thanks!!!!!!
Same!
We moved into a new place and previous owners did not leave us a code. Tried your directions and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
You're the best step-by-step guy I've on youtube leaning. Thank you, sir.
Got it thanks! It was pushing Learn twice, then code, then hold down Enter. Whew. Thanks!
Thanks so much! Your instructions were the only ones correct and clear after wasting time watching other videos that did not work. Thank you, thank you!
Awesome! Thank You! I watched a dozen other videos that were incorrect and over complicated. Only yours worked. Best Wishes my friend!
After viewing your 2:34 minute video, it took me less than 1 minute to accomplish the task.👍🏾……thank you!
Very easy to follow video. Worked like a charm! Thank you!
Clear instructions and easy to follow. And NO LADDER involved which is great for us geezers. Thanks a ton!
Thank you so much, I kept trying to set it up from the motor because of other tutorials on TH-cam. Having it set from the door opener by the garage door made it so much easier thanks to you!
Hi Sean, Thanks for watching and the feedback! I am glad this video was helpful and made changing the pin code easier!
Thank you for giving a simple, clear solution.
This is the only video I found that actually answered my question
This was so incredibly helpful! I somehow undid the previous owners code thinking I could change it to my preference. I kept trying to reset it from the lift itself and that did not work clearly. The solution was a lot simpler than I could have imagined and was able to do it in -26 Celsius
Thank you for such clear easy instructions
Great contribution to society 😀. Thank you!
Thank you Todd. I just changed the code on my Liftmaster Keyless Entry due to worn key pads.
Thanks for watching! I am glad the video helped!
Worked as you advertised! Thank you.
After 5 different videos, this was the one that worked!!!
ty - just perfect. looked thru so much online - but this one helped and fixed it.
Looks easy, will try it in a few minutes. Thanks!

Thanks for watching!
Thanks A Billion! I no longer have to steal my moms Garage door clip when I ride my bike!
Great!!!! Works😁
I changed the code but the old code works too. How do i fix that??
Thanks this video made this so simple it took me three years to get the courage to figure out how to do it 😂
I went with the ladder to the top looking for the learn button, couldn't find it, what an idiot, thank you so much for this video
😅😅so easier and verry clearly
installed a chamberlain 940ev wireless opener it works fine with the 4 digit code to open the door however just using the enter button to close the door does not work the unit is a craftsman opener thanks for any help
Great
Todd, I have a chamberlain, same key pad exactly. All of my buttons work. I replaced the battery. It was dead. Now when trying to program it as the old number did not work, I push the learn button on my motor assy housing, push in a new code and hold the enter key down, waiting for my lights to flash, but nothing happens. I did not check the enter button to see if the key pad light up, but I will do that now, but assuming all buttons work, what can I do to get it going. I cannot afford a new key pad right now. I know they are just $30, but I have been out of work for 4 years. Just trying to get this working. I was a copier tech for 14 years, so even if I need to work on the keypad, I can do it. Thanks for any help you can give me.
As far as I can see, my LiftMaster opener doesn’t have a learn button. There is a display with a menu, but no learn option. Looks totally different from yours
Same with mine. I have the elite series and can't find one for it.
Hey Todd. Garage door keypad in my house is not accepting the pin code. I am certain that I am entering the correct code, and I followed your awesome instructions (so clear and helpful) about how to check the battery and keypad. I replaced the battery even though the old one was working well and there seems like all buttons are working fine on the keypad. My garage is detached so I can't access it from inside the house. Any suggestions what I should do?
I seem to have a different wall control as there doesn’t seem to be a cover that lifts up?
Do I need to do anything with remotes or will they still work?
Will I be able to use my remote opener?
Great. Now I have 2 codes to open my garage. The old one and the new one.
Me too
@connerdavis3333 i removed all codes by pushing and holding the learn button on the opener ( for about 6 seconds) until the indicator light next to it turns off. Then I put the new code in the key pad . That worked. Of course I had to re sync all the garage door remotes as well.
Do I need to press the learn or lock button after I set my new code?
What do you try if that does not work. The keypad is from 2005 but I have replaced the main unit witha new Liftmaster. The remotes work fine but the keypad just flashes no matter what I try. The 9v battery is good and it worked long ago so could it be wired?
And No if you have the exact system shown it will NOT change the remote, only the keypad. This is literally a 20 second job. Thanks for this video
Thank you Todd!! Saved us money
Hi! My old code still works. Can you please show us how to delete old codes?
if i accidently paired with neighbour's garage remote control while I was changing the passcode on my garage keypad, right now my.neighbour can open garage.door, what.should i do?
I have added the new code, but how do I get it to stop using a previous code? I haven’t been able to get it to not respond to the previous code
Thank you very much. They made it so hard in other videos that if I couldn’t believe what you did. 😂
Does anyone know if it'll reset or "unlearn" other remotes?
Will this remove old codes?
Hi there,
When I enter the new code and hit enter nothing happens? Maybe I need a new keypad.
Possible to add more than 1 code?
My door is closed and I have lost my garage door opener. I just replaced the batteries in my keypad and now the code doesn't work. I am stuck! Any advice?
What if the key pad is to a swing gate, and there is no learn button or light to blink. ?
Two nights ago tried to use the keypad and didn't open just blinking, tried using the remote and also weren't responding. Switched out batteries on the keypad . Eventually go in the house with a key. Reprogrammed the keypad and the remotes. Ensured multiple times they were programmed and working properly. Last night at 3am a family member tried using the keypad and went back not working and only was blinking. I went outside myself at that time and both keypad and remotes stopped working. I have the My Q app which allowed me to open and close no problem. However the keypad and remotes stopped working. Anyone have any idea or trouble shooting I can figure out? Thanks
Anyone that still has any questions is a bozo, thank you for a very clear easy to follow video
Where can I find written instructions?
My LiftMaster said program, and then, when you look at the screen, it says to press program again, and than set new code
It works but the old pin code still working too
My Lift Master keypad doesn't have an enter key. Just star and pound key. How do I proceed from here, if anyone can help?
Just bought a replacement thinking what was the problem but it still doesn’t work with the new one. It’s not detecting the key pad.
Maybe my motor is defective 🤷♂️ 😭
It’s not working for me! Opener works but I can’t get keypad to work. I accidentally hit the # button and locked myself out of the code. I do t know how to reset it
problem is when you program the keypad it erases the code in the car remotes
"1,2,3,4"? I have the same code for my luggage!!!
My light just blinks twice when I try and shut 😢 i have walked through your steps ten times 😢😢
unfortunately, it stopped working and now the motor unit does not blink or confirm code.
How do you delete the old code?
Hi and thanks for watching! I have a video in my Liftmaster Garage Door playlist that explains how to erase codes. Thanks again for watching!
So how do you get rid of the 1234 code? Starting to feel stupid.
Pressing "Enter" by itself will close the garage. Don't get fooled by that feature.
