- Pokemon Worlds 2024 has just ended and with it came new Pokemon announcements, While many people were hoping for a new trailer and news on Pokemon Legends Z-A there was nothing. But the lack of this may have just had The Pokemon Company confirm the impossible. Get all the details here!

I wasn’t expecting a trailer at worlds I’m expecting 1 in sept ether in Nintendo direct or a week before or after in a Pokémon presents, it could also have a Pokémon presents in October because it’s we could get the last trailer for pocket. This game is coming out in may-July 2025.
What I’m not happy about is that mobile games have replaced console only spinoff games like we could of had a new installment of PMD, colosseum, conquest, rangers or a totally new spinoff game this year but all we get is a mobile game.

This is a good thing, we don’t want to emulate the CoD or FiFFa series that hard. They release yearly with barely enough time to development any meaningful content that would justify a new game. These games that goes this might as well just call the updates DLC and charge you a cheaper price.

For the people who are disappointed. We ourselves are the ones who got angry at game freaks for the terrible quality of pokemon games, we are the ones who said they should take more time to make the games. And that gaming freak that is actually doing that is only a good thing. Combine that with the fact that game freak is hiring a lot of new employees and that ILCA has created a studio called pokemon works is amazing sign.
Side note There are platinum Locations in the Code of BDSP. So either they didn't have enough time to make the game or game freak chose to make Faithful remakes. It's 100% game freak's fault that BDSP was the way it was
Not to mention nothing was ever said, AFAIK, about any Z-A news being released.
Literally this, I am so surprised got some fans are genuinely angry or upset that they are taking more time to release games even though I'll bet they were also complaining that the quality of those games sucked.

Yeah, Pokemon is too strong of a drug for too many fans. Glad they have ILCA now, but they probably need more studios to help sustain the franchise. They should receive some of their old console spin-offs that other studios would make to help satiate the rabid fans while they take their time on the mainline entries

Z-A really needs to show that they can make a good, fully polished game. If they have all this extra time and they just make Scarlet and Violet again. That would just be sad. Because it shows they probably legitimately lack the in studio talent and the fact that the game will sell well no matter what they do

again we consumers, gamers ect see a snippet or footage for an upcoming game automatically sets a standard. expectation if you will..
and if the game doesn't live up to this standard, you feel either betrayed or angry maybe both, and return the game due to the unsatisfying truth.

I know, the $60 tech demos we got with Scarlet and Violet has gotten me very excited for the future of Pokemon. 🤣 Seriously though, the extra development time does get me really hopeful too.

Them not showing anything related to Z-A confirms a theory that I've had with Pokemon for a while now: Game Freak operates like a monkey's paw. That is to say, they DO listen, they DO give us what we want... but there's a catch to it. Remember when people clamored for Diamond and Pearl remakes? Or for a Third party to make a Pokemon game so Game Freak could cook something up? How about Dunsparce getting an evolution? Or an open world Pokemon game? Like it or not, these are all things that have happened, but they were done with a catch or consequences that came about due to the formula. The long-awaited Sinnoh remake happened, and a third party did primarily work on it... but it was "faithful" to the original games, the third party didn't actually make a real game before this. Dunsparce has an evolution now, but it is lackluster and nothing like how fans envisioned it. Scarlet and Violet is an open world game, but it is poorly optimized, buggy, and has poor level scaling.
Which leads me to Pokemon Legends Z-A. Some members, not all, but some, have spent the last few years demanding that Pokemon skip a year to make an optimized, polished game. Six months ago, we received information that the next game would come out next year, not this year. But ever since then, radio silence, and we expected that worlds would be the time that Game Freak would break that silence. No such luck.
But this is a natural occurrence for games that the developers spend time on. To not reveal anything until they're ready. The problem is, Pokemon fans want the luxury of a polished game, but they also want to be kept up-to-date. They want Game Freak to cook, but they also want in the kitchen. They want the best of both worlds. But historically, ever since Sword and Shield, we have never had that and we most likely never will. Contrary to what some believe, Game Freak does listen: they just operate on a system of consequences.
Which leads me to think of what else we have wished for and their unforseen consequences that may occur. We wanted Megas to return, what's to say that only the ones that we had before return? We want Mega Flygon, who is to say it'll be amazing like how fan artists make it out to be?
I believe it's time to stop asking of things from Pokemon and to hold our expectations in check. We have been rubbing the lamp, wishing and being disappointed with the results for almost five years now that the only way this ends is when we stop the cycle ourselves and go with the flow. This is not to say we shouldn't be disappointed when we're given something that should be a better standard or when we have logical expectations that we would see news at a logical time. But we really need to stop making demands of a company that operates under the same rules as a monkey's paw, because we will get what we want and every consequence that goes with it. Phenomenal cosmic power... itty-bitty living space.
I do hope that the game is good and that everyone who demanded a delayed release is happy with the game and buys it, because you DID ask for this and everything that goes with it. What that entails, only time will tell.

I disagree that we should not be having expectations. Yes we know how game freak works, and we know things turn out bad when we want things. But that doesn't matter, because we should still get angry and effect their bottom line.
A good company can do both. And the pokemon company have basically bottomless pockets when it comes to funding a game. We expect better and we should continue to expect better because that's what we as fans deserve.
If they fail, we shouldn't turn this around on ourselves and be like "oh well we shouldn't have expected anything from you guys" sorry but that's just not right! ❌️. They have no excuses to disappoint on the things they have done. They made good games with ORAS (although too easy) and HGSS, they had no excuse for the outcome of BDSP.
You should not blame the fans for their failures. I know you didn't say that. But I mean this for the future. We deserve better so why shouldn't we expect that? Because we are being nice to TPC? By being understanding and sympathetic to Game Freak? I shall not be, their actions make no sense to want to try being understanding with them.
The Problem I see with what you're saying is that it's not Just the Fan's Fault here - it's EVERYBODY'S FAULT.
It's Partly because different Fans each want different things from The Pokémon Company, often with Contradicting elements.
It's Partly because after Every Release, some fans and most Trolls will heavily criticise Everything The Pokémon Company did leading up to it, and everything about the Product itself.
It's Partly because Anyone creating Content, despite whether they genuinely love the Franchise or just try to take advantage of its Popularity, end up putting extra pressure on Game Freak to appeal to almost Impossible Standards...
But it's also Partly because Game Freak have been getting Lazy with their Productions, possibly even Spiteful in how they've been doing these 'Monkey Paw' grantings of Fans' long-time Requests.
It's Partly because The Pokémon Company has been constantly changing how they handle the Promotion and Marketing of their Products every Year - I'll admit this is likely because of the aforementioned Criticism and Backlash they keep receiving, but they'll also listen to obvious Trolls and Troublemakers when adjusting their actions, so there's never any Stability at Any Time...
And it's Partly because the Current State of Mentality in the world right now: Games Developers have been Refusing to allow Non-Official Promotion of games, even for Free, actively Attacking TH-cam Channels showing Footage from their games - Nintendo's done this longer than most, so that's no surprise;
But Developers have also been making a habit of not Promoting a Game themselves, preferring 'Radio Silence' after their initial Announcements without revealing anything about the Games until it's too Late to pull Pre-Orders - it's usually done to hide a Horrible Game so it'll still make a Profit off of unwarranted Faith, and it's what Fans are worried will be happening with Pokémon Legends Z-A; with The Pokémon Company having recently being seen making dangerously poor decisions, like Condoning the Mutilation of Pokémon GO at the hands of DEI Consultancy Groups, their Reputation is at an all-time Low - and it'd be in their Character to take this kind of Path out of Spite towards their Customers who criticise everything they do; Today's Corporations will do things that are Intentionally going to lose them Money and Customers just to satisfy their own Agendas, and sections of Nintendo have been starting to show symptoms of this Corruption...
Players are justifiably Concerned that Pokémon, and Nintendo as a whole, will collapse into the same Abyss that Sony and Microsoft have, absorbed and Assimilated into the Cancerous Mass that's been destroying every other game it comes into contact with. Japan is no longer Safe, and with the entirety of Western Media Infested, the Corruption is trying to Appropriate Eastern Cultures as well. They don't care how much Money they lose, as when they have Monopoly over all Global Media, Humanity will have no choice but to Buy everything they're willing to provide!
Nintendo is in a position to Fight Back, but I and Others doubt they'll even Try...

i've been very keen on my opinion that legends ZA won't be released till the end of next year(which most people disagreed). so having this information now that we aren't getting any new game news, it proves my other belief that the nintendo switch 2 will not be released till at least the end of 2026
Switch 2 will likely come out before Legends ZA. It also wouldn't be the first time they release a new game for an older system. We got black 2 and white 2 on DS when 3DS had already been out for months.

I also disagree it will be out in may-July 2025 most likely getting a trailer in sept in the Nintendo direct or a Pokémon presents a week before or after the direct or have a Pokémon presents in Oct given pocket it’s last trailer before it is out. The switch 2 who knows when it will be announced or released just know they will announce it anytime from now to march 2025 as for coming out I could see sept-nov 2025.
Note: Riddler Khu as of recent proved his legitimacy again with hinting at their being no news at worlds, but he has been straight forward and confirmed that promotion for ZA will start this year. So maybe October or November or December we could get a teaser trailer
I wonder why they even revealed Legends ZA on Pokémon Day 2024 if it doesn't even come out until mid to late 2025. Why not just save it for Pokémon Day 2025?

it doesn't confirm its not close to completion. It confirms the switch 2 isn't close to being revealed. Its going to be a launch title. We all know it.
“No news is good news.” A quote that is especially relevant to this series. I would rather not have an announcement for the Legends game than get an announcement for a game that might not be anywhere near finished. I remember thinking the Legends Arceus looked like a unique take on the series, but the problem is that is was rushed due to them releasing Scarlet and Violet in the same year, and both games look the worse for it. I’m hoping the reaction to Scarlet and Violet and the brief explosion of Palworld for a few weeks made them think twice about releasing this game before it’s done cooking. I would rather not get any news on this game until Pokemon Day 2025 at the earliest, if not later in the year.

My suspicion is that Legends Z-A will be a launch title for the Switch 2 which is why we haven't heard anything further about it.

To be honest, I’ve been thinking the same thing. I keep thinking they might release it in summer. We could of course be wrong, but honestly I think I would love a summer release for once. My birthday is early summer.

Why talking about pokemon Z-A at The beginning of 2024 of the Game release is for fall 2025. Two points : keep calm Investissors by taking time , with the bad end quality of Scarlet and Violet the reputation of Pokemon is touched and in the future the sell can clearly decline. Another thing is simply, i think Game Freak really want to do good games or stop making unapprecied games. I mean gen 5 was excellent games , X and Y was good games , Sun and Moon have some problemes but they was more detailled than X/Y , pushing the 3DS into it’s limit.
Second point : the fan like you , if the pokemon day 2024 ended like this « thanks mister creatures with the cards games and now let’s end this présentation by nothing more good bye » be honest , you will be « WHERE THE GAMES !!!? WE NEED INFOS GAME FREAK !!! » at the end of the direct. So basically just let them cook something good for once.

It may be disappointing at first that we didn't get any Legends Z-A news, but if you think about it, not revealing stuff to early and taking their time on the game really shows that they truly care about Pokemon Legends Z-A and they want to make sure that they game looks way better and much more enjoyable to play.
So in other words it is the fact that the Pokémon company doesn’t want another buggy mess on their hands the moment they release the game.

Here's my thing though. They didn't need to show gameplay or anything. They could have just showed a sequence of concept arts like they did in the SWSH expansion pass trailers.

The Pokémon fandom is quite pitiful. They get upset when B/W came out, people complained that the game was difficult, then complained about the following games being too easy. People really don't know what they want. They demand quality but aren't ready to wait for it. Do we really need to explain that quality and giving the attention a product deserves requires more time?

There is literally a ton of other Pokemon related content to check out, like the new Pokemon Horizons anime, revisiting some of the older games, or trying to finally complete the Pokédex in every game. @@isaiahcardenas7248 I don't like the anime. I don't like certain characters battling gym leaders, I don't like the minimal captures, I don't like the character design. I'm sick and tired of non-linear storytelling. I just want something NEW to chew on. Like ONE new Pokemon. Something to breed hype. Not a stupid gacha game.
I don't know if I'd say I'm specifically happy they aren't showing anything. Being that I work in programming and on projects like these, it's a little strange to not have *anything* to show off even when the finish date on a well-managed, non-crunched project is a long ways off is a bit odd...But it's whatever. Could just be that they want to keep everything under wraps until right before the game is to drop, which is kind of in-keeping with Nintendo's way of handling their own titles. Whatever the case may be, I fully support moving away from the churn they were buckling under. It was becoming obvious they weren't able to keep that pace going, especially when they jumped to gen 8.
What I think they also need to learn is...Pokemon is so amazingly popular that they can afford to take their time with releases. It's worked out swimmingly for Monster Hunter, for example! MonHun enjoys major popularity, takes its time between huge projects (Iceborne's last TU was in 2020 and the same team that worked on that is the one working on Wilds...While Rise was in development slightly alongside and after World, but by the second team in MonHun's division of Capcom), and does amazingly well for the kind of niche it fits in. GF can afford to spend time and passion on their works...People aren't going to forget they exist!

I think we are going to get a Nintendo Direct in October announcing the next gen console and then having legends Z-A release shortly after. (April or May)
I think that the reason that there’s no clips of legends za is because it will be on the switch 2 so the graphics and stuff will be massively upgraded and they can’t show it

I still find it hilarious how BOTW on the Wii U looks better than any of the newest main series pokemon games. Gamefreak still has yet to give fans a AAA quality game.

Honestly probably shows that legends ZA will be one of the first games released on Nintendo switch 2 or something, mostly because they haven’t shown us any footage yet, I would be bummed out if that were the case
Obviously, the nxt Pokemon game are to be released together with the next gen Switch. That is why they cannot show it yet.
With the Trainer cards, it reminds me of the first series. I remember my childhood friends having Giovanni's Persian or Misty's Staryu

Yeah the company used to have much bigger breaks between games, I support this, never understood why since XY they needed a brand new gen every 3 years. It then showed when they jumped to the Switch, and we haven't had a break between games since ORAS to SM. Let them cook, let them rest, be healthy not literally work themselves to death, I can wait, I can play tons of stuff on PC, Switch, or even go back and replay the old games. No need to rush (I also don't count the DLCs, because they clearly stated with SwSh's they are essentially the sequel/3rd games, they while not a new full on game, still counts as new Pokemon stuff those years that had DLC).

There are no new videos or information about the new Pokemon Game, so it means that they probably don't have anything to show yet, so we can be hopeful they're putting more thought into the game before the release.

(Seeing this kind of detail is what tells me NOT to subscribe to a TH-cam channel that randomly shows up in my feed. I think the reason that they are not making a teaser or anything is because it’s going to be released on a new switch version and they can’t really show the new graphics and stuff so they just keep it hidden for now :3

The reason I believe this happened, is because ZA will not be a game for competitive scene, just like Pokemon Legends Arceus. This game will be a casual player oriented game. Which, all things considered is fine.
See what is confusing to me is that Legends z-a is supposed to take place in lumiose city alone from what ive heard? The small scope of the setting is why im confused about not getting any updates- Im hoping they do thier best on it! But I'm admittedly concerned about how theyre going to make a full, fun game that takes place in one city??
No im so fine with no Z-A news if it means their finally taking their time on the game and making sure the quality is good instead of rushing it, and info on it.

They could have shown a lot of things such as the starters, some footage from the game’s early stages which is probably already well in development, maybe one new Pokemon, the cover and release date and a cinematic trailer showing Zygarde and perhaps the A legendary (if the “A” is a legendary). Taking their time with a game and not showing any news are 2 completely unrelated things

I'm mainly just disappointed that it's NOTHING, like, I was hoping for literally anything. Small lil teaser, maybe some concept art, even something like "hey we're still working on it and hoping it'll come out sometime in 2025" like literally any acknowledgement

I fell out of love with Pokemon. I even sold my Switch to solidify that decision. I have other consoles and a PC, so I can still play games. I will be waiting to see what the game looks like before jumping the gun and buying the next generation of the Switch.
We might not be seeing gameplay because it is on the Switch 2 and we need to wait for Nintendo to reveal the new console first.
I can understand not having a trailer for Z-A if it's Switch 2.

Ima guess that the trailer for Z-A will come out before they reveal the next switch since we might get some information on gen 10 a little bit after, I’m sure Pokémon will try and finish up Z-A before working on gen 10. I think since it’s theorized to be coming out next spring/summer, the latest we’ll get something is February on Pokémon day. One thing I think they could’ve done was reveal the starters for Z-A but that’s kinda just my opinions.

I’m fine didn’t really expect a trailer at worlds I think it is more likely sept in Nintendo direct or a Pokémon presents a week before or after that or a presents in Oct giving us the last trailer before pocket comes out. I definitely think PLZA is coming out in may-July 2025. What I’m really annoyed at is how mobile games have replaced console only spinoff games for Pokémon we could of gotten a new installment of PMD, rangers, colosseum, conquest or some totally new console only spinoff game this year but no we get a mobile game.
