@@nickdentoom1173 That's only issue. But it's not hard to workaround it. Pokémon have multiple megas, like Charizard and Mewtwo. Slowbro/king can mega, but their new form can't. Random fact, Blaziken is the only gen 3 starter that can mega in gen 6.
@@nickdentoom1173 I feel like the big issue is with the final form. The OG Blaziken form is more based on a Japanese chicken (Shamo chicken). They would have to change the design to fit more with the chicken/rooster that the French use (Gaelic Chicken).
Not necessarily, they could just give the starters new final evos that are French based (watch mandjtv’s vid on what he thought the starters for ZA could be)
Well, Khu has been almost entirely wrong for basically a year now. He's been mostly silent in 2024, and he started speaking a lot again only after the teraleak, just telling us stuff we know already from the teraleak or what anyone could guess, while the teraleaker said khu is all bs now. So my trust in Khu went from "he's 100% right" to "he used to be 100% right but hasn't gottent much if anything right for a long time now, so I'm not expecting him to be right anymore, but who knows". Now, for the starters, I feel like it COULD be the Gen 6 starters and give them megas, but it'd make more sense to me to use different starters and give hem kalos forms, and have 2nd starters like in gen 6, those being the actual gen 6 starters, and give them mega evolutions. My only issue with giving them mega evolutions is greninja: Since Ash's greninja is a thing, will they instead of giving mega evolutions, give battle synchor forms or whatever they're called? in which case the other two would have a new form, but technically not this third starter as it's already a bit old, or will they all get a proper mega evolution, and ash's greninja will be its own thing and a mechanic that'll never return? I want the starters to be: - Serperior (Fleur de Lys, the French royalty emblem) - Blaziken (the rooster is one of the french symbols, and it could have a Sun King regional form to fit the other two starters that have noble themes) - Empoleon (based on Napoleon) having a game with french best plant starter, french best water starter and french kinda whatever fire starter and mega evolved gen 6 starters would be really cool. (even though Chesnaught is the worst plant starter but eh. whatever)
I agree with most of what your saying but I think it would make more sense for Scorebunny to be the fire starter (watch mandjtv’s vid on what he thought the starters for ZA could be)
@@SugarcookieYT maybe it's just me disliking football/soccer so it'd piss me off a bit, but I really don't see a good trio of two pokémons inspired by french nobility and one that just represent soccer. I don't really see how a bunny could fit the theme the other two are already forming. A rooster is already a national emblem, so at least it's closer, and I feel like a Louis XIV/Sun King theme would be the most obvious choice to fit the other two for a fire starter, and I think it'd be easier to achieve with a blaziken compared to a cinderace, even without the national emblem thing. but idk, it could still be anything. I'm not sure where this scorebunny theory came from in the first place, was it just "football/soccer is big in france"?
@@SugarcookieYT I didn't know MandJTV, so I went and check his video out and... yeah, his reasoning makes sense, scorebunny makes more sense cinsidering this, but he assumes the starters will get a new mega evolution, that's why blaziken is eliminated. I think the Kalos starters will be obtainable in the region and get megas, but that the starters will get kalos forms, so blaziken still makes more sense in that regard. it all depends on what treatment the starter get, and that may boil down to how consistent they want Legends to be as a series. If they want the formula to be "we get an old region, focus on one aspect of the lore, have a slightly different gameplay, and the starters are old ones that are given a regional form", then it's torchic. If they want the formula to be "no formula, we do what we want, so we can make Legends Z-A a city builder, and then have the next Legends game's starters be bidoof, rattata and lechonk because why not", then it'll likely be scorebunny. My issue with taking only the most popular pokémons for a legends game's starters is that they'll eventually "have" to use the least liked starters, because all the fan-favourites were already used, and are now even more popular.
They are scared of showing gameplay because they are trying to stay away from the backlash SV has got like the designs and scrapped features. That early SV image actually looked better, even if the girl trainer looks very much like Mitzuki from SM.
Something interesting I've noticed in the pictures is that Froakie took the shape of the Vanillite, Fennekin is wearing a dress that's pink like Jigglypuff, and Chespin is wearing a blazer just like Machamp. But Chespin is also with Pikachu so dont know if it's going to be an electric or fighting influence because Chesnaught is also a fighting type. Which makes me think that maybe, as you mention about the mega-evolution, that maybe these starters might mega-evolve into Greninja (Dark+Ice), Delphox (Psychic+Fairy), and Chesnaught (Fighting+Electric)
X and Y was my first pokemon game and I’m very attached to Delphox. I didn’t know about transferring pokemon in those days, so Firefly the delphox is long gone-but with this, I could have her again.
It makes a lot a sense since Pokemon ZA is suppose to take place before Lumiose City was built and if I remember correctly from when I used to play Pokemon X and Y. It had mentioned how Fenniken, Chespin, and Frokkie had always been the starter pokemon in the Kalos region from the begining. So they are most likely trying to also stick to a story. If we look back into the story and what we learn about the past in Pokemon X and Y, it tells a bit about the time before Lumiose City was built.
At the very least I’d like to see Delphox , Greninja, and Chesnaught get mega evolutions since Game Freak has finally heard our cries to bring it back.
It would be completely illogical to get a new variant of the third evolution as in PLA. However, a mega evolution for the starters is not a unthinkable. It would be even more awesome if they did it for EVERY pokemon of that generation
My favourite rumor I’ve heard is that they’ll have regional forms of new starters like LA but they’ll give you a kalos starter like the Kanye ones in XY and give regionals to the new starters and megas to the old ones
You can shorten the starters to the most possible • Anything with Mega evolution Out, So Gen 1,3 are not candidates • The Kalos starters out when relating to legends arceus • Starters of legends arceus Out So no Samurott, decidueye,Typhlosion • Sinnoh starters had their time to shine in hisui so i doubt they'll be available as starters this time • Which leaves gen 2,5,7,8 • Gen 8 is a switch game(Fairly recent) They probably won't give priority to them • final candidates Gen 2,5,7 Possible Starters 1• Meganium,Emboar,Primarina Or 2• Feraligatr,Incineroar, Serperior Note: They prob would settle with starters having regional forms and not megas, The megas could be the actual kalos members or maybe no mega starters all together
In Hisui being a trainer wasn't something established already. This just proves ZA takes place in a more modern setting. So, we would have the official starters of Kalos.
Definitely maybe a few years after legends arceus as we’re urbanizing lumiose meaning turning it into a modernized city meaning it’s probably gonna be a town at first
Having the Kalos starters in a game based on current time / slight future fit far more than having random other starters from other regions tbh. Especially depending on storyline. The game is literally about telling “legendary stories” which are set at any point in time really
I saw in a different video from someone else that the starters were leaked online because of the Game Freak hacking incident over the Summer from last August. It was revealed that the multi-regeion starters were Treecko, Litten and Totodile. 3, 7 and 2 regarding generation.
I would just like to say thanks for all the content. You were one of my top TH-camrs this year and be careful outside. I just got frostbite from playing pokémon go lol. Be safe!
Something to note is that Froakie does look a bit different than usual, since its head is covered in bubbles. Even though it looks like a cute way for them to be mimicking Vanilite it isn't a stretch to assume that it could be hinting at an alt forme for its final stage. Possibly one with more bubbles, since Greninja is the only stage of its line that doesn't have bubbles. I would laugh if no real effort was put forth in making Chespin's new forme and they just made it sitting in a car in battle.
I’d like to see something like they did more research and found more native Pokémon had mega evolution but for some reason they had to temporarily stop research which in turn explains why we didn’t have the new megas during gen 6 considering this game is taking place in the future.
I think it would be neat to have three starters that don't get megas, but new forms, and have the original starters get megas and you can pick one of them as a second starter like they did for the original
I mean if that's the case, I'm glad they're getting megas as excluding the starters for the generation is weird for it but I think regional starters should continue. It makes sense that they would change based on location
My personal theory was that we would have regional variant starters like the 1st Legends game, then we would get a second set that would Mega evolve like we did in Gen 6 that would be the Kalos starters this time.
I haven't played Pokemon since Pokemon emerald and I have to say that I am so excited to play the newest game next year. Currently I am watching every Pokemon episode until the end I am currently at Journeys
My current theory is they'll go with the remaining starters from the generations the used last time. Pokemon has a habit of balancing their starters (mega blazikin one game, then the other 2 got it. Giga charizard and then later the other 2 got em). With that in mind... my guess is poplio with a mime or clown focused past form. Then chko and Tepig. I think it would b neat if for meganium they use a renaissance blueprint theme or maybe use the original bayleaf form from the space thing. Then idk what they could use for tepig. U also believe kalos starters will get megas and be wild like the other regions starters in arceus
It being the same starters is the best and makes sense, as they have only been starters in one game, in comparison to all the other starters. (SwSh and ScVi don’t count cs DLC)
Well you got a kento starter opposite to the kalos starter type you picked. So it could be the reverse just as easily as the same formula. The legends could be hissian starters and the kalos starters could get Megas. Or legend kalos form starters and Megas for another region starters
I wonder if the final evo of froakie will be ice, fennekin will have a fairy final evonl and chespin may have a dark type from just what I see in the picture with the 3 starters.
In XY, We get two starter throughout the game by the beginning of Kalos with Chespin, Fennikin, and Frokie, than halfway with Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, also I have a idea that we'll be traveling between past and future of Kalos so in the past we'll get the first starters then later in the future era we'll get the second starter
I saw an at an American toy store six prominent starters piplup, snivy and fenniken but I think there's other two starters for each line is probably going to be out in the wild
You know what I remembered that sycamore actually gives you two starters what if you meet sycamore after you have completed the development of lumiose city since the timeline it takes place is not 200+ years in the past like Legends Arceus. And instead of sycamore giving you the kanto starters he lets you choose a different set of starters with Kalosian forms
Now remember x and y had 2 sets of starters with the ones you start and the ones sycamore gifts and remember that the second set are the only ones to mega evolve so it can be that the first set doesnt get mega evelution and the second set be kalos starters and they get mega evelutions
I mean if that's the case, I'm glad they're getting megas as excluding the starters for the generation is weird for it but I don't think regional starters shouldn't continue. It makes sense that they would change based on location
I mean the kalos starters got gypped in their game so I’d love to see em make a comeback with their own megas maybe they can even use battle bond greninja as its mega?
I think there going to be the kalos starters but with different typings at the final evolution like in pla considering mega evolving is built into the games mechanics and is a kalos thing as you said there’s no reason why that needs to be the special thing that makes them different
The leaks also pointed towards ZA being a sequel to X & Y. It would make sense if we still had the Kalos starters. Would be weird to get starters that have nothing to do with the region I do think we'll get a 2nd set like in X & Y and those will have either regional variants or megas
The games taking place in the past it physically has too as legends are only things that happened in the past a prophecy is of something to come that hasn’t happened
I just hope we don't get any regional variants for the starters. The reason being that it's highly likely the starters will be Pokemon who previously didn't have a mega evolution. I'd really like to see how the original version's mega evolution looks like instead of getting a mega for a regional variant that they just introduced.
Well in the original X and Y games you could choose two starters. 1 from the new trio and 1 from the original trio. They migth do the same but with the original kalos starters and the new one’s. Having 2 is fine but choosing 1 from 6 is better and still close to the original.
Look, nowadays I've gotten very fearful of how much of a disaster Z-A may end up being, due to the teraleak. Why ? They revealed that not only was Gamefreak initially trying to release it in late 2024 (meaning that it would've been the 2nd mainline pokémon release this year along with the Indigo Disk), but also that they are currently working on 2 mainline pokémon games: Z-A and Gen 10. Last time this happened was with Legends Arceus and SV, and for how enjoyable those games might have been, I'm sure nobody wants games as incomplete and glitchy as they were.
This makes sense cuz we're already familiar with Kalos. And it doesn't take place thousands of years in the past, so makes sense that we're getting them back. ALSO FIGHT ME CHESNAUGHT IS THE BEST STARTER.
My guess is that they are gonna choose them from the same three regions so it could be totodile, snivy, and litten or chickorita, tepig, and popplio. Hopefully if this was true it would be the first three at least thats my opinion. Edit: Now thinking about it they would have to connect to France in some way so I am probably incorrect
Personally, I don't think it would be a problem for mega evolution of the select straters of various gens in Legends ZA. The reason is due to the fact the other starters for those gens will not be in that game. Similar to Legends Arceus and the Hisuian variants of the starters. There were no need to make hisuian forms of other starters that don't take place in that region.
i think the say hi to ikkaku might be refering to the digimon ikkakumon as its a water digimon and the trail was like a 3d pc render that the gen 7 trainers used for the remaster so i think za is gonna be half pokemon and half digimon in a mix as a cross over as pla's battle system turns is alot like cuber seluths speed system

Like give Serperior some psychic, ground, rock, ghost, dark, and offensive poison plus stronger fighting and flying coverage, plus make steel and dragon coverage easier to get, and make aqua tail a move it can remember, and you're good to go
serperior cant be dragon since it would ruin the fire-grass-water match ups, same reason charizard isnt dragon
@breadeater4 so? Primarina was made fairy type
@@eljordinio7647Fairy doesn't resist fire, water & grass like dragons do.
@BananaBlooD9517 so? Against a dragon starter who is water or grass type, fairy can still cause super effective damage
I Just want Chikorita back😭
You know what I would love to see? Pikachu and/or Raichu to get a mega evolution. Also Lucario to get a different mega evolution, where he mega evolves, it looks different. Similar to the Hisuian starters 3rd evolution.
Lieutenant Surge battle Bond Gorochu
The rat can go into the garbage can, he doesn't need more excuses for more shitty content
So like a Z form?
Lol mega evolution doesn't happen to pre-voles
Dont be litten
Dont be litten

Mega Incineroar would ruin competitive pokemon lmao 😭
@ActualAero if it does happen i have to admit watching the carnage might be fun for like the first 3 months
@@ActualAero megas tend to change abilities from their 3rd stage evo, so mega incineroar might lose intimidate lol.
Aaaand it's gonna be litten
No body care shit ass
this is the third time the starters have been leaked this month
AND WE'RE ONLY 8 DAYS IN
I really want Infernape to comeback with Mega, it would become a beast
That would be brilliant. I’ve not seen enough people saying this
If they're going with 3 that are French related, it has to be Snivy/Piplup/Torchic.
Torchic is problematic because Blaziken already has a Mega.
@@nickdentoom1173as if already having a special form has ever stopped gamefreak from giving them a second?
I want the starters to be:
- Serperior (Fleur de Lys, the French royalty emblem)
- Blaziken (the rooster is one of the french symbols, and it could have a Sun King regional form to fit the other two starters that have noble themes)
- Empoleon (based on Napoleon)
having a game with french best plant starter, french best water starter and french kinda whatever fire starter and mega evolved gen 6 starters would be really cool.
@@NX_TV like I said watch mandjtv’s video on what he thinks the starters could be for ZA
Totadile should be the water starter💯💯💯
The other types can GO f themselves 😂
Unless it s scorbunny😊
Snivy, piplup and scorbunny for me
Those three make the most sense to me
Why scorbunny? It's already pure perfection?
@@Frenzied_flame_enjoyer🤣👍
Totadile for me 💯💯💯
I hope ZA starters are solid I wonder who they'll pick this time
Me too!
They are scared of showing gameplay because they are trying to stay away from the backlash SV has got like the designs and scrapped features. That early SV image actually looked better, even if the girl trainer looks very much like Mitzuki from SM.
It's a legit red flag if that's the case.
@@GemsofEarthit’s not the case
That's 10 minutes of my life wasted. This is an old news and you're milking it for the views.
Welcome to TH-cam. Get used to it
Either that or this guy just got around to making a vid on it
went to the comments to see if this was worth my time tyy
I want Snivy, Cinderace and Empoleon as starters because they have the most cultural ties to Kalos which is based off of France.
That’s. What I think they will be
The data leaker does say the game takes place, not in the past. So the starters being Kalos makes sense.
But it’s supposed to be right after the weapon is fired so this is when mega evolution first happened(in universe)
It’s most likely going to take place in the past
Its prob Future
It's going to take place in a near future. Like a sequel of XY or an alternative timeline future.
It's impossible to be from the age of AZ.
We’re regressing. The Pokémon company themselves have said it’s about the building of Lumiose city. It’s not modern
I didn’t know about transferring pokemon in those days, so Firefly the delphox is long gone-but with this, I could have her again.
so its come full circle then. We got MEGAS in x/y lost them and now we are coming back to them NICE
Can't wait to see the community crying because they got destroyed 6-0 by a mega evolution
I would love Snivy, Torchic and Piplup as starters and Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox and Mega Greninja to be the Pseudos
Would be interesting if it was Pikachu, Meowth and Jigglypuff
6:12 that’s a super weak argument
Welcome back, were you away on holiday?
No I just haven't been able to upload as much working a full time job too and making videos
aww, that sports coats image is so wholesome :3
It would be completely illogical to get a new variant of the third evolution as in PLA. However, a mega evolution for the starters is not a unthinkable. It would be even more awesome if they did it for EVERY pokemon of that generation
My favourite rumor I’ve heard is that they’ll have regional forms of new starters like LA but they’ll give you a kalos starter like the Kanye ones in XY and give regionals to the new starters and megas to the old ones
You can shorten the starters to the most possible
• Anything with Mega evolution Out, So Gen 1,3 are not candidates
• The Kalos starters out when relating to legends arceus
• Starters of legends arceus Out So no Samurott, decidueye,Typhlosion
• Sinnoh starters had their time to shine in hisui so i doubt they'll be available as starters this time
• Which leaves gen 2,5,7,8
• Gen 8 is a switch game(Fairly recent) They probably won't give priority to them
• final candidates Gen 2,5,7
Possible Starters
1• Meganium,Emboar,Primarina
Or
2• Feraligatr,Incineroar, Serperior
Note: They prob would settle with starters having regional forms and not megas, The megas could be the actual kalos members or maybe no mega starters all together
8 is out no matter what because the starters got g-max forms
man the new mega evolutions are gona be so epic
Treecko is impossible, because it already has a Mega.
I would just like to say thanks for all the content. You were one of my top TH-camrs this year and be careful outside. I just got frostbite from playing pokémon go lol. Be safe!
There are worse ways to get frostbite.
Now seeing megas of Serperior, Empoleon and Cinderace are things I'd be delighted to see 😊
Something to note is that Froakie does look a bit different than usual, since its head is covered in bubbles. Even though it looks like a cute way for them to be mimicking Vanilite it isn't a stretch to assume that it could be hinting at an alt forme for its final stage. Possibly one with more bubbles, since Greninja is the only stage of its line that doesn't have bubbles. I would laugh if no real effort was put forth in making Chespin's new forme and they just made it sitting in a car in battle.
what if the twist on the starter mega-evolutions would be something like a complete mega-evolution form to be in line with the theme of Zygarde
i always thought it would be the gen 6 starters because its in the modern era. where hisui was unexplored so they had to bring them from other regions
We don’t know when it takes place
Of course.
I want the Pokemon: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC 🐎
I have an idea since xy had give you 2 starters one of them would be normal and one would be diffrent
It being the same starters is the best and makes sense, as they have only been starters in one game, in comparison to all the other starters. (SwSh and ScVi don’t count cs DLC)
I really wish they would just let us choose which starter we want regardless which generation its from. So all gens all starters available
so hyped for this game. currently replaying arceus
Snivy
Fennekin
Mudkip
Prove me wrong.
Well you got a kento starter opposite to the kalos starter type you picked.
So it could be the reverse just as easily as the same formula.
The legends could be hissian starters and the kalos starters could get Megas.
Or legend kalos form starters and Megas for another region starters
I wonder what color they are gonna pick for the new region. Or if it's actually a color.
They could do a similar thing where they give two starterrs again but this time the second one is the original Kalos starters with mega stones
I wonder if the final evo of froakie will be ice, fennekin will have a fairy final evonl and chespin may have a dark type from just what I see in the picture with the 3 starters.
What i would really want before Christmas is the Pokémon Scarlet dlc(both of them if thats possible..)
Is it worth waiting or getting a switch if the new one is coming around the corner ?
I would wait to get the newer one
I mean if that's the case, I'm glad they're getting megas as excluding the starters for the generation is weird for it but I don't think regional starters shouldn't continue. It makes sense that they would change based on location
I mean the kalos starters got gypped in their game so I’d love to see em make a comeback with their own megas maybe they can even use battle bond greninja as its mega?
We could also get a second set of starters like in the original game. So we could see one set get mega's and one set get regional forms.
I think we should receive little updates and just be shocked by everything almost like the older games
Would be weird to get starters that have nothing to do with the region
I do think we'll get a 2nd set like in X & Y and those will have either regional variants or megas
The games taking place in the past it physically has too as legends are only things that happened in the past a prophecy is of something to come that hasn’t happened
Pokémon Z-A? Pokémon Pizza? Pokémon Zah? Lol
I wonder if horde battles will still be a thing and how would it work if it was
I just hope we don't get any regional variants for the starters. The reason being that it's highly likely the starters will be Pokemon who previously didn't have a mega evolution. I'd really like to see how the original version's mega evolution looks like instead of getting a mega for a regional variant that they just introduced.
I hope they choose all 3 from different generations. Snivy, Mudkip & Litten
It’d be nice to mix up the starters for a new region. Maybe Froakie, Rowlet, and Cyndaquil
Wouldn’t be just as possible for it to be the Kalos starters are the second set of starters you get like in XY
Entering! I’ve always wanted legends Arceus :)
I can see some sense to your theory but I think they chose the Kalos starters for that poster is because the next game is going to be set in Kalos .
I’m so excited Megas are back 😭
What if we get starters from different regions and then can catch the Kalos ones that can then also mega evolve?
Pokémon legends Z-A is starting to sound like another X and Y, but i also seen something about them adding z moves to it.
Legends Arceus still has the original gen 4 starters. So most likely we'll get the original gen 6 starters in legends Za
The funny thing is that Diancie is the only Kalos Pokémon that can Mega Evolve.
One of those Metroid games would be really fun!
I just hope the starters are gonna be Froakie/Fennekin/Chespin because the setting ofc is in kalos
My guess for the starters are Chikorita, Tepig, & Sobble.
Truth in my opinion, I believe it will be starters that dont have Megas yet
I feel this would be a good time to give the Kalos starters mega evolutions
if meganium doesen't get any love in this game i will call kirby to give them a lesson
I'm really hoping we get Froakie back. Greninja is my favorite water type.
I really Want zelda tears of the kingdom! Also, I love the content! Keep up the good work!!!😁
i think the say hi to ikkaku might be refering to the digimon ikkakumon as its a water digimon and the trail was like a 3d pc render that the gen 7 trainers used for the remaster so i think za is gonna be half pokemon and half digimon in a mix as a cross over as pla's battle system turns is alot like cuber seluths speed system
It’s not ikakku is literally the codename for legends z-a
@@GrimReaper_TTV well never jnow but ikkakumon is before za
Litten or emboar, sniffy, and piplup would be my go to. But for some reason I feel mega charizard Z is coming
