She has good color in her vocals. This Aria has staccatos, legatos and trills!! They connect and flow, and it gets extremely powerful. She did a brilliant job.
This is the encore of her concert. The joke is that they were not sure she was coming back again. The singer is supposed to be a windup doll of great singing ability. From time to time the mainspring runs down to comic effect. This is IMO the hardest aria ever inflicted on a coloratura soprano. Patricia is 17 years old in this performance and delivers the aria with extraordinary skill and precision and beauty for that age or really just about any age. Sadly Patricia is no longer with us, having passed from this world on October 1 2023 after a year and a half battle with cancer at the far too young age of 25. She is greatly missed. It wasn't until earlier this year that I heard about Patricia's death. Here in the USA, I join Maestra Janeckova's friends, fans and family in mourning the loss of this musical genius.
you were always complimentary about patricia in all your reviews! everybody knew she was destined for great things as a singer & an actress, which made her death all the more unbelievably sad & cruel!!we know we shall always have videos of patricia singing her heart out but it hurts to know she will sing again because she is no longer alive!! i hope some enterprising soul will embark on keeping pj's name alive, either in book, documentary, stage musical, film &/or cd/dvd form!! maybe 'AI' could come into play, like it did for abba & the beatles? all the best!@@AllenJones-w3p

This is trivial because she still provided a more than outstanding performance full of character an emotion, which is already hard enough as it is. But even without the high note, you still need an enormous amount of agility to perform this aria. And though she sounds like a lyrical soprano, rather than a coloratura, she still pulls it off just fine!
