One evening in 2017 while I was doing some easy work on the computer, I decided to put on some TH-cam opera arias, starting with Anna Netrebko. As videos were coming up automatically one after the other, this performance of the Laughing Song appeared. My attention quickly went from my work to the video: Who is this, I wondered. I noticed the singer looked young, but 17 ? I ciouldn't have guessed. From then on, there is not an available performance of Patricia Janeckova I have missed, . She was an extraordinary artist, a lovable young woman. And now that she is gone, I am imaginaning all the great performances from her we were expecting, and I miss her so much ! there were many tears shed at patricia's passing! like waylon, i'm not an opera fan but pj had such a young distinctive voice that she was unique! i'm a heavy metal fan but i can appreciate just what a brilliant singer she was!! patricia herself liked rock music & she could sing in german, english & italian, as well as her native slovakian! patricia janckova's name must be allowed to fade away! her music should be introduced to music lovers in england & america, while her biography should be written & made into a documentary! a stage musical & film should be produced in english! a 'greatest hits' type album should be released, maybe with her many fans contributing to the most popular songs!
