Your comment at the very end about twerking the leaf springs to eliminate squeak might have just saved me from having to buy new parts, mine have been squeaking annoyingly so I'm going to try that.
That really helped. I am in the middle of doing this on my 06 Tundra 4x4 and I was stuck on a part and your video was the most helpful. Appreciate that!
I have squeaking coming from the bushings I think. This video helps a lot with removal instructions. Gonna pop them out and grease the bushings hopefully that will kill the squeaking. Thanks.
just broke my rear leaf on my 2002 tundra. this video helps a lot. makes a thousand dollar job only 300 or so. I'm gonna scavenge and do it even cheaper as it's got 300000 on tho odometer. fun great though.
im not sure, a bigger pry bar or maybe a strong air hammer would help push it out. if you have the axle jacked up, lower that jack a bit as well if you haven't
Got it from ATSSPRINGS.com , they're in PA so the the total price was the cheapest I could find for a new spring. The total with the Ubolts was around $190
a DIY Car Guy not bad , mine was $230 the springs. I still need to buy Ubolts. I'll keep that company in mind since i have to buy station wagon springs for the crown vic.
Jimbo Booth yea i was surprised at the price compared to other springs that were available for this truck.....230's not too bad either, your springs are probably bigger

I have the same socket set and it was invaluable when I replaced the leaf springs on my 92 F150. Very nice video.
best thing in the world, a lot would be impossible for me without a 3/4" socket set. thanks!
Doing this job in Canada is pretty much the same except step 1; torch off every fastener
Absolutely. You're not getting those u-bolts off without a 6 foot snipe. Angle grinder or acetylene is your friend.
@@joels7605took me hours to get 4 bolts off… and I just ended uo angle grinding them

How did the front of the spring pop out so easily? I know you said it may need some prying but mine will hardly budge.
