finally you agree that the electrical contact cleaner is the prefered cleaner! YAY!!!!!!! been bothering some of us. Also the CRC spray works great too, cheaper here, $4 vs $7 for WD40 branded.

Thanks for posting this. The normal WD40 used in the US is different. In fact, at one point (pretty sure its still true) the WD40 used in the state of California is different from the other 49 states! (different laws different formulations).

Well it was invented here in San Diego, also where they are headquartered. Recently, they transported their "secret formula" by hand under armed guard. I guess they never copyrighted the recipe so it's super valuable...

Take a picture of the keys, remove key caps and throw them in a bucket with soapy water and swish it around. Rinse and dry. Wipe down the inside of the keyboard with alcohol wipes. Finally replace keys. Wipe down the mouse with alcohol wipes. The mouse pad you can clean it with soapy water and a sponge, rinse and let dry.

The problem with WD-40 is that even after wiping it's very Lily and greasy, not sure if the brand has a multipurpose spray like the one you're using but if you felt what WD-40 does, you wouldn't be advising people to use it. I suggest contacting WD-40 maker and asking what they recommend so you can pass that info the audience. Love the parts cleaning vids tho.

Mouse pads I've always just tossed in the laundry. :-) NOTE: I should specify *NEVER* *EVER* the drier - I just let them air dry...

Interesting method. But it wouldn't work that well on really humid climates like where I'm at since dust clumps fast and doesn't easily get blown by pressurized air or water, they need to be brushed off.

Step 1: Put keys off the keyboard Step 2: clean dust and dirt out off the keyboard with air pressure can and clean the keys with some hot soap water Step 3: put it back together. This is the way I clean my keyboard.
