Sean you bloody legend mate! I'm watching from my shed/studio in a tiny country town in OutBack WILD Western Australia (Population 9 people). I have almost no filmmaking experience and a 100% Solo operation apart from my wifes second opinion), Your advice in this video is more valuable to me than you know. I am a 62yo retired bloke who has a brilliant idea for a short film about MEN'S Mental Health and featuring my 1969 Pontiac GP 455 Stroker American Muscle Car + a badass 308 Pump Action Rifle and myself a character who has borderline multiple personality disorder [watch this space]. Hopefully begin filming in the first quarter of 2025. GOD bless you buddy, I see you I appreciate you. Cheers from Down Under
Awesome presentation. I like your dedication to explain and show how you did the different angles to make the shots. This is really inspiring and I'm looking forward to try your technique.
Sean I love all your videos & advice. I’m looking to upgrade my camera to shoot my yoga classes for my TH-cam channel. Is there a camera you recommend for this type of video? Was looking at Sony a7iv but that might be overkill for what I’m tryna do
Hi @seankitching - How did you keep the tone low at the start ? (10,000 hours...) Was it a different speed, emotion ? Yours hits different and trying to get that identical voice. Ta!
I'm having a argument with a women over her video on how to grow on TH-cam but her audio is terrible and video quality is terrible as she is sitting in her car with her mic wobbling all over the place and distorting as she speaks, its really bad quality but the videos like that are getting thousands of views. I told her the only reason her videos are getting views is because the topic "how to grow on TH-cam" is the most seaarched turm and thats it.
why do you use transitions? transitions are used only when the cameraman made a mistake and couldn't shoot the necessary frames for video editing! Or is it some kind of fashion trend?
Transitions are used to change from scene to scene. It’s not a specific rule that says transitions are only made to hide mistakes, they can be creative decisions too.
@ because, watch movies with a rating of 8 and above and you will not see transitions between frames, transitions are when they cannot find normal plans!
@ that depends on the film and rating of 8 on what site? And you do realize transitions include the standard cut and dissolves as well right? Im assuming you must mean more elaborate transitions but even those are common in well rated movies (Edgar Wright has fun ones). But it is all personal preference. But to say transitions are only for mistakes is just wrong. They can be helpful in that case tho but there are plenty of creative choices for a transition.

Yourself, James Matthews and Parker Walbeck are the best channels I have ever come accross for learning film/story making. Thanks matey!

So ein Blödsinn! Warum soll man nur transition benutzen, wenn ein Fehler vorliegt?
