I find solo film making so awkward. In my case, having a plan is difficult as I am filming table tennis matches. I have to make the intro BEFORE the match takes place. So I do not know what the match will be about, as I built the story afterwards. I end up filming various intros, depending on the weather, the energy, the mood, and I carft a story at the end. What I miss most are close up shots during the table tennis match which I cannot make by myself obviously !
I’ve single-handedly produced more than 400 mini documentaries . All at locations that most people could only dream of visiting. I couldn’t anyone interested to go me, even when i offered 100% free training!
Can you pleaseeeeeee not use a music which has vocal in it... its very very very distracting... i wanted to hear you, but instead I am constantly getting distracted with this music...
Yes. Its actually quite a rookie mistake. Never have music during important dialogue scenes. Distracting and annoying. Music in general is over rated cause most people have bad cinematic taste and they opt for cheap sources with regards to usage rights. Ive fallen in that same trap
Some very useful tips, but it's annoying when you can't understand any of the text because the background music is no longer in the background but in the foreground, blaring in your ears. Very unprofessional. Makes the whole video worthless. My tip: practice it again and then you can play teacher again!
Sean do you use the Pivo often... I have one that was given to me as as gift but have not really found a use for it, but I see that you use one do you find it responsive enough to use as a solo film maker?
Sean, I film a lot by myself with the help of a gorilla tripod. I've clamped it to tree branches, fences, and even my bicycle handlebar. Next time I'm going to clamp it facing back I love experimenting with it.
Another very helpful video. Thank you. It is my point of view that solo filming requires greater creativity because you can't rely on other people or a wide range of gadgets to produce what it is you are trying to create. I've never worked with a team (I imagine it would be a lot less work and a whole lot more socializing/communication) and am not opposed to working with a team, but I truly love all the aspects of creative autonomy, freedom and control that comes from working alone.
I LOVE your work. Your videos are amazing!!! Thank you for your step by step instructions and for showing us on how to do it. You teach us well and so love your channel😊❤😊
Since I follow this dude I still remember the first one. He was in the beach side. Making vids with tripad and bike. And I think he is using a phone that time. I'm not sure now. I assume coz i still use phone for filming that time.😅
How many time you remake this type of content? It all sounds familiar to me.😅 Look like everytime I open your videos is about how you make your solo vids 😁..
Hi ! Thanks for all the tips you gave, that's GOLD ! 👌❤ I'm a bit curious on how you achieve to have this awsome color grading on your video when you are filming at home !
you always give great information man. My question is how do you come up with what to film? I will like too see your work flow from the idea to completion if possible. thanks again for your great work.
Sean - Keep challenging us to do more, when alone and with less equipment. Yes your videos are amazing because of the whole package: The ideas you come up with, the perspectives and variety of creative shots you stitch together with some post edit movement what makes them so so good!!! Great video, always looking forward to seeing what you will come up with next.
The background music is really annoying and makes it hard to follow the good content... 😕
I like to watch your video but the music background is annoying
This guy is young and is going through a noisy phase , would have been great with chill jazz
Great video, but background music too loud and distracting.

First here from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 West Africa
Much love
Thank you! I just start filming myself

Long life brother
Great suggestions and inspiration. Subscribed.
Appreciate that! Hope you enjoy the upcoming videos!
nice job bro
yes sir
Good tips, cheers!
This guys hair is giving Einstein. ❤
Yeah, background music is definitely too loud.
Superb ❤
ugh... this music in the bacground was a challenge to stay focused
Music's too loud, machine gun delivery could use pauses
Can you pleaseeeeeee not use a music which has vocal in it... its very very very distracting... i wanted to hear you, but instead I am constantly getting distracted with this music...
Music is a bit too loud.
Bro you distracted me now 😅
The Music is massively distracting and unnecessary.

Something I’ve struggled with too. I was taught that having the music’s volume be 16dB quieter than the speaker is the way to make it non-distracting
6:29 but you don't want your music to distract from the video as in this case. It's like we're in a club trying to have a conversation.
Very informative, music was a little loud in some of your talking spots though. Soundtrack should compliment not compete with the rest of your audio.
I liked your content but the music background was noisy!
I don’t mind the music choice. These vocals aren’t as distracting as actual lyrics. Could be a bit quieter tho

What is that rotational gadget that is moving your phone as you move at 00:29 in your video? Does that follow your movements?
Plan
Right gears
Framing and composition ( wide shot medium shot close shot)
Focus
Review your shot all the time
Understand limitations
Fake movement
I am scared to shoot myself in crowded areas. Any suggestion on possible alternatives?
the music underlay makes it impossible to watch this
Curious. I rather liked it.
same here... it was distracting

maybe adding a digital shake to tripod shots would be a good idea too? 🤔great video, thank you 🙌🏻
This music is horrible despite the great tutorial
very good!
whats the name or brand of the tracking tripod?
Really good stuff. Thx
Background music is so loud it's hard to hear you
nice job💯.I was requesting if you can share how long does it take to for you to plan and film your video?
