Thank you, thank you for all your videos. People with SIBO do feel so alone and like it will never get better. Please continue to encourage and educate us!!
I have the opposite issue to all this. I WANT to look into all these things but so many providers simply don’t or don’t care to and it’s so frustrating. This was a great well rounded look at the entire picture.
After getting off Betaine HCL and what not, I need to work on a few things. My motility is slightly under par and I’m very gassy. I’ve also reacted to the first probiotic capsule and a particular sauerkraut. Nic, I just need this journey to end already 😒
I'm not sure if you have answered this elsewhere, or if there is someone who reads this who knows the answer... My son is struggling with SIBO symptoms, we're still waiting for breath-test results... He is 17 and a football player, using LOTS of calories. He has been trying to follow a low-FODMAP diet, but he is noticeably losing weight. Is it better to get the calories or better to follow the diet strictly. I have told him that it's better to eat, but he's suffering so much that he's trying to avoid triggers. We're still getting used to the diet and finding food that works for a well-balanced diet.
I have been diagnosed with methane sibo-c and have been on a few round of antimicrobials and prokinetics which haven’t done anything. I also have had chronic insomnia for many years and bad constipation. The only way I can a bowel movement is with high dose magnesium citrate. Where would you suggest I start with healing my body.
Probiotics fix my constipation, constipation is usually caused by poor microbiome, fix that and you fix your motility issues. Magnesium citrate only works temporarily
@@Vgallo I’ve tried all kinds old probiotics which did nothing. I’ve also taken magnesium citrate and gives me nasty heartburn as I needed over 1700 mg to have any effect.
@@gayledeir7326 yeah I was the same, unfortunately most probiotics are nowhere near good enough for what we have, you need to do a full microbiome study and find out exactly what you need and then take it in really high doses, so practitioner brands. Until I did that nothing worked for me either and if your doing it without the microbiome your doing it blindfolded and hoping you get lucky
Love the content do you do phone consultations ? Really struggling tired everything and haven’t been able to find someone in my area who seems to have a clue what sibo is. It’s really affecting my life and would love to have a chat about this condition
I took magnesium but it made my constipation worse. then I tried drinking epsom salts as I was so desperate to have a bowl movment, now it is nice and regular for two months since. less bloating too.
I was thinking about Epsom salt but how much do you take? I have some at home but I don't know how to use it. I'm desperate to get better. I had colonic hydrotherapy yesterday. Because my constipation was bad. I have sibo Methane. Please let me know how you use it.
@@rafaelthemotivator I use food grade Epsom salt. Mix one heaping tsp in a 16oz of water and drink it. You can mix another one after 3 hours if you still don't feel the need to use the toilet. You may have loose stools for the next day or two.
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and feel as though that is my root cause. I am trying to now figure out how to treat the SIBO once and for all. Rifaximin for 3 rounds helped at first but the SIBO feels as though it is still very present.
I started experiencing some bloating, trapped gas, no appetite, feeling full all the time, on top of that constipation. It's been a rough time for me. I all started after I was stressed out a lot and also I ate some bad mushrooms. So I suspect i might have sibo My doctor doesn't help me much, she said I have ibs and she doesn't believe in sibo. So unfortunately I have to figure it out in my own
Just eating enough calories for metabolic rate. Yes I have always aspired to eat a lot of calories especially to be a running and weight lighting machine which requires lots of calories especially carbs and protein. Yet I react to so many foods. I'm pretty sure I have sulfur intolerance or sulfur gene issues which makes it hard to get enough protein. Eating lots of carbs seem to feed a fungal overgrowth. If i go to fodmaps, there are things said to avoid which do bother me that other lists say that it's okay. I was joking yesterday saying my only safe foods are avocado and lettuce. But today I made a slightly bigger list of safe foods. My plan is to stick to those foods and get enough calories through those and hopefully with the right prebiotics, not sure if probiotics will help me. I'll try phgg and then gluconannan and see if either help me to restore full function. I'm enjoying the videos and I'll see what else I can learn. Thank you.
hey - I have the same issue. I am underweight due to SIBO and probably dont eat enough calories. Did the increase in calories help you at all with your sibo ?
I've actually been losing hair since Sep 2021 since I started taking Nutrafol. I couldn't figure out what Nutrafol has done with my body. That vitamin contains Ashwaghanda and I have gut dysbiosis and ANA is positive, but no immune diseases. Would Ashwaghanda harm my immunity ?
Not sure but sulfur (assuming you don't have a deficiency) and silica can help your hair growth and quality. And rosemary oil has been shown effect as some of the hair drugs and thin hair can be low iodine
I think Covid had a lot to do with the hair loss as well. I and several other women I know, all lost a lot of hair around 2020. It seems to be a common theme.
I have a fear of drinking lactulose. Is that silly? I don't like drinking weird artificial stuff and am concerned that it will make me feel crappier. After listening to you for a bit I am kind of feeling like it's not even worth doing the SIBO breath test. Was planning to do the TrioSmart but would rather just skip it. As I've said the Food Marble Aire 2 is reading al methane, sometimes as high as 8.9 but also sometimes (usually o.k. or low) even when I am in the midst of awful bloating. I had food poisoning that almost killed me, or so it seemed, about 10 years ago, from improperly cured smoked salmon. I was sick with a high fever and vomiting and diarrhea for at least a week. I didn't go to the doctor just stayed hydrated and rode it out. Could that have set the stage for trouble that would have manifested years (7 yrs. ) later? As yes I feel "doomed and alone" lol. YOU are helping me to feel hopeful and not alone. I truly appreciate it.
I feel the same way you do about drinking weird stuff. Dr Pimentel, SIBO expert, said food poisoning is the most common cause of SIBO. I think my bloating began with stress. I also skipped the SIBO test. I read it is not that accurate. I just assume I have SIBO and am following the SIBO diet. Just want to eliminate bloating and constipation. I increased my daily activity and am doing belly massage and yoga poses to stimulate motility. I read slow motility is a big contributor to SIBO.
Needed to hear this. Most Redditors say I need my root cause sussed. Don't have a clue and that's not going to change soon 🙃 enjoying your videos I like how you explain things. Started carnivore at weekend and sleeping horribly lol.😢😅 I got this...🥲 maybe....

what if someone sleeps 12 hours a night and it’s not enough?
I would absolutely refer for a sleep study. This is sleep disordered breathing until proven otherwise.

Why having sibo? Bile is the one who kills it on small intestine so your bile is not working properly for sure so make your liver super healthy
