      JMO I’m just a person with SIBO not a doctor!
      The elemental is packages powder you mix. It is very expensive. A few years ago it was $750 & tastes horrible but can be tolerated if your not hypoglycemic.
      Rifaxamin at the time was $2,200 a bottle
      Bit SIBO is major and can cause so many health issues you don’t want to mess around with it
      I cannot tolerate a lot of things and I e had reaffirming SIBO for 4 years. My underlying cause was Lyme disease but I still have that also. I believe doctors should check for anything abstracting the digestive system.
      Heading back to the doctor today as I’m bed ridden again and really sick!
      One thing he didn’t mention is the lack of absorption of nutrients and this has been critical for me and last hospital stay was 8 days.
      Be diligent and get a good doctor who actually cares as this has not been a fun road

    I suffered from IBS, ulcers from h pylori, gallbladder attacks, black tarry stools, so many stomach issues. I tried everything known to man. Nothing helped and most suggestions and meditation made me 100% worse. Antibiotics, probiotics, omeprazole, fermented foods, all wrecked my guts terribly. I was begging to die because the pain was so severe and nothing was helping. Then, I decided to try mastic gum after reading a lot about it helping others. I took 1000mg every morning on an empty stomach. Then I switched to a 100% animal based diet. Zero sugar, zero carbs. When I ate my meals I took papaya enzymes. 1 before, 1 during and 1 after. I tried not to eat past 5pm. Usually it was 3pm and I fasted until about 11am. In 3 months not only did my ulcer heal, I stopped having gallbladder attacks.
    After a year on carnivore, I decided to splurge on my birthday. Then I fell off the wagon. Gained all my weight back that I had lost, but my stomach is still healed. I just started back on carnivore because I felt so much better on that way of eating. God bless to all suffering. It’s no joke having terrible stomach issues.

    Something that is often overlooked is fixing the underlying problem that lead to SIBO. As an example, is if someone isn’t producing enough hydrochloric acid (HCL), the SIBO will continuously come back. Loose stools with positive SIBO often can be a cause of low bile flow. Hard stools/constipation + SIBO diagnosis can be a sign of poor HCL production. Taking TUDCA or Green Beet leaf powder can thin the bile to allow it to flow more freely. Just my two cents.

      @@joy-lv2xhusually with sibo, we have low acid because we can't tolerate it, is my guess. You can fix your hcl issue by fixing the main cause of sibo, which is a slow working migrating motor complex. If you take ginger and artichoke supplements, you can take care of both hcl, and migrating motor complex, and it's the most inexpensive way to fix it.

      @@joy-lv2xh I guess it would depend on where you have your ulcer. Ginger can increase your hcl levels, and are good for ulcers in small quantities.

      You were likely still eating food that caused you inflammation. A food sensitivity test helps or an all meat diet. But one can be sensitive to beef for instance. I am surprised there is no mention of mould toxicity related to sibo and our leaky bodies. I have been helping people heal there leaky eyes, nose, brain, gut, lungs, pelvis, colon, nipples, and muscles to which I have all leaky body parts. Leaky muscle has a 1-2 year life span but as a holistic energy healer and personal trainer since the 80's I am healing my body. Thank you for this valuable information for my tribe. I am deeply grateful for the work you do and share. As a vegan, my primary protein source has been nuts and my ears perked up when you mentioned mould can be on the nuts as well. My body had had symptoms of toxic mould since I was born, having tonsils removed when I was 6 months old in 1967 because I was getting sick all the time. My mom had the same symptoms. When I knew I had leaky muscle I started a 1/4 tsp of baking soda while doing longer fasts and a low fob map diet and did it for 2 months - I read we shouldn't do it more than 2 weeks. So I stopped and I began to get worse. I have rifaximin but I have never taken antibiotics in my life or medicine choosing holistic ways instead. I will be starting activated charcoal next for 30 days. I am very worried about taking rifaximin and destroying the good bugs along with the bad bugs. May I ask why you didn't mention l-reuteri for the probiotics? I loved what you said about paying attention to how we feel. I am feeling amazing. Being out of the home filled with mould is a blessing. Thank you again, in loving kindness from Canada's Capital.

Most of the yeast in the capsules is affected by the heat since most companies store it hot warehouses. By created your own, you'll get a high amount of SB which is great to help with Candida and parasites. Google Dr. William Davis & apple cider & Florastor. He has a TH-cam video on this I believe. Just remove everything and anything that can cause inflammation and feed any kind of microbes or bacteria or candida. Get a food sensitivity test if you can afford it if not try eating just meat for six weeks and see if you begin to heal. Meat tends to cause the least amount of inflamation in the gut. And the only way the guts going to heal is in the absence of reoccurring inflammation. And the only way a gut infection like Candida is going to die off is if you remove all the food eats. As far as I know there’s no microbe or candida or whatever that eats meat. It’ll take about four months typically. When you start feeling a lot better that would be a safe time to add probiotics. Though you can explore using them before that. Consuming healing supplements for the gut is good like glutamine.
    Use Meat as medicine. It’s only temporary. When all else fails this is a great protocol.

It's always bcz of diet, inflammation, oestrogen but it's scary as the pain is debilitating and nothing helps. Ppl eventually end up having partial or full hysterectomy for relief. If it is Andomiosis I'm probably going to ask for a partial hysterectomy bcz there's no other symptom relief. I'm fed up & I've no quality of life.

      I'm going to try the probiotics that Dr Rusco recommends. But I had the scopes but they showed nothing.
      They did find I had A bulky uterus- Andamiosis. When I'm on my monthly cycle my gastrointestinal symptoms get worse. I watched videos on here about this condition & apparently this co diction causes inflammation, affects your microbiome & you get sibo, constipation, pressure, bloating gas, brain fog, joint pain etc I've had a ultrasound scan & my uterus has gotten thicker so I'm having a hystrocopy? to have a look inside. If it is this condition then I'm looking to have a partial or full hysterectomy bcz I don't think I can survive any longer with the sharp pains, pressure, not been able to eat & severe constipation x

    Isn't motility key to the whole thing? If MMC has gotten reduced function, from mold, food poisoning, or any number of other reasons. The bacteria begin migrating from the colon up to the small intestine. Which in turn leads to an overgrowth. I'd assume that getting this piece back would make everything else easier, and possibly reduce the need for a kill phase for many. Unless there is severe overgrowth or biofilms from SIFO as well.
    Curious about your thoughts on this 😊🙏🏻 be well!

    Very good information overall however I want to point out that it highly depends on the severity of the SIBO. Probiotics and Diet alone will not clear a severe case of SIBO, and people should definitely test to figure out where they are at on the spectrum (and which type they have). My numbers on the LBT were > 400 so clearly not a 1-round treatment type of situation. Good advice for mild SIBO nonetheless.

    • @rhondaberkowitz9656
      @rhondaberkowitz9656 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, this info given is way to simplified! The Dr (if educated enough) needs to know if it is only hydrogen that is elevated, and/or methane *and/or hydrogen sulfide which only the 'trio smart' can test for. Based on this, as to antibiotics, one might need only Rifaximin - or that combined with either neomycin or metronidazole - or bismuth in addition as well if it is hydrogen sulfide that is elevated. One must do some self-educating through the premier SIBO researcher in the world, Dr. Mark Pimental. See his most recent youtube webinars.
      Also, there is now a diagnostic blood test for IBS: 'IBS Smart Test' that can actually diagnose IBS and distinguish an IBS diagnosis from IBD. Again, see Dr. Pimental's intense research although he explains it in ways normal humans can understand.

I do appreciate what he has done for getting SIBO / IMO out there, but as is often the case, the focus is too much on IBS-D, and the diet he proposes doesn't work, at least not for me and my IMO. Low FODMAP is the only one that actually works for my gut issues (I ate some high fodmap fruit the other day, and boy, did I pay for it with the gut pain and bloating that went on and on for so long).

      Try, Carnivore, I have Sibo, and after a few months BO either completely goes away for most people, or it will just be very mild. Also EO Nutrition has videos on Sibo, he recommends B1 ,B5, CDP Choline to treat sibo, so far it's really helping me, my lower tummy puffyness is almost completely gone, something even a year of Carnivore couldn't do, even 4 months lion diet couldn't do it, so it's really working, and I recommend you try, after watching the videos you're self.

      sadly i have motility issues and i do incorporate red meat & meats in general but they give me colon spasms/constipation so considering I can't eat it too frequently, going carnivore might kill my gut instead aha. thank you tho!@@connorjoe6700

    I was prescribed antibiotics for SIBO, and also told to follow a low FODMAP diet. Which I’ve done. I definitely learned some trigger foods for my IBS! Like you my GI dr also suggested probiotics. Unfortunately I can’t afford the probiotic supplements. Can you recommend any whole food based probiotics that might help?

    Great video! super pleasant rythm, very well explained, and thorough information. I will follow your advice. One question, related to the topic of not being worth it sometimes to follow the "root cause", is there any research or personal evidence about possible hipocloridia as a cause and improvements Betaine HCL supplementation?

    • @DrRuscioDC
      @DrRuscioDC  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much. Here's our advice and guidance on HCL: drruscio.com/betaine-hcl/. Our article cites some current research on hypochlorhydria as a potential cause and risk factor, but it's a difficult condition to accurately identify (lab tests are limited in more ways than one). Taking HCL and monitoring your response is one potential way to assess if low stomach acid is fueling your SIBO.

    I don't see the point with the fodmap diet. Starch and glucose are not fodmaps but just as bad. Easier to skip the carbs entirely or as much as you can. Don't eat any vegetables, sugar and grains for a while. Only meat and fat.

    I'm thinking that finding the root cause could be helpful for making it more real in my head so that I CAN stick to those more holistic approaches. What do you think? I think for me, if I don't know more definitively I have something, I may slack at times on lifestyle changes that could help it.

    I've had ulcerative colitis for years and h . Pylori. Been on steroids and nsaids for years to ease symptoms. Nothing really worked until I started intermittent fasting and drinking loads of water with acv in. Sugar is the driver for most gut issues and I've been a greedy pig eating a lot of refinedcarbs and drinking lots of beer and soon as I cut the out my gut issues stopped. The modern diet is killing our bodies particularly gut health and feeding the bad guys. Before a meal eat something bitter like radishes and sip lemon water this will active the bile which is essential for digestion. Hope this helps someone. 😊

    Thanks for the info in detail. So, when you say we can start with prebiotic and then add antibiotics gradually and see the results in a few months. My question is, is this solution temporary, or is it a permanent solution?

    I like the video and it explains a lot. I think I can manage this pretty well. However, Once you got to the rifaxmin antibiotics. I know antibiotics can help, especially while taking probiotics. However, what if you cannot get a prescription from a doctor because test results show you do not have SIBO. Doctors will not give you the medication. What do we do?

      Try Swanson "SBO" soil based and L. Reuteri Plus. Take the spore in am and L. Reuteri at bed. Helped me. Second or third month do the spore and S. Boulardii. Consider prebiotics before each meal, will greatly help. Research Artichoke, Mastic Gum. Consider a tea daily of Throat Coat with Slippery Elm (many ingredients promote gut health). I do all of this on and off.

    Hiii HELOOO I NEED UR HELP! the doctors in LA don't care! As you can see from my photo I'm an athlete and now for 3 months I have been struggling with possibly SIBO. My belly looks like 4 months pregnant woman's belly 90% of time even tho my fat % is 16. Anyway the doctors did labs and saying I don't have parasites and my blood work is perfect. However I feel so tired and depressed and dry skin with bloating.. Waited 3 months to see a doctor and he blamed it on birth control that I drink for PSOC. No one is willing to help and I am trying fodmap diet but I am not feeling any better. I think because I can't eat any lactic products so my protein intake has been very low. Can I take probiotics? I was told not to. Any other advice?

    • @fathelos
      @fathelos 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not an athlete, but similarly a person that does a lot of sport (strength training + Hip Hop classes + jogging and more) and keep myself very fit and healthy. Same situation - I look fcking pregnant and I've lost weight and my strength cannot compare at all. I used to carry 15 kg bag for 3 people worth of food up mountains for days without ever getting tired, now I can barely climb it without luggage.... It is depressing and frustrating. I cannot consume enough calories because my body just diarrheas it out.
      I am on week 2 of Low FODMAP and going to get Probiotics and also Magnesium (as per Dr. Will Bulsiewicz) and hopefully it helps. Getting very desperate after being fed all kinds of drugs, doing all kinds of tests and my whole life being ruined because of this thing for 8 months now.

      @fathelos so is the probiotics help? What brand/type are u drinking? If u have diharea u might have hydrogen sibo. I went to Germany to get checked and they said only meds really helpful is rifximin so I yet have to try it. (Also that's cool I also so Hip hop lol)

    • @fathelos
      @fathelos 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@salvisilver1196 I ordered Ultimate Probiotic because it seems to contain all 3 probiotic types recommended in the video - Soil-based, lacto-bifido blend and saccharomyces boulardii, and it's a total of 100 billion CFU so it should cover the recommended values here. It should arrive in 10 days or so, so I have yet to try it.
      It will be really hard to get doctors to give me antibiotics here, they really like giving me different sets of lactobifido probiotics with anti-gas drugs, and other symptom treatments, but are very convinced that my problem is psychosomathic - it is not, I work a really stress free and relaxing and fun life, with few but very high-quality relationships (1 caring GF and 1 kind friend). And so I am trying everything else I can - exhausting and documenting the options I've tried so that if it doesn't work I can slap that in their face and say - just shut up and give me Rifaximin.
