I’m loving the tutorials, they’re so helpful but I also think It would be great to watch plain skating, cruisin’ and vibin’ videos you know? I miss those T _ T
Even if it’s going to store or rolling up and down the street... yeah? I want everybody to be safe tho so if that’s really not an option rn, it’s okay 🥰
Júlia Caetano from what I understand Indy is the sole person fulfilling orders in the shop so she’s been flooded with work (so many people are trying to get their hands on roller skates haha!) which leave less time to record videos
I've been skating my local hilly street during lockdown and it's been killing me going up! I hadn't even thought to use my toe stops, what a game changer! I flew up the hill after watching this using a mix of striding and toe stop pushes! Thank you Debs! 😍😘
You are so graceful, it’s like the wheels are extensions of your feet! I’m new to skating (a week) and I’m so scared I’m gonna break a bone! The road to learning a new hobby at 37 rough. But I’m committed and excited to get to a point where I’m enjoying it more than focusing on not dying!
Yep, the zig zag approach is the one...always worked for me on steep slopes, my downhill approach is very different, go as fast as possible, in a speed skating crouch, crash gloved hands out and ready and try to achieve maximum possible speed letting gravity do all the work, like downhill ski-ing, and enjoy the adrenalin rush.
I was finally able to order my first pair of roller skates this week because I’ve been wanting to get into it for a few years. My apartment is on top of a steep hill so this video is the first one I watched 😭
Thanks for toe stop using advise.I never use it up hill.I use it on rough surface. It is like reverse moonwalk. If I want to go fast I use classic rollerskating combine with front crossovers. Its not so safe but its fast.I finally learn today on one leg u turn on left leg.I know it long time ago only on right.I am right handed and legs too.I learned spread eagle fist clockwise too. Thanks again for your videos.
Thank you for this once again it’s how I learned to skate now I can jump go up stairs and now I’m going to try up hill because I always rolle back down is not the best:)
Now I love watching Dirty Deb and everyone else featured here but.... I miss seeing Indy and Pigeon!! I love watching these tutorials and I can't wait to be a better skater. Someday
what type of wheels do you have on your skates and what's the hardness? I usually skate indoor with a 62mm 98a but need some outdoor wheels and dont wont them toooooo big
Hi! I love this acc and I just ordered my first pair of skates! I also ordered a helmet and pads of course! Anything else I NEED to buy? I see some people in high socks is that needed? Do I absolutely need a adjusting tool at first? Thank you ! Stay safe during this time!
Hi! Obviously not Indy/Deb but I definitely recommend getting taller socks, depending on what kind you got, but they help reduce any blisters/friction when you're breaking in the skates
Ok I know this is nothing about the video but I’m saving up for my first pair of skates and I want one that cheap because im 11 and I’m wondering if I should get Candi girl skates or impala skates. If you see this it will be a good help 😆 . And if you were wondering why don’t I get beach bunny or anything like that is because I have no money 😅😂😂😂 And love your vids and your channel
i fell with my rollerskates this saturday and now i can't walk so next time i better wear some protection 😂😂😂 anyways, i love you and the skating community and y'all have already tought me a lot! eventhough i've only been rollerskating for 2 weeks :)
im getting my own skates soon, and i've been watching tutorials religiously,,, but then i realized i'll need to go out,, and practice,,, and look like a fool,,,, yeah you know what i think i'll let the delay take its time- living vicariously is nice right now👁👄👁
I recommend finding an empty tennis/basketball court! I just got back on skates after years and that's where I started :) also people have been super nice/cheering me on! They love seeing rollerskates for some reason
I think rollerskates are less maneuverable than inlines when you're just starting, but a whole lot more comfortable, you forget you're even wearing them half the time. They (quads) feel really stable and absorb your landings a lot better. You also put more effort into skating fast on rollerskates when you first start compared to inlines. I hope that explains how they differentaite from inlines and how they feel😁
Guys I get my first roller skates today I was so excited and stuff. I am a very tall girl and my skates are hUge like REALLY HUGE and when i wear them i immediately freak out and I CAN'T STAND STILL FOR GOD'S SAKE Its really hard ToT Because of quarantine I try to practice at home and it's even hArdEr goD any tips you can give me pls I reAlly WaNna sKate n StuFf aNd I CanT T0T
Anybody can tell me like what wheels and details about wheels I should get for outdoors because most skates I find have plastic wheels for indoors I’m trying to get into skating
Phoenixfairy84 for outdoors you can get gummy wheels that are meant for outdoor skating. Some good wheels I recommend would be the moxi gummy wheels. They come in cute colors and it makes a difference in skating outdoors.
Me skating today: *scissor* I'm doing great! *scissor* this is awesome! *left bubble* I am doing the thing! *right bubble* I look so cool! Me realizing that was a false flat and now I have a huge hill to climb on the way back: *PUSH* I'm gonna die! *PUSH* Why did I do this to myself?! *WHEEZE*
Deb is one of the best instructors - ever!
Kirsten M exactly!!
agreed
I love the little kid in the background practicing for park skating haha
Ah, the pain of living in a place with almost no flat areas :(
I think about 90% of our roads are at a big incline! Even parking lots!
I feel with you... I'm living in a village with to opinions: downhill or uphill. It is so annoying...
Me just the other day: *struggles to get up even a slight incline*
Indy and Deb: 👁👄👁

Instablaster...
i'm watching this literally right after skating up and down hills for an hour
I love how she gives such detailed tutorials. All the way down to which side of the skate to put your weight on.
I love her tutorials. I literally put on my Bluetooth headphones and skate to her voice on the vids. Best teacher ever! Thanks Deb❤️🤗
Skating up hill seriously builds up those thighs baby !!!!
It sure does!

"omg should i quit??? noo!! i've got options!!!"hahahah i love you so much!!

did she call her stomach the "snack area?" I love it!
Bahaha

I live on a massive hill and i always take my skates off to go back up
Such a great teacher!

Imagine how tired Dirty is after going up and down a million times
This so satisfying to watch
me: I wish there was a video on how to go uphill-
The planetrollerskate queens, Indy and Deb: *So today I will be showing you how to skate uphill*
Love Dirty Deb always!
Dirty Deb I love you!!! Also I've been skating outside almost everyday since roller derby has been cancelled
I love collaboration videos between Planet Roller Skate and Dirty Deb!
great explanation of edges!
Anyone notice the skater lurking in the background
Watching to figure out how she flies up the hill so gracefully lol
I needed this an hour earlier! I was struggling so much!
the way she just casually standing still
I wish there was a channel as good and fun and informative as yours but for rollerblading
Rabia Akın I just gave up on looking and bought a pair of Lollys a week after I finally got my blades 😫
@@vynnessaalease Oh noo but I think rollerskating is more fun anyways so good luck😊 🍀

Wow I literally just learned a lot with this
what type of wheels do you have on your skates and what's the hardness? I usually skate indoor with a 62mm 98a but need some outdoor wheels and dont wont them toooooo big
78a is typically the softest. The moxi outdoor wheels are great
I think a tool is very important because you won't enjoy your skates really if your wheels are not rolling at all 😊
Love you indy I think I watch your videos everyday
There's a small skater learning to hop at the background!
Thank you from NC!!
Has anyone pre ordered skates from PRS and received them already ? How long did it take ?
Omg thank you !!!! I needed an uphill skate tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
Love you Deb ♥️♥️♥️♥️
You make skating look so easy! XD
Wow you really train well dearest
I love these tutorials
Thank you. I've been forcing myself up. Uphill is easier than downhill.
can you please make a video on dropping in with skates? I'm terrified!
