I really enjoy your tutorials, although I‘m still going to take my skates off for steep hills for now. I had a really bad fall going downhill too fast and almost getting hit by traffic when I was 12 or so, so I think I will stick to jam skating and flat surfaces for now. ^^

Just got a pair of sure-grip skates. Haven't had a pair of quads since I was a kid. Excited to do it again. This time I want to do it better. Wasn't that great at it but always loved it and your videos are so helpful.

Thank you for this! im going to put this into practice the next time i go to the rink that has a hill. When going down it i always gain speed especially with roller bone bearings and roller bone wheels.
You can walk up steps in a v-shape. Or using the t- stop formation.
When you are going uphill you can do so using the v-shape alternating your weight with the lead foot.

On Christmas I got skates and I was so excited to go outside because there was no snow. Since then there's been like three feet of snow on the ground. I've been skating in my basement instead and now I'm scared to go outside so this will help for when I can go. Im one of the many people you got on skates ❤

i just inherited a pair of skates and went for an outdoor skate for the first time yesterday….i definitely have a lot to learn lol. 😅 i will be practicing the pizza stop and this C-turn before i go back out!

I'm 48 haven't skate since my daughter was 14yrs old and before thatci was younger than her. I fell twice and bought skates last week can't wait to be outside 😅. U can do it 😊

First of all, I adore you! Does this technique have a nickname (other than like downhill heely manual C's, or river leaf skate skiing)?? 😆
how do you know what outdoor wheels are? I bought a pair second hand and i’m not sure if the wheels are meant for indoor or outdoor, i’m new to skating!
What kind of outdoor wheels do you have on your skates?
Can you use this same “C” move to transition? Seems like it would sense, and I am having such a hard time with transitions but I can sort of do this “C” carving move.
I am using your videos to relearn how to skate ( it’s been 30 years) and teach my kids how to skate. But when I was a kid, I was one of those that you couldn’t get my skates off me and the way I went up and down the stairs without a hand rail was to go sideways so that your skates are neither pointing up nor down but sideways, and then just take one step at a time bring both feet together, and then take the next step. But by pointing your state sideways, you’re not going to slip downstairs unexpectedly.  So it’s kind a like you are line dancing and you step to the right-up and then feet together! step to the right-up, feet together. Step to the right-up, feet together until you get to the top of the stairs. And no shame in using the wall in front of you as a handrail.
How are you actually turning on the weighted foot? Is it just weight/leaning? I can't seem to ever go any way but straight!!

How do i know if my weels are outdoor weels?
Stepping up sideways on the stairs facing the rail is sometimes more secure.

Do you use regular toe stops or jam plugs when skating outside?
Toe stops when I am travel skating, meaning if I am going to be going over crosswalks, stairs etc. If none of that and I am just flowing? Jam plugs
Do outside wheels help skate faster on concrete as well?
Because I’m skating on these midrange type wheels on the trail and I loosened the wheels but its kinda slow outside

Yes depending on the ground it just might be a little slippy.🫶🏾
