Lele and I hit the streets to hunt for a rental property to move to in Jomtien, Pattaya Thailand, once we've vacated our current house!

The neighbor likes it nice and quiet, he doesn’t want any parties so when he sees the realtor showing the house to a younger couple he makes sure he goes over and points out that there’s no kitchen and any other flaws he can think of,…lol

It looks like Lele's house is almost ready to rent. It looks good. The 2nd house you looked at is probably the better place to rent, even if it is a little more expensive.

Love your vids guys. You're bang on about good insulation. Patio/front of the house should face north for shade all day. Also be sure the air conditioning units are inverter, not single speed. Inverter units, provided they are sized properly for the space give you a constant temperature/set temperature. Single speed units cost a fortune to run, because they cut in and out. Which also gives you uneven space temperature.
Condos win in that department as it costs very little to live in comfort as sun exposure is limited to one external wall if you're condo faces north

Following this as we will be looking to get out of the condo and finding a house near Jomtien soon, fingers crossed
Like in all of Asia the women do more than their fair share of heavy lifting. Wheel-barrowing concrete, jack-hammering tiles, cutting metal. Respect.
She works twice as hard and fast as the men!!
Great video. I really like the exposure you give that area. I hit up Pattaya earlier this year and it wasn't for me, but your videos are making me reconsider the surrounding areas more for next time. Anyhow, hope the new rental is great! Good videos....

Hi Sam & Lovely LeLe, there is some great houses with pool in Bang Saray fairly cheap, but I can see we’re you coming from. I will coming back to Thailand early after my unfortunate return home due my beloved sister passing away also my self getting very sick ended up in hospital for 10 days. Hope to catch up with both of you for lunch/dinner.

So a large portion of the indoor tiles were cracked!! And I mean smasheddddd.
Surprise surprise, they weren’t laid right upon initial build and they’d moved and warped. Laid properly this time around :)

Back at View Talay I was paying 3800-4000baht a month for a small studio (old aircon) 😳😳🤦🏼♂️
For a nomad I think paying 15000 fully furnished is better than 12000 unfurnished. Unless you've got the furnitures fridge tv etc. it's green but U can ask the owner to repaint it if U rent for a year😂. How much is Lily's villa going for a month rental? Is electricity govt rate ?
As a foreigner I would prefer fully furnished modern style or mix. The things we can do without I hope we can ask the owner to move it out. Good luck house hunting Sam and Lily.

Sam you need to get on Line again and ask Adam for my contact 😂 I’m awaiting the condos pro and cons but let’s be honest tiny verse big make a massive difference in how you feel and that if your there a lot it makes sense to have a larger places especially as you can host people there too, it’s like double up income really…
You'll get spiders the size of kangaroo's living in there.
Much better than a condo and the exact thing I will be looking out for when I arrive in May.

Tried walkabout but it didn’t bear fruit this time. Lele used Facebook marketplace and found all these listings I couldn’t find in English!

Ahhh if I knew you were involved with renting villas, I was looking to rent in June for a month, maybe 6 weeks but couldn't seem to find anything,. I'm flying from Ireland, booked a condo would've loved a villa.

Why not look at some of the older condo buildings. Large in size and thick concrete block walls. I just relocated from a house to an older condo “Pattaya Tai Center Condo”. 12,000 a month. Fully renovated,52 sq M. Ocean view, European style kitchen (oven), hot water in all faucets, pillow top mattress, smart Tv, my 1st electric bill 768 baht, water 160 baht, swimming pool, gym, currently remodeling a new sauna, security. And basically never need to drive my car cuz of the location. I agree the newer 30 sq M condo’s are not worth it. But you can find some gems in the older buildings.

Not sure which one you picked. Totally get the idea of a home over a condo. The renovations are coming along well. Yes I’ll be in Hua hin for songkran but will try to avoid the festivities - I don’t really like getting water sprayed in my face.

I travel a lot so a condo makes sense for me. What ever fits your lifestyle
I am 66 and live in Hua Hin, really fun to see a little bit from Pattaya and what you and your girlfriend are up to.
I go to Pattaya 2-3 times per year for tennis tournament at Royal cliff, I never find anything more then where we stay and the tennis courts but maybe I will find more things to do because of you're channel
