    On Nut was the first place I lived at in Thailand. It was a fairly long motorcike taxi away from the Sky Train. Maybe five minutes. The rent was a lot cheaper than $250. It was somewhere around 4000 Baht per month. I ended up moving to an apartment on Lang Suan Rd about six months later. It was 7000 Baht per month and had air conditioning. Excellent location. @@LivingOverseasTV You're welcome. I lived there a long time ago. Prices have changed. The Lang Suan Rd apartment no longer exists. It's been replaced with giant buildings. I watched at least four high rises go up when I lived there. This probably has not changed though. Find the area you would like to live and walk through it looking for rental apartments. Do it with a TRUSTED Thai friend. Have your friend inquire about prices. You will probably get a better deal that way, Once you know the price, go back to the apartment with your friend and have them interpret the lease agreement for you and sign it. This worked very well for me. It probably still works today. P.S. The Lang Suan Rd apartment was within walking distance to the AUA Language Center They had a great course for learning Thai back in the day. It was fun and well worth your time. The place still exists, which is amazing! 179 Ratchadamri Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand 🙂 www.auathailand.org/en/

    The apartment looked perfect and I also liked the area.
    I like how they have wide steps into the pool.
    Prices how changed since I was there a long time ago but still pretty reasonable.
    Hopefully I can spend a month or 2 after I finish raising my son.

      You should I know I am in about six months. I paid $2000 for my condo in Atlanta. You can find a nice flat there for $500 a month you can live off of $1200 a month.

    The place around the 2 minute mark near the coffee shop is where I got the worst food poisoning in my life. I was puking outside my hotel for 2 hours. (I had just checked out and trying to move to the next hotel) I couldn't eat for 3 days. Be careful guys.

    • @alvinjohnson2402
      @alvinjohnson2402 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Did you acclimate yourself for 3 days first before eating local food? Your body needs time to accept the harsh bacteria there. I lived in Thailand for 4 years (worked at the Shangri-La hotels) You must get a shot before you arrive, OR the poor man's prep: eat yogurt or take acidophilus for 2 days while eating "well-cooked" Thai food! The most you will get is slight diarrhea for a day. But if you just arrive and go out to eat you WILL pay the price.

    • @olayinkaoyo

      @alvinjohnson2402 Thanks so much for the acclimation advice. I’m saving your points to my notes.📝 @Runeblade484 Yikes! Sounds awful. I’m sorry that happened to you.

    I've been in Bangkok for the first time nearly a week now.
    Is it easy to rent an apartment for a month? Doesn't have to be minimum 6 like UK? I'm moving around Thailand. However I like the idea of renting an apartment like this and using nice gym nearby, and the pool is great.
    Again, Ying is so cute where did you meet her. If I move to Thailand id like to meet a girl like her, who wouldn't!
