I spent months living in On Nut - a great place to live, good food nearby, not too busy and quieter. Loved it!
Hello my friend, I am thinking to go to Bangkok at the end of this years, would you recommend to try find a place in On Nut? I would like to find something not so expensive in a good place. Thanks for your help!
@JohnSkyLey, Thanks for watching and taking the time to share your personal experience.
@@LivingOverseasTVcould you tell me the condominium that ying rents as that meets my budget while the fact it's a local favorite. I would be happy residing at that location. I'm 59 years old on a budget. Thank you
Danke für Ihr Video. Ein wundervoller Beitrag 👍 Können Sie die Adresse der Apartments nennen?
When checking out condo prices in Thailand, always ask the unit per baht price for water and electric. Many places offer cheap rent and get you with the high amenity bills.
@carlanthonyholmes2162, That is a great tip. I should have included that information in the video. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
This. I have been quoted "this is the government rate" from 6 different landlords and they all said something different. Some said as low as 4, others claimed it was 12 baht :D
@@musumeci88 4 is the government rate, the average rate is 8, 12 is extortionate
$250 ?!! Gosh for the price I was paying for a studio apartment with 2 other people back in 2002. Mind blowing that there are still prices like that in 2024.
Can u rent it for 15 days
Can I rent it for just one month or have to sign a year’s lease?
Thats because BK is a renters markets thanks to the high-rises all over the city
@@janetgreen2550 - curious if anyone has an answer for this. If they say $250 that could be an avg. but with a 1 year committment.
@@thesaini 1 year, usually 25% increase for 6months something like that, monthly maybe 50-100% increase but that puts legal implications on the owner providing short stay accommodation without a licence.
Thank you so much Jim 😊 for having me joining your video 🙏
Thanks Ying, that was a cool little tour.

Typical normal Thai woman

I really like how you went more in-depth with the neighborhood tour. It gives a nice overview in addition to the apartment details. It was nice to see some specific meal prices, too. Thanks!

Wow, the gym is amazingly awesome & so big with so much different equipment & options to join classes 🏋♀️💪
That flat would be £1800 in London. I think it's time to leave.

What a cool area. I love how laid back it is and all the food options. I’m definitely going to stay in On Nut my next trip.
I just love Bangkok and Thailand in general.
Nice. I often stay in that area. Very nice and affordable district with easy access to the BTS when needed.
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to make this very informative video. Where are these type of apartments listed?
Beautiful area! I’m into motorcycles and would love to travel that country!!❤

Informative and simple making it beneficial
Glad you liked it
I had so many massages and reflexology and pedicures-everything I needed. Minding my ASIAN BUSINESS!
The apartment looked perfect and I also liked the area.
I like how they have wide steps into the pool.
Prices how changed since I was there a long time ago but still pretty reasonable.
Hopefully I can spend a month or 2 after I finish raising my son.
Great value can be found in Thailand compared with other countries in S.E. Asia. Love it!
Great overall video
Glad you enjoyed it
Yes Brilliant. I want to move there!

@@LivingOverseasTV hlo can you give me address on this condo?plis
I lived in Bangkok for one year, I stayed close to Silom and paid about 300 USD a month with a pool and a gym. This was back in 2015, great time. I miss it.
Thank you for these videos. I know nothing about Thailand, so they are a good starting springboard.

Nice Video...and Ying is Gorgeous, and she speaks Excellent English! Maybe you can show us some of the places that are next to the BTS, and maybe some of the larger 2 and 3 bedroom units.
That's pretty good for rent awesome actually
You are professional.

Great life
Sir please include google maps to show were and how far between these apartments, groccery store, train, etc from each others. That help HUGE and be even more better then youtubers that dont.
That's your homework. He has sone enough!
That's an awesome gym

@TG-hf1gx, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
I love Thailand and the food but I think merchants need to replace all those plastic straws and cups with something biodegradable. $250 is what I spend a night at the go go bars.
It would be a luxury living there, as we don't normally have pools in Europe. Both for the weather and its also expensive. Beautiful
1:44 matchmaking!
I'm glad to know that they are still affordable places to live in Bangkok. I like small places. My favorite is tiny homes.😂😂😂
@lisaelliott3246, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I'm now very comfortable in a place this size.
Yes I had a lot of fobs for doors in my apartment
Good content! I like all the prices! Great feature. Lets be honest, the prices are interesting! Also, 2k baht per month for the gym is about $50. If my conversion is right. Anyways, thanks!
Shrimp omelet WOW! 🤠
@KhrisOsaurusTTV, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
Even for us who have been to and staying at On Nut, a map would have been helpfull. Its also worth mentioning that the traffic along Sukhumvit road is intens with high levels of ground level ozone. IMHO
Absolutely wonderful place , so does she do the leasing , or can she refer......... great video
I’m seriously considering a move to Thailand next year. At least for a few years.
I'll rent two apartment or maybe three. One apartment for each of my sons, and one for myself and my wife. Pretty good!
ying is such a nice person
@realglobalcitizen, Yes sshe is. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
The lies I been told about Bangkok, wow totally doable. Thank you for this information
It's the same in Sweden, a studio or 1 bed flat in between 30-60 square meters
Great vid, your English is better than most English people
On Nut was the first place I lived at in Thailand. It was a fairly long motorcike taxi away from the Sky Train. Maybe five minutes. The rent was a lot cheaper than $250. It was somewhere around 4000 Baht per month. I ended up moving to an apartment on Lang Suan Rd about six months later. It was 7000 Baht per month and had air conditioning. Excellent location. A short walk to either Chit Lom or Ratchadamri Station.
@posterlion, Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on your personal experience. I'm sure people will find it helpful.
@@LivingOverseasTV You're welcome. I lived there a long time ago. Prices have changed. The Lang Suan Rd apartment no longer exists. It's been replaced with giant buildings. I watched at least four high rises go up when I lived there. This probably has not changed though. Find the area you would like to live and walk through it looking for rental apartments. Do it with a TRUSTED Thai friend. Have your friend inquire about prices. You will probably get a better deal that way, Once you know the price, go back to the apartment with your friend and have them interpret the lease agreement for you and sign it. This worked very well for me. It probably still works today. P.S. The Lang Suan Rd apartment was within walking distance to the AUA Language Center They had a great course for learning Thai back in the day. It was fun and well worth your time. The place still exists, which is amazing! 179 Ratchadamri Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand 🙂 www.auathailand.org/en/
P.S. #2 🙂I found my old street on Google Maps: Soi Mahatlek Luang 1 Alley. Maybe my old building still exists!
She speaks excellent english
Cool tour! Do you ever do tours in Chiang Mai?
Exspensive..i have been living in Thailand for 16 years.. believe me the same sort of condo are 7k baht ...
I was their in January
Pretty cool if you enjoy a hedonistic lifestyle! But who has the time and money to bask in such beautiful surroundings? Glad there are places like this for people to dream about one day visiting.
I've stayed in On Nut twice, and will surely stay there again. Could you identify where some of the spots you visit are? Like that first street vender location where you got the chicken / rice and coffees? Or that next market where they had the food choices laid out and the fruit market? I plan to stay in On Nut again next time too and would love to visit those places myself.
@roverdover4449, If you search the names I put up onscreen during the video, they will come up on Google Maps. The Chicken place is delicious and next to Mini Heart Coffee which is on Google Maps. Good Luck!
excel hideaway 50 and 71 are both quite a long hike from on nut bts, big c and the other places mentioned.
Definitely missed covering the geography in this video. I was surprised to see Big C as it’s quite a hike. Just go to Lotus’s!
So you got an educated lady for company today. She needs a table in front of sofa as well. Nice little lady in a nice little condo.
❤❤❤
Yes, and if you work in Bangkok, your salary will be $900/month so you are lucky that your rent is $250 plus $80-100 for electricity to run your air-conditioner.
She must make good money to afford that apartment as I know wages are quite low in thailand, that would be like a yupper middle class income I'm guessing that type of rental cost
watching this in my Airbnb apartment in Ekkemai, which I paid £393/month for
Her apartment is perfect 👍🏽🇺🇸
@eddied.8361, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I'm glad you found the video helpful.
i noticed when you was in the market everything was wr4itten in thai ive lived in the phlippines for 3 years everything is written in english thats the biggest thing i liked about the pi over thailand it seems women are pretty much the same
I found the really cheap condos in On Nut were like a 20 minute walk from the BTS. It was a bit too far for me to consider seriously.
Jetts 24 hr Fitness is another option for a Bangkok gym membership. Slightly less famcy than the one in this video, but a lot less expensive.
@brambostic2009, Thanks for the tip.
All you need is A/C in the room and maybe pool for hot summer days. You’ll be walking all day long so no need for gym
nice vid, would be nice if you can also let us know where to rent that apartment. thank you
Incubator for tech start up grab my attention. Can you please do a walkthrough video about that?
@mandateonmandalay7632, It will be my next video.
Wow this seems pretty good cost of living.

Nice unit. Sweet girl 👍
Sure is. Thanks for sending a comment.
That's solid. 30sqm is enough for me.
What were the amenities bills $$$ The gym, pool is all extra if not specified in lease. Also water and electric and HOA . Let's get the full scoop.
