People love these games, we just dont have nearly enough good ones accessible today. They are so much fun for couch co op and it pisses me off we never get them anywhere anymore. I want Aliens, I want that terminator salvation game where the t800 statue was part of arcade machine (best terminator merchandise/material since T2 judgement day btw, better than any other Terminator games). I want proper house of the dead releases, time crisis, a remake of ghost squad, lethal enforcers remake, fkn anything man. There are a trillion awesome arcade light gun games that have been begging to be relevant for decades now, and they deserve to be preserved. Instead, nowadays we get like 2 awful light gun games every 10-15 years, like that pos Rambo game from 2014.
I was raised on Sega, with some of my earliest gaming memories being with a Sega Genesis, Sega CD, and even Sega 32X. I got into collecting for the Dreamcast when I was a teenager, roughly a decade after it was discontinued in America, and I am elated to see these five classic Sega franchises comeback with games that look like true modern representations of Sega's glorious past.
Yes guys, I see the trailer. I know that it's playing in the background. Just stating that a new Golden Axe would be awesome. It was a huge part of my childhood.
I would love to see a new Shinobi game I remember playing the crap out of Revenge of Shinobi on the Genesis it probably took me a year to beat that game
I still regularly think about one of the tracks from the original golden axe... The soundtrack was beautiful. I wish someone would sample it for a best lol
Seeing that teaser video got me crazy excited. That "SEGA!" at the end immediately made me feel the spirit & energy of 90's Sega when they were the edgier cooler video game company. This has been way overdue. Sega is bringing back that swag they had in the 90's. Hopefully they learned from their mistakes that lead to their downfall. Welcome Back. "SEGA!!"
Mannnn I hope Alien syndrome gets to comeback! Also… Outside of Virtual fighter sega NEEDS a crazy fighter.. I think Eternal Champions needs another chance! They just need a talented studio to do it. Imagine Eternal Sega Champions with sonic, Streets of rage, Golden Axe and Shinobi DLC🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Eternal champions could definitely appeal to more casual players. I do love some virtua fighter though. I get it, a fairly vanilla game as far as style. But it was such a well crafted game
Oh man, with all the gore and carnage challenge from the dark side had, it'd fit in great with games like MK and KI. Maybe Sega would revamp its Deep Water label too!
I'm SUPER hyped for this, esp. Jet Set Radio making a return. Having other games like Burning Rangers, Clock Work Knight etc come back too would be awesome.
That announcement was like being a kid. Golden axe, Shinobi looks great, streets of rage, crazy taxi, maybe toejam and earl, altered beast. Yo this could be so awesome
"When was the last time you thought about Golden Axe?" very recently actually. I went back and got 100% of the trophies in the PS3 versions of Golden Axe, Altered Beast and Comix Zone a few weeks ago. Played them nearly 12 years ago and finally finished them off. But it's also more than 5 games...the video listed those 5 games and said "and more"...so there's no telling how many Sega franchise are getting this resurgence.
Virtua Fighter is my all time favorite fighting game series! I really hope they bring it back! When i was young, I had a Saturn and it was by far my favorite console, before that Genesis. Team Sega ftw.
I wish they would also do Out Run, Virtua Sports games like Tennis/Soccer/Fighter, oh and Daytona, Panzer Dragoon, Sega Rally… 😂… and hang-on… and after-burner… and altered beast… 🤣 we could keep going… and that one with the aliens…Alien Storm!!!
Virtua Fighter could be made new again by introducing real time damage. It would be risky and you should have the option to turn it off but, if you could leaves bruises, cuts, etc during the fight, maybe that could be a thing.
I can’t wait for all these games! Especially Shinobi, it’s no doubt made by the same people that did Streets of Rage 4. They’re going to do an amazing job with Shinobi!
Used to play streets of rage the first one with my sister when I was a kid. I like the idea of a reboot. Miss my Sega games. Need to hook up PC and get emulator running again. Actually the Sega emulators are pretty good and most stable emulators I tried. Hoping it's OK to mention emulators on this channel :)
I'd love a 20 or so game Dreamcast collection for modern platforms and PC in the same style as the Genesis collection they keep rereleasing. Sadly most of the Saturn's best games were never localized so a Saturn Collection would be harder to make compelling.
It will be interesting to see how they price these, whilst these new games look good - they are not AAA releases and they are not quite indie either! So I want to see them go to like a mid-range $30-$40/£24-£32 on all platforms. I also want to see the Model 3 games get ports too.
I think Jet Set Radio may be priced higher RGG are rumoured to be working on it. Crazy Taxi will probably be FTP and the other titles should be between 20 & 30 dollars
Daytona 2 needs a standalone release. Sure it’s on Like A Dragon Gaiden but it needs to be on the Xbox or PlayStation store or even the Nintendo E shop. Also, Sega should also release Planet Harriers, Ollie King, Daytona 3, Spikeout and Spikers Battle.
@@evanmccue736Only a fool buy a AAA on launch day especially if the launch is September or October. I bought Sonic Superstars for my son's Christmas gift on Walmart online Black Friday deal for $40. It was going for that on all 3 consoles on Black Friday weekend. 😅😅😅😅

They should bring back Virtua Fighter but with a anime style like the Anime they had for the series back in the day..just use the animes same story line for a dope single player campaign. Trussssst me @Sega
I'd love to see gaming return to more raucous, arcadey stuff. Sony triple AAA seems so old hat to me and i say this as a PS5 owner (albeit a late adopter).
Well said. I’m getting older, have a one year old baby, and a demanding job. Games I can actually pick up and immediately have fun with for 30 mins are ideal for me. Outside of GTA6 there aren’t really any AAA games I’m excited for.
I am glad that they are bringing these back, but I'd just wait and see how they turn out. They could always drop the ball, like they have before 100 other times. I won't become part of the hype, but I am cautiously optimistic.

Looks like they’re looking to “Make Sega Great Again!”
love that comment.
I’m hype for all of it!
I hope this leads to a proper and well made Ecco the Dolphin game.
Sega is awesome! I look forward to see what they bring us!
A new GoldenAxe would be awesome!!!
@user-oi6ct9rj6x you need to get on it then
What u mean a new it was right there in the video New GoldenAxe come on man wake up
Don't you see the trailer? It's in development right now! 😅😅😅😅
Yes guys, I see the trailer. I know that it's playing in the background. Just stating that a new Golden Axe would be awesome. It was a huge part of my childhood.
Crazy Taxi?! Golden Axe?!? Dont tease me with a good time!
This was also my favorite announcement from the game awards I didn't expect Sega to come back that was awesome
I would love to see a new Shinobi game I remember playing the crap out of Revenge of Shinobi on the Genesis it probably took me a year to beat that game
I still regularly think about one of the tracks from the original golden axe... The soundtrack was beautiful. I wish someone would sample it for a best lol
BRB sampling Golden Axe
Never played Jet Set Radio and was not much of a fan of Crazy Taxi. But, Shinobi, Golden Axe and Street of Rage are on top of my list!
"SEGA!!"
wow Sega finally woke up and smelled the coffee, thank god.
Fighting Vipers 3 would be insane.
@@WiiMan3121 rather have them as DLC
Oh man, with all the gore and carnage challenge from the dark side had, it'd fit in great with games like MK and KI. Maybe Sega would revamp its Deep Water label too!
I'm SUPER hyped for this, esp. Jet Set Radio making a return. Having other games like Burning Rangers, Clock Work Knight etc come back too would be awesome.
That announcement was like being a kid. Golden axe, Shinobi looks great, streets of rage, crazy taxi, maybe toejam and earl, altered beast. Yo this could be so awesome
a new golden axe and crazy taxi, i cant wait to play them, I have all the Sega systems and a decent Sega library, I love Sega
Imagine if these 5 games were the launch titles for a new sega console.
that would be so cool but unfortunately i don't think sega is going to release a new console anytime soon :')
And The House of the Dead
And Super Monkey Ball. All we’ve had since 2006 is remakes.
Ready 2 Rumble boxing
@@jamescappis4728 ready to rumble boxing is not created by Sega, but it was developed by Midway.
@@WiiMan3121 Seaman? LoL
Also I need Sega rally, daytona usa, out runners and virtua on.
Imagine getting a new vector man and a new ristar. Just imagine it...
Jet Set, Crazy Taxi and Shinobi all have me hyped, but I'm still hoping that they'll revive Kid Chameleon more than anything.
It would be really cool to see SEGA come out with a modern day Alex Kid or even a Sonic Spinball.
I’ve been waiting for a proper VF6 for over a decade!! Looking forward to more news on that!
I would like to see a new Space Harrier & Comix Zone game.
Virtua Fighter could be made new again by introducing real time damage. It would be risky and you should have the option to turn it off but, if you could leaves bruises, cuts, etc during the fight, maybe that could be a thing.
My favorite fighting franchises like VF, SC & DOA always seem to be MIA
The dreamcast was the best thing since sliced bread
Hopefully these sell well and sega is encouraged to continue doing stuff like this.
The dreamcast was hands down the best gaming value for your money you could get at the time.
Sega dreamcast 2
Peak console era
a new virtua fighter would be fantastic. im hyped for all of these games!
I can’t wait for all these games! Especially Shinobi, it’s no doubt made by the same people that did Streets of Rage 4. They’re going to do an amazing job with Shinobi!
Broooo a 3d streets of rage is gonna be epic. Oh man & jet grind.
Glad to see a new Shinobi. Shinobi III was one of the first games I've played.
Wish Nintendo would make a similar announcement.
Because a new Jet Set Radio entry is in development, I am now immortal. My body will literally refuse to die until I play it.
hope this is a start, with many more coming from sega :)
It’ll be awesome if crazy taxi had a new location based on Miami, Paris or Tokyo. Also, a new Vectorman would be sick.
No
It would be awesome if they came out in arcade cabinets. We need more modern arcade cabinets
Im very excited for Sega. As a Sega kid i truly want them to succeed and I was just as hyped as RGT when i seen that trailer.
All this just gives me hope we're getting Power Stone to arrive on modern consoles!!
My pipe dream is for Sega to get back in the hardware market. Also, I was literally just comparing versions of golden axe to pick one to play lol
They should call it "Pipe-Dreamcast2". What do ya think?
@@jamescappis4728 lmao 😂 clearly it's meant to be
Sega is the best so let’s go!
The new Sonic side stroller was $70, so I wouldn't hold your breath for lower prices.
@@misterlexx2721 I haven't bought it at all, yet. I'll pick it up for $30 or less next year or whatever. Not rushing for that one.
I want them to tap into their RPGs like Lunar, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, landstalker, beyond oasis, Crusader of Centy, Sword of Vermillion, Rent a Hero, Langrisser, light Crusader, King Colossus, Panzer Dragoon, Dragon Force, Dark Savior, Magic Knight Rayearth,Mystaria, guardian Heros and many more 😮💨
Landstalker. Been dreaming of a new adventure since I was 12 🥴
Love the fact that you used Collision Chaos bad future in the video! That's one of my favorites from the US soundtrack!
Streets of Rage and Shinobi are two of my all time favorite video game franchises. A dream comes true.
I'm so very excited about this, I gotta I don't know what sparked this move by Sega but I love it, bring on the new crazy taxi and jet grind and golden axe I want to play them all🎉
Loved dreamcast games because it was so much FUN. Love and miss arcade games can't wait for Sega to bring these licences back. Also we need a new SSX and Wave Race.
I've been waiting for Golden Axe for 30 years now thank the heavens my favorite Sega game of all time is coming back
They should bring back Virtua Fighter but with a anime style like the Anime they had for the series back in the day..just use the animes same story line for a dope single player campaign. Trussssst me @Sega
I’m excited because I feel Sega is the only company that might not disappoint me when they announce new games
Well... we'll see about that.
LETS GOOOOOOO I'm 37yrs old and this to me is #Crazy Awesome #Respect
The thing that would be the cherry on top, that would truly encapsulate the dreamcast era energy; would be a sonic adventure remaster, maybe on day.
I'm worried it will be half baked like sonic superstar sonic frontiers and sonic origins were
@@VilaToro64 I wouldn't be shocked if they turn out to be dung, but at the very least Sega mentioned a game besides Sonic.
@@VilaToro64What was wrong with Sonic Superstars? Genuine question, I had been planning on picking it up.
@@joshuabixby31it isn't rushed, it just has design choice people don't like.
One being the tougher and longer bosses since other classic games aren't like that and have short bosses.
There's also a secret part that was too difficult.
I can imagine Sugimori Ken(GameFreak/Pokemon artist) getting very excited. With tears of joy. As he's always been a Sega fan.
I would love to have a 8K Remastered Collection of Virtua Fighter, The House of the Dead, Streets of Rage, Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, and Virtua Tennis
Good Show for Sega and Microsoft.
Not so good for Nintendo and Sony .
I love it
Hopefully Skies of Arcadia is revisited as well.
Really really hope a new and truly exceptional Outrun is released .. .
And including on the disc; a library of the previous outrun releases for console, handheld and arcade!!
dang bro I'm psyched out to hear this that alot of franchises from these originals are getting a fresh start once again! hope the best for sega❤
They are back in business and gey are gonna be great games!
I want to see a remake of shining Force, also, don't forget DragonForce mysteria, lunar. Langassier
JET SET RADIOOOOOOO!!!!! I’ve been waiting for this for almost 2 decades!
Your experience using this platform shows and you are very good at it. Respect
