- Hoarding antiques dealer finds hidden treasures everywhere. After years of picking and thrifting, this antique is surrounded by treasure in a time of crisis during the lockdown. While other dealers struggled because the country shut down. This hoarding antique dealer delved into his treasure chest of hoarded antiques and collectibles. As other dealers had to stop selling on eBay, Amazon, Posh mark. He was able to maximize his efforts while the rest had to struggle. As he delved into his hoarded content, it was like all his birthdays had come at once. The excitement in his eyes grew as he opened box upon box. Will he find real lost treasure once forgotten about? Glad to see no matter what country all us antique dealers are the same! I'm almost 68 yr old lady antique dealer in US. My parents were dealers also so I have been learning all my life! I have had several different shops, booths, done shows, auctions, sales, worked for an auction house, and now work part-time for an estate sale company. I just gave up my last market space a year ago. I laughed when U said don't judge because I have a full basement, a double garage, a storage unit, and 2 rooms in my house stuffed just like that!!! I have just sold a very few things on Ebay and it was hard for me. I need to take the time to learn the ropes and get rid of all this stuff because my kids are afraid they will be stuck with it!! You are a lucky man. You have got a lovely family and a best job in the world. There is nothing wrong with being a hoarder, especially if you are an antique dealer :)

Yep definitely a hoarder , have a friend like this and she has just moved house before the lockdown. It took 3/4 friends 2 weeks to go through the loft , did find lots of nice things but tons of rubbish...Your items are beautiful. I'm keeping an eye out for some Art Deco 😁 can't wait for the next video. I used to work for Walker & Hall back in my youth and sold some beautiful items , I didn't appreciate the items at the time because I was all about clothes music and going out, now I love looking for anything and looking at anything deco even if I can't afford it , just nice to look.👍🙏 Nice country side

This is the definition of taking life's lemons and making lemonade :) It was horrible seeing you have to close the shop but great to see your enthusiasm again. There's an American lady I follow on TH-cam called SueMe and her motto is that's it's not hoarding if you keep it in a pretty box!

Hi Brenda. Thank you very much for your comment as usual. Trust me when I say I was more excited than Xmas day. I put the antiques away to save them up but mostly because I love them so seeing what I got is fun for me too. That’s why I refused to look before I filmed.

It's ok, everyone is doing their best and that looks different for every person. I just wish I could be there to help you go through it all because that is my idea of a good time for sure! I love nothing better to go through mystery boxes of antiques.

Great Video some awesome items Question why do you leave the wirehangers things on the plates i saw on a TV antiques show that there can cause damage,It would be a shame as you have some great items.Cheers for sharing All the best hope you and family are well and safe.
WoW, everything is lovely; love the green accent color on the bone china. Thanks for the tip on ringing of china. I always ring glass and crystal, didn't know about bone china. The decanters are so lovely even with the foxing; just love old things and the tell tale signs of their age makes them more authentic!

Fascinating video. I should do one with one of my units of media . Sadly Too many people in about there though. That shipping line plate with the castles on top looks like what you would get on Spanish or Portuguese coins if that’s any help.

they say every cloud has a silver lining pal some nice stock too this is going to be an interesting series. way better than watching someone making an hour vid of a ten bob storage unit that has sod all in it as the crates all have sellable items or you would never of bought it

NOT hoarding...A Treasure Trove!!!!!
Its not hoarding if you are willing to sell i have a shipping container rammed full of stock so this lockdown has kind of done me a favour
Hi peter thanks for your comment mate. I say that to the mrs all the time haha. But no I got stuff I haven’t seen in ten years. I can’t even remember what’s in the boxes so it’s hoarding hahaha. I know what you mean tbh this lockdown hasn’t hurt me either
All of this stuff is worth a small fortune but BUT you need a buyer and that buyer has to want it more than you do. That will never happen. The decanters could be sold but you will never do anything with them because they are perfect and lovely and yours. $600-800 never..
You have a good eye but you like 100's of pickers will do nothing with all this stuff. Unless you are changing your ways and open a stall at the local antique market you will be buried under all this stuff.
You will move boxes from the garage to the yard to the garage and they will get damaged and you will have very expensive TRASH TRASH TRASH
