Great video Walter. Im a dealer myself but have only been doing it a couple of years. I find your content a massive help and definitely have alot to thank you for. I'm also a sufferer of mental health problems so to see how much success you have really gives me hope that I can do the same.
I'm sure I speak for alot of people but I want to thank you for everything and tell you how appreciated you are for all your time and effort you put in to all what you do.
    Big congratulations on 10k subs🎉

Hi Walter. I've got a better idea to share with you regarding the Dan Llewellyn painting. I know you've already written to him asking for provenance and authenticity. How about you suggest doing a video with him, even a live web link video like you sometimes do with Nick? You have circa ten thousand subscribers and you could give him the opportunity to talk about who he is, his paintings and his website etc. Perhaps even in exchange for the provenance and COA that you eagerly desire. That way, there's something potentially in it for him. A chance to showcase his work free of charge to your subscribers and non subscribers. With your Welsh background, he may feel more obliged to do a video with you. Just a thought..... good luck. Jeremy

Your completely correct about the general public Walter, I see loads of people buying stuff just to resell, I also buy items but either to trade or I will try and sell one item to cover the cost of other items so they will be free and I'll place them into a trade box for any Pokémon Items for myself, I've help a lot of people who are collectors of DC Comics, Marvel, Action Figures, And other retro items I'm happy trading and I'm getting something in return. Also when I sell a item I also deduct the cost of one of my pokemon items I bought either on ebay or Facebook Marketplace so it will be free in collection and I don't have to worry about selling them, And all the money goes into a PokéFund and I either use that money to buy more items or to buy a pokemon item for myself rather than going into my own money and end up skint, You'll will see that on my channel 😀. I know this isn't to do with antiques but it's wrong that charity shops are doing this now.
I've also said to staff on what I do and sometimes they will keep an eye open for any Pokémon Items for me because they know I'm a massive fan probably in South Wales lol 😆

Walter, first we thank you! for your great video's and live 'shows'. Let me, us, know the day before you go live so I, we, will not miss it. Good news about your sales on your website, it would be great to do all selling without Ebay. ...................and now: up to the 15.000 subscribers.

What I have found with eBay is that compared to when it first started, it was a good deal, good prices and shipping was realistic. No prices are stupid and they want crazy money for shipping. For example, I was looking for a particular DVD a year ago. The price of the DVD in the US (I am in Canada) was around $17 but shipping was so varied. The lowest shipping was $6.95, the highest was, take a breath, $106.00!!!!
As for not making a profit from charities???? Give your heads a shake. The only reason they are a charity is because they get free inventory and a huge tax break.

Thanks for the open, honest vlog. It's nice to hear how everything is going for you at the moment. The Exeter Hub where we have a pitch is back open now and it's such a relief to be able to buy and sell again. We have really missed having the joy of buying and handling and enjoying some nice items to put on our pitch. It's only a small pitch and we only do it as a side line to our main jobs but we enjoy it. I get most of my stock from charity shops, marketplace etc so totally agree with you Walter on the price setting and everyone getting their bit of profit along the way. It shouldn't make a difference to the charity shop who buys it as it is still money for good causes and they set their prices same as we do. So pleased you have reached 10,000 subs. Mark from Vintage Freak channel mentioned you the other day on his channel.😊. Looking forward to your upcoming vlogs.👍

Great Video as always, Bootsales here haven't kicked off as of yet. First 1 was Saturday and many others are starting later May early June. Shame the winner of the book hasn't made contact. Fingers crossed they do altho I also wish to be in for another chance :) I am looking forward to the followup on the charity shop as surely they really cannot stop potential sales even if someone is going to sell it on. As for your shop being quiet I have spoken to a few dealers here and also in other retail that I buy RA from and they said the first few days were busy as was a fascination of being out and being able to buy, but have since died off. But I do believe people have got used to buying online and that is the way forward altho having a brick & mortar business is great for promoting stock and buying off the street. I have looked into a shop but here on the island businesses don't seem to last long unless your either a charity shop or a large multi million retail brand like jd, new look etc. Ive been looking into a website for a while now. Gave it a go myself and looked ok but links and scripts were not running properly so gave up. I think I need to pop to more mainland fairs this summer as altho the boat fair is ridiculous a few days away would always be nice. As for ripping of charities. We pay a price which is stated on the ticket altho I do get a bundle price if I do buy alot and that is down to the Manager and they are happy and if not all they have to do is say no. They get items for free and are out to put money into the charity, not worry about what the items are doing once they leave the shop. Congratz on the 10k Subs, Stay Safe Mate and good luck on your next Bootsale.

The charity shops do a disservice to those that are donating their items to the shop....the person giving the item to the shop would be better in going directly to a dealer and is more likely to get a better outcome if they then donate the money to the charity than putting their item in a shop that the staff can put a couple of pounds in the til and take the best items home with them to probably sell on themselves....as I mentioned to you in a previous post that years ago a family member saw this happen at one shop....I am certainly not begrudging dealers a profit of any kind and would advise anyone wishing instead of donating an item to go to the dealers first to sell them their item , then donate the monies they get to the charity and I think that would be a better outcome all round.

Lovely chatty and informative video, looking forward to all of the videos that you're planning. Glad you are seeing such good results on your website. I only sell a small amount and had to make a decision, because of health, that I'm really only aiming to top up my retirement income rather than developing a business which will require premises and employees so not sure it would work for me but I can really see the sense in having a website for those who do not wish to be at the whim of large corporations with their vacillations and (understandable) shareholder-over-customer focus. Your attitude to how much your supplier makes on you is really healthy, it's quite out of step with the ugly, cut-throat attitude of many major corporations - your attitude recognises that as well as needing to make enough to have a comfortable life for ourselves and our loved ones, we are an economic eco-system and as such we all need each other so that we can all prosper.
