Lymphatic Drainage massage is wonderful for "cleansing" your body of toxins. It is a very slow moving massage with a slight pressure. You can have this treatment done at a spa or you can perform it on yourself at home. The more you do this the better for your body and skin it will be. Please be aware that people or clients that smoke, eat unhealthy or are big drinkers may not feel so well after this treatment. The reason being is that there are a lot of toxins in their system. Have them drink water afterwards. Symptoms of a toxic body (after the treatment): headache, nausea, tired, immediate use of the bathroom. These issues may only last an hour or a few hours, but it will go away. Hope you enjoy this video and let me know what you think. xoxo (p.s. New affiliate links posted below. I have been considering going to massage school for several years now, and just as I was getting closer to pull the trigger, and as my best friend went to school and is now completed his program and doing fairly well for himself. I actually ended up fracturing my proximal phalanx of my pinky finger and it healed with a malunion. I had to get several x-rays and CT scans and I feel like my hand has a lot more information and arthritis already setting in. However there is a part of me that thinks maybe Doing that massage therapy program could actually be better for my hand in someway. Because I am getting more exercise for it. I’ve always enjoyed learning about natural alternative remedies through herbalism as well as essential oils. I know they have different techniques where you can limit the use of your hands and also use other parts of your body like your elbows or even bamboo etc. i’m not sure I have such a good opportunity to go to school in Texas because it’s so close to where I’m at. Plus it’s a very affordable program. I just don’t know if I’m ready to commit to that yet. I would look at doing massage more like a side hustle part-time on the evenings and weekends around a full or part-time job at hopefully offers benefits. It just sucks so bad. I’ve always wanted to be a healer in some capacity as I’ve felt tuned into energy healing for some time. Feeling the energy in my hands. And then bam this happens. I just hate everything about it. Not sure why God allows these things to happen in our lives. In regards to pay I feel like massage therapists can and should be making wayyyy more at like $80 per hour working for yourself. I’d start with just home visits if you can’t afford your own office space

After lymphatic drainage massage, would a lifting/sculpting massage be ok? Or should lymphatic massage be standalone. Thank you! 🥰

Good question. Small molecules, proteins, and other elements that come from inside and outside of the body. For example.....Pollution, dead WBC, unhealthy diets, excessive drinking, chemicals from smoking or vaping, free radicals. Anything that causes damage to cells and organs. Hope that helps :)

The body is covered in skin. You can work on the body as an esthetician. How do you think we do leg waxes? Back facials? Brazilian waxes? Ect . We are licensed to work on the epidermis.

    • @bethannmaloney1084

You may be able to where you are but in Florida WE CANNOT unless we're a licensed massage therapist. Waxing is different. We can do that.

    Why no cancer patients?

I will try to give my best answer being in the industry. They do not know if you can move the cancer cells into other parts of the body doing deeper massage via the lymphatic system. There is from what I have read an "outdated idea" that it can. All articles I have seen that say it can are pretty old. Now a days light techniques are acceptable. For example oncology massage can be very therapeutic for cancer patients. I guess it is better to be safe then sorry since there is so much information that contradicts itself.

I’ve been in the industry for quite some time. Almost 20 years now. I too have read old info that pushed the idea of massage therapy spreading cancer via the lymphatic system but like you said, it’s old info. I’ve worked on many clients who had/have cancer and the effects are always positive. As a certified MLD therapist, I can very confidently say there’s no way to spread the disease to another area. As a cancer survivor myself, I utilized massage and body work as part of my holistic treatments. I can see how being more safe than sorry can persuade someone’s decision. I’ve only had positive results though, which is why I asked. Thank you for responding. Just curious, do you work on people with cancer?

I’m a post surgical massage therapist and you CAN get or give lymphatic treatment. It’s an old philosophy that says not to. But if your dr. says no… then don’t but otherwise it’s actually good…it helps them feel better.
