      @@user-qz9sd3cm5t Ok. Then first, I'd like to say well done - I enjoy your videos.
      But can I also ask how you find random Russian people walking alone in the streets of Fethiye, who are willing to give answers which will give enough content for almost one hour of total videos? Didn't you find people who didn't want to answer/had very different opinions or no opinion at all?
      I find that if I watch all five videos together, by the 5th one, I can almost guess what their answers are going to be. It just doesn't seem very random or authentic to me.

    nice video, but it feels pretty much out of reality or maybe i'm just unlucky...
    as ukranian who has been living in Italy for many years, i had the opportunity to meet many russian, like majority of people who come from the east (Ukraine/beloruss/russia), the majority are russians, around 50 people... with whom i and my mother spoke sometimes, with some we celebrated birthdays, and some christmas...
    I gotta say that after the war started, and i talked with them, they would claim that ukranians are "banderovtsu" and nazis... (we were in a small group of russians, 5, and me ukranian).... i got quite annoyed by how they spoke so i said "i'm ukranian, do you see me as banderovuts too ?". The reply was immediate and uniform, a big "yes", it wasn't even sarcastic....
    i couldn't say anything and with time, slowly they stopped writing to me and even talking... always less and less... so out of 50 russians that i knew, only 10 still talk and we sometimes gather, they never spoke about bandera or made fun of ukranians...
    A war was needed to find out who real friends were actually... anyway looking at this video feels pleasant that more russian people are still sane.

    This video is refreshing to watch but also horrifying to delve deeper into it. A bit surprised to see that in a dictatorship that started an invasion against a neighbor for no reason and having tried hard to fool its citizens with fake news and propaganda, there are still so many people decently educated and questioning their government's motives and actions. By comparison, the situation and general public's mindset in another major dictatorship is much worse. I'm talking about China. Most common people there are so brainwashed from birth that they are willing to die for their Communist dictator in invading neighboring Taiwan and other democratic countries based on many recent polls and interviews. Considering China is much more powerful and stronger than Russia now, it's horrifying to think what would happen if Beijing decided to start wars.

    • @negy2570
      @negy2570 ปีที่แล้ว

      These Russians are refugees in Turkey. They enjoy the warmth, they feel free and they have a different look on the world.
      Take interviews in Russia and people will give all sort of idiotic excuses for what their country is doing while constantly looking around or they will even refuse to answer. The common diplomatic reply is "I don't care about politics".
      They care enough to know that they're not free to talk.
      Polls are totally unreliable. If you call someone at their home, what do you expect to tell you?
      Same for Chinese and they're many more! They might be brainwashed since birth, but humans are not stupid.
      Take a bunch of Chinese out of China and ask them.
      Sure, there is always the nostalgic old idiot who really thinks that his misery is caused by the "enemies" and now there are even pro-Russia Ukrainian who took profit of humanitarian escape who still ramble about mighty mother Russia, but 90% of humans will change their mind.
      Another big factor is fear. When you are in a situation of no escape you side with the dictator and be a flying monkey. What else?
      Once you find yourself in a secure place for an adequate period of time and the atavistic fear starts to fade, you start thinking with your own head and heart.
      From outside you can easily see where you were before.

    The lady at 4:38 has it right. She said it very well. Every country has a fringe of unhappy people, usually not very educated or well traveled people, who need someone to blame and hate, and they are attracted to Nazism. But it's usually a very small number of people. Putin knew that using "patriotic pride" from Russia's WW2 history would e a useful tool to get Russians to back his war. But as a Jewish person who lost family to the Nazis, I believe that if there had been any significant numbers of them in Ukraine, every Jewish group in the world would have been shouting warnings. It seems to me, as that woman said, that Russia has a problem of their own with Neo-Nazis.
    Женщина в 4:38 все правильно сказала. Она сказала это очень хорошо. В каждой стране есть край несчастных людей, обычно не очень образованных или хорошо путешествующих, которым нужно кого-то обвинять и ненавидеть, и их привлекает нацизм. Но обычно это очень небольшое число людей. Путин знал, что использование "патриотической гордости" из истории Второй мировой войны в России будет полезным инструментом для того, чтобы заставить россиян поддержать его войну. Но как еврей, потерявший семью из-за нацистов, я считаю, что если бы в Украине их было значительное количество, то все еврейские группы в мире кричали бы об этом. Мне кажется, как сказала та женщина, что у России есть своя проблема с неонацистами.

      It is normal speed, at least in Europe. Maybe you are not used to reading subtitles (I don't know where you are from, but if you are American then I feel for you, since you people dub everything so you are not used to hearing foreign languages with subtitles, so I suppose it can be difficult in the beginning if you have barely come across it before), but for people who are used to it, it's an automated process. In my own country (Norway), this is at least how subtitles are (the speed). If I were you, I would watch a few films in foreign languages (all films and series are always best in autentic language anyway, as so much is lost when you dub something), such as German and French, with English subs. Doesn't take long at all to get used to it and you will not think this is fast after a short while. The great evil here is dubbing, not subtitles :) ;)

    After watching many similar videos, the question always rises is who will affect change in Russia if not Russians? The French Vichy Government co-operated with Nazi Germany, but there was the Maquis, the Free French and even some French Forces in North Africa switched sides and joined the allies (Some sided with Nazis)
    Inside Russia, people seem to accept their political leadership, and outside they seek comfort and security. Many nations as seen recently in Iran and Burma will protest the brutality, but Russian appear unable or unwilling to take any responsibility. It can also be seen that these refugees in sizeable numbers become a threat to stability as seen in Georgia.
    The saying that evil flourishes when good people do nothing is an accurate summery of Russian People. They not only allow themselves and their country to be controlled by Mafia style gangsters who do ''HITS" on opponents, but let it spread to neighbours. They really are the neighbours from HELL.

    Interesting to hear the opinion of young Russians about the official Russian accusations against the Ukrainian population, versus the perception of the older population about the same accusations. Here, a world of intolerance and seething hatred appears, which is clearly colored by the influence of the interviewees on Russian propaganda TV, newspapers, or other state-controlled news media. On the other hand, young people are largely unaffected by the same. Here I see an opportunity to end this crazy war with the young, sensible people of Russia!

    My comment would be, firstly, the chant, that you indicate is from a video, is not necessarily NAZI, it is definitely nationalist, but not necessarily NAZI. When people reference NAZIism, it is usually combining nationalism with racism. The chant contains nationalism, for sure, but not specifically racism. I think the world could do with a lot less nationalism, but pride in one's country is not unusual nor necessarily harmful. Secondly, I think a small country that has been invaded by a world super power can be given some lee way when it comes to fostering some nationalism in the name of national defense. If I was a Ukrainian, I think I would be fine with the chant, within the context of being invaded. The "Above ALL" part of the chant is not great, in normal times, but when your country is facing possibly being erased from the planet, I think I'd forgive them this over reach.
    I am glad to see that so many are seeing past the propaganda and the acknowledgement that we all have NAZIs in our countries and we should start to eliminate the NAZIs in our own countries, before we invade other countries to eliminate their NAZIs. Although, we all know that was not the real reason Russia invaded Ukraine. Slava Ukraine!!

    • @negy2570
      @negy2570 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes, some common sense is highly needed. The politically induced impoverishment of language makes people use labels without even thinking and without knowing what they mean.
      The chant is not nice out of context, but in the present context it's probably an incitement to resist, kind of motivational for hard times.
      No need to make a big fuss about and call them Nazi.

      - "a national socialist" is a socialist that opposes internationalism. In other words they advocate for strong government intervention in economic and social life of the country.

Since 2014, Russian-speaking populations of Donbass were continuously attacked by the Ukrainian government backed by neo-nazi militias (lots of videos back up what I say). @@tylerelissa6377 There is an attack but this is no invasion, the number of involved Russian soldiers is much too small. Putin probably wants Donbass but not the whole Ukraine. When evreyone is tired enough, a peace agreement will come and we'll see what it contains.

      @@eransasson20 Putin definitely wanted all of Ukraine in the beginning of the war. Judging by the Russians’ swift advance within the country, the Americans said that Kiev would likely fall within 2 days. It is impossible not to make the assumption that the Russians were going for Kiev when looking at the deep state map. The russians were very clearly in bucca for instance which is literally a suburb of Kiev. Also, how do you know the number of involved Russian soldiers? The Russian numbers seem to be completely fake. They have lied so many times before. The American and British numbers seem to be accurate
