1:52 The aid action doesn't say you need to roll the same check that you are attempting to aid. It just says of a type that the GM decides.

I'm getting ready to DM Extinction Curse for a bunch of players that are new to PF2. I'm gonna share this with them so they can easily learn the basic actions. Thanks.

Thank you! It's always reeeally good to cover the basics, often players concentrate on their own special abilities and think they have nothing to do when those don't apply. This list is a very useful thing to keep in mind!
Same happens with exploration basic tasks

I remember the first time I heard about the take cover action. They were explaining it's possible to take a ranged shot, then take cover behind something, making combat a more dynamic experience. I picture a shootout situation like in Star Wars.

I find it very useful. Especially when approaching an enemy, being able to move a few times and take cover is fantastic for that +4 AC boost.

Still clutching to first edition with White Knuckles. Hoping to make the jump to 2nd edition soon this should be a good primer

Glad to hear it! 2e can look intimidating from an outside perspective, but it's honestly very simple to learn once you're playing! And remember, just because you play 2nd edition doesn't mean you can't also enjoy and play 1st edition as well!
I'm part of 2 games right now and one of them is D&D 3.5 lol.

Dude, take the plunge. 2e is a far superior system in every single way to 1e. You won’t regret it!

I tried thinking of something relevant to the video to say, instead of just feeding the TH-cam machine...here we are.

So if you trying to escape second time during turn, you have -5 to it?

I'm glad it has more opportunities for actions, but I feel like it's a bit *too* complicated and diluted at times. Like, making stride and leap into one move that could contain both jumping and running seems a bit more practical and condensed. Might consider modifying the rules to simplify some of the actions in it, any suggestions?
