She even got arrested for drunk driving which led to her not being able to promote the movie close to release. Honestly though I doubt anyone involved in the movie really cared that much. She was easily the biggest star attached, her being in the movie was probably the only thing getting it made. Hence why they would even bother head-imposing at all.

Many don't know this - originally Shoenice was to be cast as the murderer. You can still see him in some scenes with his trademark hat/blue motif.
This is one of those movies that is unpleasant to view not because of its disturbing content, but because of the stylistic excess
So there are twins. One a student and the other a stripper. The student is kidnapped and tortured. The stripper is found wounded and missing a limb, and her family thinks that's the student but it's not. Have I got the basic layout down? Have I decoded it correctly? Is that's what's happening?

Sooooo....there are twins. Red one is the stripper, blue one is the straight laced one. Blue gets kidnapped but because of the twin link, Red starts going through her torture so when she is found, everyone assumes its Blue but Blue is still out there and Red helps solves her kidnapping. I get it's not the point but trying to follow this story via a chopped up commentary track is like playing broken telephone. I have no fucking clue what this movie is about. I laughed a lot though so good stuff!
To be honest, even with context, this movie barely makes any sense. It's supposed to be a story that was written by Lohan's character, but that part got cut due to poor test screenings. The bits you see of her reading in front of the class are clues to that. I'm sure if you search on youtube you could find the deleted scene, after she digs up her twin it fade back into a classroom with students cheering/clapping/etc. Both endings are crappy, but at least it wraps things up..
Also, so is everyone just glossing over the insane cybernetic limbs in this universe? Why does Lohan's high school character drive a $50k+ Lexus? Why all the awkward/gross stripping? Why does she just start banging her boyfriend while her mom is home? WHY ANY OF THIS?

Fun Fact: Adum mentions earlier that Lohan's character looks like her head is photo shopped onto another body. That's because it was. There were days where she wouldn't come to the set at all or would show up late. The director ended up digitally inserting her face onto a body double for days she didn't show up.

It's not just the fact that they had the right leg and hand blink, it's the fact that they zoomed way in on it and just held on it for no reason other than the director ramming their Super Clever Symbolism down the audience's throat. Because it wouldn't be a bad mid-2000s movie without an "auteur" director who thinks they're way smarter than they are.

Probably that was implied in the color scheme. Bear with me: In the scene where a football game is shown ("GO OWLS") the picture is tinted blue and red. Then the red vanishes and only the blue remains. Red is the color that represents the stripper girl in a very SUBTLE way, so … probably that stands for her abduction.

It’s because that Padme scene was legitimately fucked up and had some nice allusion to the birth of Darth Vador. Episode 3 of starwars was a humongous tragedy for Padme and there was serious shit in it that could make that line work very well. This shit just throws in the “the will to live” thing from nowhere just to make this pathetic girl seem alive. I especially hate it here because Dororo comes in with a protagonist that lost his eyes, face, nose, limbs, ears, his spine, nerves, and more from a demon sacrifice, all he literally has in that state is ‘the will to live’. Fuck this movie and its retarded “smart” writing.
