Sad but true. Half the people who voted for Frozen back in the day admitted they didn't even watch the movie and only voted because it was Disney or abstained entirely. Hell, one bluntly admitted he just let his kids loose in the theater while he played on his phone in the lobby and just said "Abstained" with big helping of loathing for the genre. I really hope the whole biopic craze ends soon. While I didn't hate 'Bohemian Rhapsody', I absolutely loathed the ridiculous amount of overhyped ads, sponsors, and merchandise that came out of it. It made the entire movie seem like some cheap cash in on a man's legacy, which is the same reason why i'm weary to see the Elton John and Tolkien biopics. I worry for what influential figures hollywood will try and bastardize next.
Great that the movie introduced a whole new generation to Queen's music, but people still can only name 5 Queen songs goddamn it.

It wasn’t a good biopic. They’re right that Rami Malek acted like more like a generic rockstar, and you’re right that Freddie was nowhere near that.

Anais Crystals Lol were you actually offended by what I wrote? Bridesmaids was just yet another comedy movie you'd forget two weeks after seing it, yet it was nominated for a ton of awards. Why? Because of an all female cast? I don't think that's a just cause for getting nominated/winning a lot of rewards.
It's a movie - base the verdict off of the basis of any movie: writing, cinematogrophy, lighting, performance, music, etc., NOT because it has an all female cast, or in Black Panthers case, more or less an all black cast.
The message the movie is sending out is good of course, I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that shouldn't be the reason for the movie winning countless awards. It should be able to do that on it's own without the context of having a "new style" of cast.
I hope this isn't the case in Hollywood cause it's so stupid, it really is.
Following this logic, I can make a movie tomorrow about three fucking purple-skinned trans people wandering around a mountain side looking for a treaaure or something and I'll end up taking home a bunch of Oscars next year just because my casting was so new, progressive, including, [insert further acceptance-bullsshit here].
