I've found that the ones with KSM-66 are the best. Seeking health has one, as well as the prenatal vitamin is a must- even when breastfeeding. See it here: www.seekinghealth.com/?rfsn=7442201.c38171&.c38171
Hi~ The ingredients look ok, but you always want to ask where the botanical came from.?? The highest quality would be as a powder and/or tincture. I hope this helps!
Thank you for this video! I already bought an ashwaganda supplement, but like another commenter said, it's in capsule form, not a tincture. The only other ingredient it contains is black pepper in addition to the root (guessing it's in there for better absorption). It also states not to use while breastfeeding, but all natural supplements are required to say that because they aren't regulated. Would you trust that, or is the tincture and powder more effective?
Hi, Erin~ Do you trust the company? Are there any other ingredients that worry you? I do prefer tinctures but, with that said, many moms prefer supplements. Gaia is a good company to try.
@@jadecarter1555 I ended up waiting until after I finished breastfeeding to take the supplement. I couldn't find enough information about it online and didn't want to risk anything with my baby's health or long-term effects.
Two tablespoons is waaaaay too much long term and is probably toxic for the liver. I take a quarter teaspoon with my morning coffee and that's a pretty powerful and long acting dose for me, a 6 foot 2, 100 kg guy. The brand I use also recommends only using a quarter teaspoon.
Thank you. I should clarify; 2 tbs of the ROOT {not powder} to 4 cups of water. I prefer the tincture or powder form. If you use powder follow the directions on the package. Thank you for pointing this out!
Tara just wondering , I did purchase a ashwadanga supplement in capsules but it says not during lactation period , I haven't been able to use it as just coz this. :(.
Can i take stinging nettle root while breastfeeding to prevent postpartum hair loss? I am aware of stinging nettle leaf safety but couldn't find any info on the root.I think it's safe as nutritional profile is the same, it's only about the dose.
Hi~ I'd like to get to the root cause of why you're experiencing hair loss. With that said, a daily nettle leaf infusion could help soothe stress and fill your body with vital minerals you may need and is safe while breastfeeding. I've honestly never used the root, the nutritional value may differ. You can read more here: www.herbalgram.org/resources/expanded-commission-e/stinging-nettle-root/

Yes, I don't think it will affect supply. 3-6 grams of powder is suggested or a blended formula. Have you tried it?
