    Ashwagandha Supplement
    amzn.to/3lVS2WO
    Ashwagandha side effects are real and you should know of them. A lot of people ask is ashwagandha safe or is ashwagandha good for you.
    Ashwagandha side effects are that it:
    Lowers the blood sugar level
    Decreases blood pressure
    Alters thyroid hormone level
    May increase symptoms of autoimmune diseases
    What is ashwagandha and how to take ashwagandha
    Ashwagandha, also known as Withania somnifera, is a small woodsy plant with yellow flowers native to India and North Africa. You may have heard of it as an adaptogen,as it’s believed to help your body manage stress better and is overall best known for its stress-lowering effects. The name ashwaganda is from the sanskrit language, and is a combination of the word ashva, meaning horse, and gandha, which means smell. The root has a strong aroma that is described as horse like. Scientific studies have suggested that ashwagandha might be beneficial for a number of conditions.
    How to take ashwagandha correctly
    So with all that said, how is it supposed to be taken? There is no standard dosage based on modern clinical trials, but the study that looked at its use for stress, the patients took 300 mg twice a day after food. Other studies have used much higher dosages, and some products contain up to 1.95 grams, so keep in mind to always follow the directions on the label for whichever supplement you take.
    Is ashwagandha safe
    Keep in mind that ashwagandha root is not for everyone especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an autoimmune disease, type 1 diabetes, and hashimotos thyroiditis. It also interacts with some medications used for diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, and benzodiazepines.
    It can also affect certain lab tests too, so talk to your doctor about not taking it before lets say you go in for a thyroid function test.
    Is stress necessary?
    When we can adapt to stress, we perform better and feel better even though there are many things out there that are stressing us out. But its not stress that is the problem, When you’re stressed, your adrenal gland releases the stress hormone cortisol, which then energizes you to tackle an emergency and get things done to protect you like running away from angry bear or bird, or even help you turn in your assignments on time. But too much stress that is too often is usually bad for our bodies and is classified as chronic stress, which we don’t want. Whether or not ashwagandha helps you, it is important to seek help when you need it and look for additional methods to tackle down chronic stress.
    Is ashwandha good for you?
    Many products that contain ashwagandha have lead to harm so it is very important that before you try any of these supplements to discuss it with your doctor first.

    • @Ruktiet
      @Ruktiet 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      What do you mean by palpitations? Ectopic heart beats which feel like there’s an extra or skipped heart beat, or just a stronger, more noticable, or faster heartbeat? I want to take this, but I suffer from anxiety from ectopic heart beats and reading your comment makes me a bit more sceptical towards taking it… could you please elaborate on this?
      Also, did you notice any positive effects next to your heart palpitations? Thank you in advance!

    • @wread1982
      @wread1982 2 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      @@Ruktiet I took it for a year or more, didn’t know your supposed to take breaks cause it slowly raises your thyroid T3. Dr Andrew Huberman PHD said it also messes with your hormones and make you not feel pleasure as well cause it lowers dopamine or something I forgot. I’m already on testosterone therapy, heart palpitations went a away. If you are low on iron that causes palpitations, taurine and arganine and magnesium helps reduce palpitations

      Such a great point. I’m currently really stuck in a tough spot because my body is chemically dependent on Xanax that was prescribed to me by a doctor with absolutely no warnings of negative side effects. I want to get off but terrified of the withdrawals, even having missed a couple days before I’ve been almost non-functional :( Of course I did my own research a bit, but your point stands that it’s messed up that Doctors aren’t intent on educating their patients on the risks of pharmaceuticals as much as any medical professional is forced to do with non-FDA approved supplements.

    For those wondering how often to take, go by dose directions and always cycle your herbal supplements. Take one month and off a month. They work synergistically better for you.
    Most herbs are better tolerated this way, cycling them and not constantly taking them. Also one herb may work great for someone, while that same herb may not work as good for another, but you can find one that may for the same reason with results. It also takes time for them to work, they arnt harsh medicines.

At first I couldn't tell it was doing much, then I ran out and forgot to order for them. In three or four days after running out I was very much aware of exactly how beneficial Ashwagandha is. I haven't let myself forget to order it since. Like any supplement it takes a week or so for you to feel any effects and, as in my case, the changes are so gradual you don't even realize it's happening. I only take Ashwagandha occasionally when I am feeling stressed from work. It can help men sexually who are under much stress by reduced cortisol which effectively keeps more free testosterone from being converted to estrogens from what I recall however I am not an MD or pro herbalist. I do think it does well with hypo thyroid and other hormone imbalance in men perhaps better than women even.
      The bottom line is that it is an herb, try it out, just as safe as ginseng except not as taxing on the adrenal glands. If you need more of an energy boost you can still take those two together but like with anything that goes up will come down; also recommend b-12 , Zinc, magnesium, selenium and if your looking for blood flow - lower blood pressure! Clean arteries, get a little cardio but not too much stress and look into foods that help create Nitric Oxide.

      @Matthew Squire Your thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in your neck, just above your collarbone. It is one of your endocrine glands, which make hormones. Thyroid hormones control the rate of many activities in your body, including how fast you burn calories and how fast your heart beats. Some people have overactive thyroid conditions where they may lose weight or underactive thyroid conditions where they may gain weight.

    I have a lot of stress and anxiety it affects me daily but I manage it and have always dealt with it but boy am I depressed. I’ve taken ashwaganda for only a week and you don’t realise what feelings have been bottled up and supressed when you casually get a little glimpse of feeling like a normal human again, it’s nostalgic because it reminds me of a better time I was happy and full of life and that I can be that person again. To have that little bit of relief felt magical.
