It was my parents in the car. They were in the right turn lane waiting to turn right behind a truck, and a car ran a read light heading east to west and hit a truck that was coming from North to South (towards the truck infront of them) and hit that truck head on and that's what pushed that truck into their car and back into another truck behind them. 2 car and 3 truck accident.

Rider wasn’t paying attention to the stopped traffic ahead and then slammed on the brakes, he stopped to suddenly with a car behind him a big no no for any rider who wants to survive on the road.
This is the absolute nightmare scenario for me when i'm riding. I have to say though that any car driver should be able to look past a motorcycle and spot the stationary traffic ahead of it; most riders aren't that overweight. Nevertheless i just hope he was relatively okay for such an impact and not trapped between vehicles.
in those cases i think its best just to flair out to the side of the vehicle in front of you to avoid getting rear ended, but then again this all happened so fast and he had no time to think about it

Semi Trailer one scensrio was a semi-trailer with an additional trailer in tow losing its second trailer.
I took my foot of the accelerator and controlled the steering wheel. I received a 7.8 and passed.
My mates either braked . . . Wrong .... OR worse . . . changed gear and then braked. . Wrong and the Simulator read
"you are most likely dead!"

@@CrazyWhiteVanDriver I wonder if something happened well before this clip between the 2 drivers involved because there doesn't appear to be any reason at all for the silver sedan driver to be brake checking the dc truck driver. It looks like an insurance job based on the clip and the dc truck driver did well to avoid the first 2. I wouldn't be surprised if the dc driver's insurer made the call for all responsibility on the irresponsible silver sedan driver.
My favourite ones are where the guy who gets hit is CLEARLY in the wrong, but still gets out all angry at the other guy.

5:42 I live near there in Brisbane and the intersection ahead was a busy one that leads to the highway if you turn right. The intersection was rebuilt a few years back and became a bit confusing, basically if you wanted to turn right you had to stay in the left lane (as seen on the road sign up top). The two right lanes only goes straight. I'm guessing he noticed the sign a bit late and quickly wanted to get in the left lane, was busy checking mirrors and didn't keep an eye in front.
i've been near there too, it's confusing if you don't know how the road works. one lady in her merc almost hit me merging back into the lane.

not counting the junkie at the end, there were 4 incidents with cyclists, with only one with the cyclist at fault, and yet some of the comments make it seem like every clip has a cyclist at fault. How about some of you knobs get pissy over the motorists doing things such as:
speeding, using a phone, running reds, failing to stop or give way, driving on the wrong side of the road, careless driving, illegal overtaking and turning, not signalling, not keeping left, tailgating, not giving way.....you get the picture.

Kessels / Mt Gravatt - Capalaba road is featured a couple of times and it's not surprising. The crash at 3:24 is where heaps of accidents happen (cnr Auckland street). Had a mate live just up from there and would give me a weekly "what a fuckwit" report.
I lived along that stretch of road 40 years ago when it was a 2 lane country road and it was bad then. The neighbours had a car crash and land in their front yard with the 100th person killed on Queensland roads in 1976

It was an older person who got confused and jumped on the accelerator instead of the brake.

What I appreciate about these videos is the amount of people who actually STOP when they witness an accident. I was in a bad accident back in 2012 and NO ONE stopped to fill out a witness report to the police.

Insurance scammer. Without dashcam the truck would've been considered 100% at fault for failing to keep a safe stopping distance. Although, to be fair, the truck should've backed right the hell off after the second brake check because by that point it was obvious what old mate's plan was.

Robert Brauer you know driving is not a difficult thing to do most people are just not aware even some that are innocent in this whole thing could have also been avoided if they saw it going to happen, as well because I am a mechanic I have driven Most cars on the road and fixed a lot of cars some a very very big joke some that have just passed safety Certs and the cars are still a joke with lax safety officers not even checking front struts . The amount of death traps on the road mechanically is astounding. With a highly looked after efficient vehicle kept well tuned and serviced you can brake quicker with good braking systems , tyres, shocks new brake fluid etc . .. even people understanding how much tyre actually touches the road hardly many know .a lot of this is highly avoidable it is just you are right they give incompetent people cars a lot do not even know the road rules or know ADR design rules . It’s a problem
