Everyone always miss one of ulthane's cutscenes. After you are told to gather the fragments of the blade you can talk to Ulthane and it is there where War tells him Abaddon is the Destroyer, Ulthane loses his shit and War says he will get the Armageddon blade reforged.
I’ve recently gotten into this franchise and I gotta say I am LOVING it! Awesome storyline, badass protagonist! It’s one of the best games I’ve played in a while. It DOES remind me a lot of Zelda though....

I love Darksiders! But the combat just feels kinda boring and repetitive compared to other franchises like DMC for example. I'm enjoying these games more by just watching them on TH-cam. Feels like I'm watching a badass movie series instead lmao.

After this battle the other Nephilim leaders vouched to not use the weapons as while they were effective they were too unpredictable. This was against Absaloms wishes. The Nephilim would eventually have their downfall at the battle of Eden against the hellguard and the four horsemen who betrayed the Nephilim Death would eventually go out of his way to hide the grand abominations from creation in Kothysos. He kept it secret from the other horsemen aswell. And this kicks off the start of the abomination vault novel

Dude definitely. I usually hate when people say "When are we going to get (thing) the movie?" Cause not everything has to be that, but Darksiders is definitely the one that deserves a cinematic outing. The art is so beautiful but limited by system limitations and clunky and unpolished game feel. I know it's a huge ask, but the trailer for Genesis is what I wish the game looked like in engine.
It's strange. But I honestly feel like the remastered in-game graphics hold up nicer than the CGI scenes. A little spit shine goes a long way when you've already got so much style.
War is truly the most honorable being. Amongst angels and demons alike. Would like to see his interactions with humans though. We have seen how Fury and Strife interract with humanity
The Character's face from Arthas (Warcraft3) and the visuals are very inspired by WoW, the puzzles & Dungeon-Crawling from Zelda and so on and so forth.. ;-) The mixture and the originality in the use of the mechanics has always been great in this series
The 2 main problems i have with the game is 1. There's not much attack other than the basic attack, no combos or anything, even in his wrath form. But then again, it was made quite a long time ago 2. The health bars ain't visible
You didn't play the game did you? Because if you did then you'd know both of the things you mentioned are in the game, it's just that this particular player didn't use those combos

Thank you for putting this together...I love this game, for the characters, for the story, for the biblical tie ins...but I suck at it while playing. It is perfect seeing and understanding how War was setup and played. War's final response was epic and completely understandable. Thanks again for a wonderful presentation of an exquisite experience.
I'm a bit late, but it's likely because of his settings. Granted D1 didn't have the greatest cinematic sound effects in general, not like the sequel, but they were a lot better for me than this. The music also was very soft here, noticeable in 1:34:00 especially around the time the soundtrack 'Eden' plays.
Ok not sure if I’m late to the party here but I didn’t know this till yesterday, there’s another cutscene with Ulthane if you talk to him after completing eden(before you get all the shards). Is that also in the og version? Because if so I completely missed it the 5 times I replayed it, just found it when I was playing this version
Cutscenes are pretty good for what they are and considering this game's release date. Only thing that feels almost buggy is the environment sound during the cutscenes. Take the one with the black hammer for example where he smashes away a car... Sounds way to quiet and far away 🤷♂️
the very first opening where war losing his power happened before DS 3 (that is why there is a scene where fury meet war being chained and basically the main plot for all DS franchise i believe), but yes the event when war already gone out to cleanse his name were happened after DS 3 i believe
This game has some of the coolest characters in a video-game, epic boss fights, top noch writing, and an ageless artstyle, too bad it borrowed a lot from GOW games and it was always considered as a the GOW ripoff.
After 7th final seal has been broken, its duty of horsemen to come for the call to fight apocalypse (without choosing any sides), apparently even from death itself. Death dies in Darksiders 2. He is in one meteor out of 3.

People underestimate the four horsemen they are way more powerful than people think, they are the living manifestations of god’s will, judgement, and wrath so going against them is going against god himself
I swear I think you guys have some kind of already in place edits and transitions on a project and all you do is import the gameplay and don't even look at at most times, like you'll skip boss battles and important thing but keep the player going through his inventory, saving, exiting and then reentering the game, and keep several deaths that happen, then have these long drawn out segments of the players trying to figuring out what to do, like y'all need to edit better
I feel bad because I love the story of Darksiders but I just feel like 2 and 3 lack the same production value of this one. Full actual cutscenes and DAMN good voice acting between Vulgrim, Samael, War and the Watcher. I love it all but 3 more than 2 just rubs me wrong. Fury feels so flat and forced while War and Death both feel organic. I just wish that as a character they fleshed her out more and gave her the same love. Her rapport with Pride was good, but everything else felt so out of character with the persona she exuded the rest of the game.
She is shown as done in comic - arrogant, impatient, selfish and full of fury (anger) If you look deep in each Darksiders game, each character does the opposite of there Name. War want to prevent war, Death brings life, strife fights alongside humans, fury finally got some chills :)
can anyone explained to me what the hell happen when samael did something to the watcher n tells War to kill him and War hit the watcher but yet still lives..and i thought the connection between war n watcher was broken after that but when they meet the Angel of death after a moment Watcher makes War suffer just so he wont do as he says
Samael used his power on the watcher and wore him down a bit. He then helped war to tap into the dregs of power he still had within. While war didn’t have a means in that moment to kill the watcher he lashed out at him giving him that last bit of rage to break through to the power within. The reason the watcher didn’t fight back is because he feared samaels reprisal and was scared as samael didnt have something stoping him from killing him.

I'm assuming that the end of darksiders 2 and 3 end right before Darksiders 1 ends. That's when he summons all the horsemen by breaking the seventh seal. This resurrects death as well. I'm guessing that the 5th darksiders installment will be continuing from this point and the game will feature all 4 horsemen. That's what I'm thinking.

Dr. Weird Science darksiders 3 is out at some point this year
Cutscenes are pretty good for what they are and considering this game's release date.
Only thing that feels almost buggy is the environment sound during the cutscenes. Take the one with the black hammer for example where he smashes away a car... Sounds way to quiet and far away 🤷♂️

the very first opening where war losing his power happened before DS 3 (that is why there is a scene where fury meet war being chained and basically the main plot for all DS franchise i believe), but yes the event when war already gone out to cleanse his name were happened after DS 3

This game has some of the coolest characters in a video-game, epic boss fights, top noch writing, and an ageless artstyle, too bad it borrowed a lot from GOW games and it was always considered as a the GOW ripoff.

People underestimate the four horsemen they are way more powerful than people think, they are the living manifestations of god’s will, judgement, and wrath so going against them is going against god himself

I swear I think you guys have some kind of already in place edits and transitions on a project and all you do is import the gameplay and don't even look at at most times, like you'll skip boss battles and important thing but keep the player going through his inventory, saving, exiting and then reentering the game, and keep several deaths that happen, then have these long drawn out segments of the players trying to figuring out what to do, like y'all need to edit better

The story may be pretty straight forward & not ultra fleshed-out, but damn if the presentation isn’t salivating.

I feel bad because I love the story of Darksiders but I just feel like 2 and 3 lack the same production value of this one. Full actual cutscenes and DAMN good voice acting between Vulgrim, Samael, War and the Watcher. I love it all but 3 more than 2 just rubs me wrong. Fury feels so flat and forced while War and Death both feel organic. I just wish that as a character they fleshed her out more and gave her the same love. Her rapport with Pride was good, but everything else felt so out of character with the persona she exuded the rest of the game.
She is shown as done in comic - arrogant, impatient, selfish and full of fury (anger)
If you look deep in each Darksiders game, each character does the opposite of there Name.
War want to prevent war, Death brings life, strife fights alongside humans, fury finally got some chills :)
can anyone explained to me what the hell happen when samael did something to the watcher n tells War to kill him and War hit the watcher but yet still lives..and i thought the connection between war n watcher was broken after that but when they meet the Angel of death after a moment Watcher makes War suffer just so he wont do as he says
Samael used his power on the watcher and wore him down a bit. He then helped war to tap into the dregs of power he still had within. While war didn’t have a means in that moment to kill the watcher he lashed out at him giving him that last bit of rage to break through to the power within. The reason the watcher didn’t fight back is because he feared samaels reprisal and was scared as samael didnt have something stoping him from killing him.
they didnt got the cinematic stile right in the following parts, i crave for a proper darksiders franchise, but the first will be the only one in my heart...

I'm assuming that the end of darksiders 2 and 3 end right before Darksiders 1 ends. That's when he summons all the horsemen by breaking the seventh seal. This resurrects death as well. I'm guessing that the 5th darksiders installment will be continuing from this point and the game will feature all 4 horsemen. That's what I'm thinking.
I think so too. Haven't played Genesis yet but 2 and 3 are going on simultaneously with Strife pretending to be a human throughout most of 3
No, we’re still on darksiders 4 which will be exclusively from strifes POV as genesis was a spin off and prequel to the other 3 for backstory and exposition.
