This is rididculous, you could just make him a non canon playable character while keeping him dead in the story, that's an easy solution. What y'all bringing him back alive for? He should be dead and STAY dead bruh, just like other characters.

Heihachi has some of connection with Raijin's lightning within his bloodline. In Shinto and Buddhism, Raijin is a God, warrior-protector who brings both destruction and life. I was expecting his "resurrection" to be more supernatural, but ok. Tbf, they never actually showed him hit the lava, as if they already considered bringing him back. Shouldn't Kazuya have seen it, tho? The memory loss makes sense. Loss of blood flow to the brain could cause that. And a meteor to the head fixing all that is just funny. I wonder who Season 1's fourth character would be. Ppl speculated Jinpachi. Was he secretly trained by the Monks?
kazuya did fight akuma(who unless he comes back to fully finish things pretty much lost that fight.) after could see that distracting him/called it something saved heihachi from hitting the lava. do find funny(if sad that jin finally got rid of his curse/made peace with himself only to end up having the fight the old bastard who alongside his wife is at fault for all the tragedy that happened to him.)that jin & kazuya's fight is what ended up awakening heihachi to his old self again headbutting the arena they fought on. love that moment with jin & eddy(really hope christie gets added.:3) though wish yoshimitsu got an actual fight scene/nina just really makes me wish we'd see anna return as i way prefer her. could see jinpachi being sent by jun and kazuya(with how he doesn't have the devil gene anymore could give him actual moments with him as his 5 ending did show he still cared for his grandpa before his lust for power took over to morbidly troll him.) going with him to stop heihachi(can't see outside a guest character/really old obscure character anyone that'd top heihachi reviving in that season finale.).
I think the supernatual part is the memory stuff. I thought maybe the monks influenced his memory loss just like they were worried they might influence it back when the other monk used the smoke. Maybe that meteor had devil/angel stuff involved too. Or just acquiring the ultimate move is a spiritual thing that did it.
Not really. Kazuya has his devil gene removed and so does Jin as well. Now that they're both normal humans, they're pretty much at the strength they were before the devil gene stuff. Sadly this is pretty accurate for him. The few victories he ever achieved were mostly him using tricks. His biggest win was stealing the Zaibatsu's vault filled with wealth in Tekken 4 and that's not even him in an actual fight. Heihachi is leagues above Yoshi. Yoshi isn't 'weak' so to say, but compared to a lot of other characters, he's often overpowered by them. He has the potential to be a lot stronger but he chooses to use most of his strength to suppress the evil blade of his by the same name because he's a morally good character. If he went eff it and went evil, he'd go up considerably. TLDR, He's always weakened by his sword as a result he's one of the chars that take the most Ls.
No, he's not. He beat Ganryu in T1, Kunimitsu in T2 and has no further confirmed victories since then. Additionally, the strain of keeping his sword at bay has been weakening him since T6.
It's gonna be Kazuya vs Heihachi all over again, this time Kazuya unrelunctantly going to be joined up with his son Jin to stop him and Jun convincing him not to kill his delusional father this time. Kazuya is the only Mishima remaining who still didn't get a proper redemption story.
I don’t wanna be that guy, but I’m pretty sure kazuya literally watched him fall into the volcano, besides this doesn’t answer my questions, what happened after kazuya was defeated? How was Reina born? How does she have the Devil gene? Is Kazuya’s Devil gene truly gone? Does Jin still have his angelic powers? I’m so lost story was good until they brought heihaci back then they had to make up stuff on the fly but this was inevitable
After killing Kazumi, Heihachi murdered the rest of the Hachijo family but spared one woman and that woman is Reina’s mother. Also Jun gave Jin his Angel power which was only temporary so both him and Kazuya no longer have the devil’s power.

This! I noticed it right away. Honestly eddys part seems like the best part of this dlc story. As much as I may be disappointed with the story direction of this dlc, their music callbacks are on point! I may have missed some but there is even some heihachis theme from Tekken 2 in his end fights and desperate struggle at the very end after he has defeated them all. Plus the Tekken 6 opening when eddy and jin are fighting. The music callbacks in the main story were some of the highlights too!
Its amusing how people to this day still try to use logic to understand and explain Tekken, to me the borderline of understanding Tekken is this 1. You can't trust any of the Mishimas (Jinpachi is the only exception to me), Jin broke my trust with the world war regardless of the reason 2. Heihachi can only be nice to Kuma, Reina may show affection to Heihachi or care about him but if its not Kuma am pretty sure that old man will betray everyone even Reina, he only using her coz she got the potential to spice things up in the family otherwise she got no other use and i could also say the same about the remaining unnamed children of Heihachi, just mere tools 3. Just go with the flow of Tekken and trust the process
It's nice to see that 2 of my favorite characters, Eddie and Yoshi, Are in the spotlight of the story? I was really disappointed, especially when I saw Yoshi in the opening.
Considering Heihachi casually went and killed all the monks as the first thing after getting his memories back, I wonder what their plan was if he didn't have convenient amnesia when they rescued him

This story is as outrageous as every other Tekken game I’ve played since Tekken 3 and Tag. Maybe the complainers are new? As soon as I saw Jin drive off of a building and throw a motorcycle at Kazuya’s helicopter, all I could think was “Aaahh, good old Tekken…”
The moment he was like "Y-yes I will put Kazuya back on the straight and narrow" I knew exactly what would happen. It didn't make it any better when I saw the monks on the floor. The whole time I was like and yall saying Kazuya is the villain.
I will say I did like that both Heihachi and JIn went through a trail to face the darker part of themselves. Heihachi failed were JIn succeeded shown how Jin kept descending further into his psyche don't to the roots while Heihachi practically stalemated with a loss and a win, still struggling with his crave for power absolute. Jin redirection of the Mishima style and it's roots as a martial art to fight the wicked like his Kazama roots, Kazuya defeat in the front of Jin's definition of power, along with Reina and Heihachi are gonna make for an interesting story line.
Everybody thought that OR Kazuya thought that every fighters tried to beat and defeated Heihachi, but. I thought Heihachi was a good person in the beginning and now he's back like a "bad to the bone" and I'm like, 'He's going to regret this once again!'
In my opinion, this story is not bad. Like the main story and unlike MK1, it is not a reboot and continues to answer some plot threads from previous games while attempting to add a few new story elements. Also, the running joke that Mishimas don’t die is one of the many things that makes the series memorable.
Those stupid monks. They should've just left Heihachi to die in that volcano. Now he'll take his rightful place to throw the world into chaos as the main antagonist in Tekken 9.

I was not a fan when announced but now I really don't like it. Thry made one of 7's only decent bits AND THE ENTIRE SERIES feel pointless and even insulting in the wake of this . I was hoping for very little but I imagined "hey I bet it'll be a good or interesting story " but fuck no. This is one of the weakest story modes I've seen and for literally nothing to ultimately have been accomplished this is a waste several times over. A waste for weight and investment in long term storytelling A waste of time and effort for most any, be it dev or fan A waste of money Waste of characters utilized Worst of all to me, a waste for what could be. Now that devil and angel are out, I thought it cool/promising to imagine pure human kazuya and Jin destroying each orher with real consequence under human limitations but now? Just another 3 way dance, all after so many years of that status quo. Maybe it at least wouldn't feel as bad if it was the fucking second piece of extra paid content mere months after base launched. Now heihachi is obviously stronger which only becomes worse as time goes on. Such a copout too. Im annoyed they used 5's opening theme motif for fighting and a obvious reference to dark resurrection intro. Gotta love how baek, and wang perma died but he's alive?! They should have waited longer for surprise and impact, like with jun. How he was added before anna or chrisi, master raven hell even ganryu. This delivered only on my most feared outcomes. My faith, stupid as ever has nothing to blame over my self hoping in moronic minded moderatism. I think i almost prefer lucky chloe and her ending / her and eddy. What would have worked way better but still surprisingly justifiable, have it be jinpachi! It fits better. Honestly im very upset. People dunk on 6 story and in general but even though biaeed biased I think it a master work compared to this disgrace. Abhorrent usage of resources and squandered trust to fatten always over flowing corporate coffers. How many times has he resurrected at tgis point!? One too many! Add him as non canonical character for fans to use without trashing the timeline. I honestly can't get behind this, and 8 sometimes feels similarly and even though i do like it and actually loved the story before this but i feel close to giving up fan status and being done, throwing arms up in exasperation. This feels slimy and just downright manipulative and insulting. Id rather the 7 interviewer/ or nancy to come back as well even. What are fans supposed to care about or hold to when nothing makes sense or lacks weight constantly tripping over itself at behest of more bucks a billion. I fucking hate it. I was excited after devil/angel disappeared, loved it even bur this is the far more extreme (already problematic) reappeared jun. Everything is wrong and gross Thanks for nothing Namco Bandai

Bro, I thought the lava pool buffed Heihachi instead if he landed into it. His intro quotes literally state how that "measly lava pool" was the "right temperature".
This is rididculous, you could just make him a non canon playable character while keeping him dead in the story, that's an easy solution. What y'all bringing him back alive for? He should be dead and STAY dead bruh, just like other characters.

His death was well done and the main story for Tekken 8 seemed to finally put an end to the story between Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin.
But no, fuck it. Heihachi is back which means once again it's Jin versus Heihachi with Kazuya somehow dragged into it. At least this time Jin is back to being the actual hero again.

There’s another style besides kazama that is used to fight demons and it’s the Mishima style of all things. Actually that makes a lot sense since heihachi was able to go toe to toe against Jin and Kazuya.
Heihachi has some of connection with Raijin's lightning within his bloodline.
In Shinto and Buddhism, Raijin is a God, warrior-protector who brings both destruction and life.
Raijin is more a trickster than a malevolent figure.
Like how Sun Wukong emulates and does what he wants as a god and an all powerful figure.
Both of the top monks shown, Seiryu and Suzaka also have the lightning power.
Seiryuu the azure dragon
Suzaku the vermillion bird
Heihachi a.k.a byakko the white tiger(He wears the mask)
Genbu the black tortoise
All of them named after the four cardinal beasts aka four Holy Beasts. They are "divine".

Question is what would Jinpanchi's role in the storyline same with Kazumi if resurrected
Jinpachi would literally be on Jin and Jun side the whole reason Heihachi killed his dad was because his need for power and want to conquer the world jinpachi didn’t have that problem and was more peaceful but could still whoop your ass if need be

Maybe we should blame Akuma for distracting Kazuya before he can see Heihachi reach the magma
kazuya did fight akuma(who unless he comes back to fully finish things pretty much lost that fight.) after could see that distracting him/called it something saved heihachi from hitting the lava.
do find funny(if sad that jin finally got rid of his curse/made peace with himself only to end up having the fight the old bastard who alongside his wife is at fault for all the tragedy that happened to him.)that jin & kazuya's fight is what ended up awakening heihachi to his old self again headbutting the arena they fought on.
love that moment with jin & eddy(really hope christie gets added.:3) though wish yoshimitsu got an actual fight scene/nina just really makes me wish we'd see anna return as i way prefer her.
could see jinpachi being sent by jun and kazuya(with how he doesn't have the devil gene anymore could give him actual moments with him as his 5 ending did show he still cared for his grandpa before his lust for power took over to morbidly troll him.) going with him to stop heihachi(can't see outside a guest character/really old obscure character anyone that'd top heihachi reviving in that season finale.).

Shadow Heihachi sounded alot like Jinpachi. TBH I hope it's the smaller or larger mishima monk. Wana see what that birdmask dude can do with his staff
Kazuya: *WHY! WON’T! YOU! JUST! DIE?!*

The story doesn't move forward at all. We're just back to 3 guys trying to kill each other again.
Not really. Kazuya has his devil gene removed and so does Jin as well. Now that they're both normal humans, they're pretty much at the strength they were before the devil gene stuff. Pppfffttt lololol he most certainly has never been 😆

BRUUH, He is op in LORE. Harada forgot Yoshi lore that's why!!

Honestly with everything that Heihachi has done he deserves to die.

I knew that music sounded familiar.
Its amusing how people to this day still try to use logic to understand and explain Tekken, to me the borderline of understanding Tekken is this
1. You can't trust any of the Mishimas (Jinpachi is the only exception to me), Jin broke my trust with the world war regardless of the reason
2. Heihachi can only be nice to Kuma, Reina may show affection to Heihachi or care about him but if its not Kuma am pretty sure that old man will betray everyone even Reina, he only using her coz she got the potential to spice things up in the family otherwise she got no other use and i could also say the same about the remaining unnamed children of Heihachi, just mere tools
3. Just go with the flow of Tekken and trust the process

😆😆
I just love the implication that all Tekken characters are secret geniuses that speak every language including Kingspeech.
Then why the hell they can't sme language? I mean pretty much dev Or the audience are living in under some smoke
When I saw good Heihachi, I thought Harada meant the old evil Heihachi is completely dead. Then I saw nothing changed except the gameplay.
I've heard of overcompensating, but Seiryu's beads are next level.
Also, the running joke that Mishimas don’t die is one of the many things that makes the series memorable.
yeah people go straight from laughing at their immortality then to hating on it for some reason.
