Ever since the Watcher pointed out that the talisman glowed everytime a sin was near, Fury never questioned the fact that it glowed everytime her Watcher was out interacting with her. Guess that's why the end was such a revelation for her. Fury was way too arrogant and ignorant; guess that's why this story plays out the way it does, she needed to be humbled. Still an awesome game.
its also interesting the notice that the first Envy became white energy and not green like the other sins when Fury tried to absorb her in the talisman. infact that whole animation was NOTHING like the other sins. it was a fake all along.
From what I could tell her watcher was almost only ever out interacting with her whenever a sin was also near, in which case it glows anyway. There are also times when she is out that the amulet never glows, which is easy to see after the fire tornado incident or in the elevator leading to Wrath...or even directly after the fight with Wrath.
In the book Abomination Vault you can see that Death is so alpha he barely let the others speak when he's around, kneeling is just pushing way too far. ( >_
It wasn't that she was pissed. She just knows them well enough. War would be far to stoic to talk as much as he did, let alone kneel. Death is proud as fuck and would definitely not kneel. And from what we see of Strife, he's the cool older brother that helps the others out in different ways, so kneeling wouldn't be too out of charavter but it still seems like something he'd avoid doing. The Horseman respect each other on a certain level, but they aren't gonna kowtow to each other.
I feel like that was because Fury just wanted to lead the Horseman into battle, not have them SERVING her while bowed at her feet like slaves. That's not her.
Very eager to see what happens to Strife and how his guns ended up with the Makers. Cool how War gets Mercy from Ulthane; though, that blonde Maker didn't look like Alya, so how did she get a hold of Redemption if she wasn't with Ulthane? Unless that is Alya and Valus, and somehow they used the portal or some other one to get back to the Forge Lands.
I kinda expected it since i noticed they were voiced by the same actor When lust showed fury illusions of their reunion I noticed it was the same voice when jones provoked fury
I thought she was angry because that she was not counted like her brothers they always talk about the 3 horsemans but never the 4th In the books samael address the 3 but not her that made her very angry
But what's so special about Earth without humanity? Seems kinda pointless, you know? Were I an evil mastermind, I would've at least kept humanity around as toys to play with.
@@Bidmartinlo That's what the sins were so baffled about, what was the point of their being on earth without humanity to pollute/corrupt/toy about. So yes pointless
@@Bidmartinlo Most of the fights over Earth, or Eden as it would be, are because it was a prized realm gifted to humanity. Nephilim never had their own realm and wanted to conquer it, Heaven probably saw it as divine, and Hell as an object to corrupt and destroy. And all forces probably saw humanity as undeserving to say the least.
@The Grin Reaper War and Death never felt human nor did they truly grow throughout the game's progression. I'm not saying Fury's arc is incredible, I'm saying, it's the most human and she had somewhere to go in the end.
You're missing the games secret dialogue ending and the few cut scenes required to trigger it. You need to confront Abraxes in the final area and then go back to the Hollow King and he will give you an item that changes the ending of the Envy fight and the dialogue between Lucifer and Lilith post credits.
"you should've called strife, he's the delicate one" maybe that's a jest at the company themselves because they probably thought about doing Strife after Death.
Strife was the first to say "Fuck you" to the Council and went to help Humans, I like where the story is going, Ulthane ends up forging War's weapons in the First game, Fury goes help Humans rise to power once more, but this time with the knowledge of who they fight and the opportunity to focus all our destructive mind to kill the Heaven slaves and the Hell dogs, the Fourth DS should be about Strife fighting against Samael's forces and the last boss would be Lilith, strife wins and secures Earth for the return of Humanity, then the fifth game deals with Humans returning to reclaim Earth with the Horsemen as our guardian Angels, we kick both Angels and Demons collective asses and send them both back to their shitholes to rot and then we aim for what none of the aforementioned had the brains to focus on, and that is The Stars (:
Today's media is so sanitized, especially with regards to women, that they funnel personalities to superficial components and ditch hardship - thus eliminating character development
It explains alot about Strife being missing that he found out it first and how he lost his guns. Makes me curious of how they will think of how he discovered it in the first place.
I was thinking that strife might die here protecting the makers. But then also giving the makers his guns so they can give them to his brothers in the other games.
MOONWOLF7395 that’s what I was thinking, and when Uriel broke the final seal and resurrected war she also brought back strife, and re-summoned fury and death
wont be that way. The ending is screaming TO BE CONTINUED, plus new company. 1st - DLC ( slot for armor is not used AT ALL, so we will see new sets soon ) 2nd - darksiders 4. And then - darksiders 5 with coop for 4 people ( only in my dreams, i know ).
@@TheAngryHumster candidate 5 for co op? I mean, it's not a bad idea, but I'm guessing we are expecting to play all the 4 horsemen after we figure out the plot for the 4th game? Shoot, I'll take it!
Since Darksiders 1 to 3 the Horsemans are feed Demon Vulgrim by giving millions souls! With so many souls that Vulgrim has collected, I wonder how powerful a demon will be. Maybe we are gonna see Demon Vulgrim can be a boss character in Darksiders 4 ?!
Nah, Darksiders 4 will be about strife giving vulgrim souls oh and plot too, but I don't think vulgrim will become a boss until Darksiders 5 when all of the Horsemen are together
This is not an official conformation, but by making Darksiders 3 they made a unspoken promise to continue the story until we have a game that directly follows the ending of Darksiders 1 and all of the Horsemen face off against the persons behind the apocalypse, war's summoning, and everything else that's going on.
There are still some big plot holes in this, when did envy hide as a watcher, who really killed rampage, and when? We didnt see the lord of hollows again after the "only one of us will survive".
i dont want to spoil anything for you but lets just say, he didnt finish master's sidequest, where you have not two but actually three different options to end it. so yes you see him one final time
@@edward9296 They are completely different races, death and the four horseman are all the same race, envy just had a simlar mask to death, but she also had 4 arms in case you didn't notice.
i agree they should have explained more but its not a plothole. rewatch the scene where she absorbs the first Envy. the animation is completely different then any of the other sins. its white, not green, and rather then shrinking into a swirling energy ball before completely being absorbed intot he talisman, it poofs into white smoke. at the time Fury is arogant and doesnt care if it was normal looking or not, just asuming it worked and moved on, buut it didnt. it was a decoy set in advanced by the already knowledgeable Envy, who expected all of this (as she enplanes) also whenever the watcher showed herself, the talisman glowed brighter. but Fury never noticed. again they should have explained this more at the end when envy reveals her plan, just a line that says the first envy was a decoy she created. but regardless it is not a plothole.
hmm fascinating I never expected the embodiment of lust to be so logical I like this depiction it makes much more sense than what we normally get in terms of the portrayal of this aspect
@@sugartoothYT yes when you look at it through the limited spectrum of how the term lust is normally perceived than it could mean an intense sexual desire but the sin of lust by definition and through translation of multiple holly scripts including the bible perceive lust in it's entirety to be a sin as opposed to the popular belief that people of a religious persuasion only scrutinizing the sexual aspects of lust this conclusion is drawn from the fact that most people can't differentiate between lust (an immense desire for sex, money, military power, political influence, etc) and greed ( a desire to horde or keep something for yourself or greed could also be defined as an unwillingness to contribute or share) so put simply lust is an intense desire to obtain something or someone you are infatuated with usually through any means regardless of whether or not those means are necessary and greed is the concept of hording something you already own while envy is the desire to possess something that someone else already owns or be with someone that someone else has already developed a strong connection with in short one can lead to another but they are still slightly different from one another and while lust can apply to sex it isn't sexual in the entirety of it's definition I hope this clears up any misunderstandings you seem to have about my faith
@Samuel Pulkkinen Again sexual lust is represented quite a bit but according to christian beliefs lust in it's entirety is a sin not just the sexual aspects in order to understand this as well as the meaning of those teachings you have to be able to understand that what are referred to as sins particularly the seven deadly sins are not evil in of themselves but rather potentially self destructive aspects of human nature that have an immense probability of leading an individual to perform actions that could either be harmful to ones self like over eating or sleeping with someone who has contracted some form of disease or actions that could be defined as evil such as stealing or murder lust or desire is not evil in of itself but if you allow it to go unchecked or if you give into lust in any form there is a high probability if not a guarantee that it will lead you to some pretty dire consequences or in a worse case scenario it could lead you to perform actions that you would never even consider if you were thinking rationally for example sexual lust if you allow it to obstruct your judgement can lead lead you to rape someone who isn't interested in you or if you allow your lust for wealth to obscure your judgement you will resort to any number of methods such as theft and murder to obtain it history has proven this time and time again however if you keep you mind within the confines a sense of reason or a sense of right and wrong you can prevent yourself from even contemplating such deplorable actions you don't even have to read up on your history or be a christian to come to this conclusion look around you and you will see that despite the fact that we all have the exact same desires the difference between a good person and an evil person falls down to the concept of self restraint and the ability to keep those aspects of our nature in check
@Samuel Pulkkinen and as for greed, envy, lust being different sins it's as I said before that's because they are slightly different from one another to lust is to desire something or someone, to be greedy is to want to horde something or someone to yourself, and to be envious is to desire something you do not own or someone who is already in a relationship with someone else as you can see these aspects of human nature are very similar but have very slight situational differences does this make sense
@@sugartoothYT I'm not trying to argue with you I'm merely trying to inform you because you seem to have more than a few misconceptions in regards to my faith first is your belief that lust primarily applies to sexual desires where if you actually knew anything in regards to this topic you would know that it's merely an example used by priests second your reference them as the deadly sins that is a very common misconception but it is still wrong they are the seven mortal sins they are called this because of the word mortals double meaning it can mean deadly because these sins can lead to dangerous actions but it is also a reference to the term mortality meaning life because these sins are not necessarily good or evil by themselves but rather aspects of ones humanity of ones own mortality as I said this isn't meant to be a philosophical rant or an argument I only intend to inform and correct you on your misconceptions in regards to my beliefs unfortunately those beliefs are philosophical by nature so that is probably why that my statement came out the way it did on an off note you seem to be able to read and comprehend my statements well enough on your own so I see no reason to hold your hand on that matter
Rampage looks more like a blue horse to me. Ruin - Red Despair - Green Rampage - Blue Disarray - Purple? Hey, if they actually call the last horse "Disarray," I want royalties! :P
this game literally popped up on my recommended list, I AM HOOKED NOW, the plot, the action, the blood, all these things combined have made me very intrigued
Scale and Level desgin aside, As far as the story goes, they kinda just dropped the matter of who killed Rampage. Along with whatever the King of Hollows was talking about.
After everything that happened in these games, one of the things I hope for is that in the last game the 4 will lead humanity and the part of Haven led by Uriel in a war against the charred council and Samael, Lilith and Lúcifer.
I so hope that Strife's game is a last stand or final stand story. Kind of like the Haven last stand, except it's just Strife by himself against waves of demons, or angels, picking them off as they get closer and closer.
since the very first time i played this game i noticed that there was something wrong when lust talks about envy while looking directly to the watcher, i was like "geez, again a traitor watcher?"
great visual story telling that you don't realise until your second playthrough is the false envy's energy being white whilst the sins have green energy and how the talisman glows with the watcher around
Having played all 3 Darksiders games completely, I still strongly feel Darksiders 2 was the best imo. Darksiders 3 was cool and I'm SUPER grateful they released it.. but It feels like it was missing much when compared to D2. Even though D3 was in a way open world, it still did not feel open world like D2. Also I miss being able to change the look/parts of armor (not just a repaint like in D3). I also feel like the abilities, fight style, cinematics where best in D2. Like I mentioned I'm glad we have a D3 and had a blast playing it despite the glitches and etc, but hopefully D4 will be even better :) . Looking forward to the day I could get the Darksiders 1-4 collection.
Darksiders 3 should be somewhere between Darksiders 1 and 2? at the end, we saw Strife, with his 2 guns, while we got Redemption with Death very early on Darksiders 2
Okay, so I have this theory.... The beginning cutscene, where Fury is sitting on the grass and Rampage comes walking to her, she mentions how bored she is. Now, take in the look of the world. If you are familiar with either of the original Darksiders games, you may notice that is seems familiar. Where Ulthane is in the first game it is green and relatively peaceful. The Makers world in the second game, pre Corruption, or post, would look all too similar. Now, Fury was told that the portal would take the humans somewhere safe and that she only need protect them. What if that place was the Makers world? It would make sense if it was post Corruption. For Death freed the realms of it in his game, maybe ensuring the survival of the world. Also, Fury looks to the sky and speaks of 'The Calling.' If I am not incorrect in my knowledge 'The Calling' only occurs at the breaking of the Seventh Seal, which occurs at the end of the first game. It would make logical sense if this game begins where the first ends, at least the first true cutscene.
there are so many places require back tracking after u gained power ups which are pretty difficult to remember without the map bcoz most areas are like the maze and quit frustrating to get there without the map
@@samueljohnson3751 God damn... that's perfect. Similar to Fate or Destiny, but Doom is obviously specific. He'll be best friends with Death, no doubt.
Is this something on purpose that Envi basically held the 3 other horsemen's weapon, or at least they look almost similar, heavy sword like War, Scythe like Death, and 2 pistol like Strife
Fury had the most character development since she was the most careless, reckless and selfish of all Horsemen. She lost the thing she loved most (her horse Rampage) because she took it for granted, she nearly died when fighting Wrath because she was angry etc... All of the sins represented all of HER actually. She said it herself - everything the Sins stood for, she paid dearly for it. By defeating them she discovered who she really is. The names of the Horsemen also imply a hidden message - War had to SURRENDER in order to win, Death had to sacrifice his LIFE in order to win, Fury had to leave behind her arrogance, furious attitude and carelessness and rediscover her true self. I wonder what Strife will have to do. Although I probably already know the answer. Game has some glitches and bugs, but the story telling and character creation are amazing once again. ;)
Ah, come on... Another cliffhanging ending. I can't take this anymore~ Strife, you cheeky saviour you, show us how this series end! I yearn for it. It would be massively cool if the final installment would feature the ability to play as all of them, in which you could switch between them.
Quite so and yet, it has the two sphinxes or whatever they're called at the top. Given how apparently important this guy is, I'd wager it's the actual thing. Even if it's irrelevant and part of the scenary (for now).
Next game's gona be awesome if they do it right. Like, making it so you can change between all 4 horsemen whenever you want. 3 npc's backing you up, or if you choose, have 3 players instead. That would allow for so many enemies to be fighting you at a time, and raise the scale to the next level.
Not gonna lie, back when we saw the first things about DS3 and Fury in particular I was worried about the direction they were taking things. Turns out that I was wrong and this game is spot on and fits perfectly into the series. Also I love the character arcs all of the Horsemen go through in each game. Fury especially grew alot during her journey. She's not the entitled cunt we used to know.
Anybody playing, if you notice when you go to your chaos form how it barely does any damage yet in normal state the whip takes away ALOT more health? Upgrade your arcane ability instead of something else. Arcane affects spirit and magic attacks. Just dropping a tidbit. I've seen like 6 videos and the chaos for strength was weaker than the normal whip lol
I always explained this to myself with the health regen. I don't remember the previous chaos forms to regen your health. Fury hits less dmg but she regenerates. A trade off if you will.
"Pride goes before the fall. A bit on the nose" "You snore. Maybe a broken nose." You got away with it the first time... the second time pissed me off :P
I do say I enjoyed this game's story more than the second. Fury did have the most character development out of the three so far. I have the feeling Strife will have a good amount of development too once his game comes out. I wonder who will be the final boss in the final game though? The Council or the big bad Lucifer himself? I'd assume Lucifer, and it wouldn't surprise me if he was the one who corrupted the Charred Council. The story did leave us wondering who the Hollow King wanted Fury to kill, and why his last message to her was cryptic. I would have thought both the demon and king would have been a boss fight. I wonder if it was cut for DLC?
About the demon and the lord of hollows their story is a side mission and was not played during this run through. If you complete the side mission you get a slightly different ending.
Amazing video of this game! I seriously hope that a next game does come soon, or at least, a continuation of plot game. By the way, aren't some scenes missing here? Like, the conversation and fight against Abraxis and the Hollowed King?
I'm confused isnt envy the first sin you capture? So why does lust offer her location despite fury having already captured envy? Did she escape at some point?
I watched till the end but still didn't explain when envy took the watchers place, add also the fact that fury didn't say she already caught envy made it a it confusing.@@lovipoekimo176

Of all things to piss off fury, I wouldnt think seeing her brothers kneel would set her off like that. Just when you think you know someone.....
I knew something was off when I heard their voices.....Death and Strife sounded so odd.
Never expected Jones to actually be Strife. Darksiders 4 should pick up IMMEDIATELY where that ends, would be fitting.
I kinda expected it since i noticed they were voiced by the same actor
When lust showed fury illusions of their reunion
I noticed it was the same voice when jones provoked fury
I actually had a hunch jones would be strife it was the way he talked to fury and approached her only those with power have that kinda balls
It’s a good idea, but shouldn’t Strife’s story be started in the past, like the rest of his siblings?
@@cls357 I think strife might've died here protecting the makers and that's why they have his guns.
I love that Fury basically calls out the developers for always using 3.
I thought she was angry because that she was not counted like her brothers they always talk about the 3 horsemans but never the 4th
In the books samael address the 3 but not her that made her very angry
I love Fury's arc. I love all their arcs. And the banter between Fury and her "Watcher" is just comedic gold.
Lucifer is just sitting and waiting for everything to fall into place like a true Machiavellian villain
Right?
Just as planned.
Fury has the most human arc in all the three games.
I think that's the point
Pretty much saying that throughout the game
@The Grin Reaper War and Death never felt human nor did they truly grow throughout the game's progression. I'm not saying Fury's arc is incredible, I'm saying, it's the most human and she had somewhere to go in the end.
@The Grin Reaper im not fanboying at all. Fury just felt more human to me I suppose. Death is still my favorite Horesman though
the weaker ones are always more humane.
"It smells worse than Death, And trust me I know. We shared a room for a thousand years."
Death one musky boi confirmed.
Between that and Fury's apparent snoring, I didn't know who to feel more sorry for when the roomed for 1000 years.
Death stinkman
"...I'm here in the name of blind capitalism!"
I love this game already.
"You shouldn't have made them kneel!" then I fell inlove with fury.
Admit it
You were shocked by the ending weren’t you

@@abdulrahim2540 you know Darksiders posted a teaser trailer? I think that is going to be Strife's game
Fury looks a little like Starfire with her hair glowing in Orange flame.
She looks like Jessie with jaundice the rest of the time... lol
Strife: Meaning disagreement against fundementals. A fitting finale should a 4th Darksider be made.
Strife was the first to say "Fuck you" to the Council and went to help Humans, I like where the story is going, Ulthane ends up forging War's weapons in the First game, Fury goes help Humans rise to power once more, but this time with the knowledge of who they fight and the opportunity to focus all our destructive mind to kill the Heaven slaves and the Hell dogs, the Fourth DS should be about Strife fighting against Samael's forces and the last boss would be Lilith, strife wins and secures Earth for the return of Humanity, then the fifth game deals with Humans returning to reclaim Earth with the Horsemen as our guardian Angels, we kick both Angels and Demons collective asses and send them both back to their shitholes to rot and then we aim for what none of the aforementioned had the brains to focus on, and that is The Stars (:
xX Valtiel Xx I agree I've always felt there should be five and in the fifth one you play as all four of them
Agreed
Makes sense that Ulthane has Strifes guns now.
@Angel Guzman yeah well his plans kinda went to shit when death chose to resurrect mankind over his kin and he was not amused
And that kids is called character development
[Sarcasm] Nooooo, really? I never would've guessed! In all seriousness, it'd be nice if more games had good development like this.
Well, "Strife was the delicate one" as Fury suggested. Might have something to do with having a greater intellect.

A few hundred thousand at most, but not in the millions, I think...
Vulgrim is the character that is behind the scene with Lilith and hehelps the Horsemen only because with each powerful foe they slay he gets stronger.
Nah, Darksiders 4 will be about strife giving vulgrim souls oh and plot too, but I don't think vulgrim will become a boss until Darksiders 5 when all of the Horsemen are together
@@grimscull3185 so...this series isn't over just yet!! Hell yeah!
We didnt see the lord of hollows again after the "only one of us will survive".
i dont want to spoil anything for you but lets just say, he didnt finish master's sidequest, where you have not two but actually three different options to end it. so yes you see him one final time
dude more importantly why os envy same race as death was he not the last of his kind ???
@@edward9296 They are completely different races, death and the four horseman are all the same race, envy just had a simlar mask to death, but she also had 4 arms in case you didn't notice.
@AlphaPrime
Death is so Alpha she needed the same mask as him. I mean Envy right? xD
i agree they should have explained more but its not a plothole. rewatch the scene where she absorbs the first Envy. the animation is completely different then any of the other sins. its white, not green, and rather then shrinking into a swirling energy ball before completely being absorbed intot he talisman, it poofs into white smoke. at the time Fury is arogant and doesnt care if it was normal looking or not, just asuming it worked and moved on, buut it didnt. it was a decoy set in advanced by the already knowledgeable Envy, who expected all of this (as she enplanes)
also whenever the watcher showed herself, the talisman glowed brighter. but Fury never noticed.
again they should have explained this more at the end when envy reveals her plan, just a line that says the first envy was a decoy she created. but regardless it is not a plothole.
Strife has two different weapons in last clip. Cool attention to detail. He left one to Ulthane to give to War.
and the other ended in Forgelands.....
hmm fascinating I never expected the embodiment of lust to be so logical I like this depiction it makes much more sense than what we normally get in terms of the portrayal of this aspect
I hope strife will get his own story in the next darksiders game if it will ever happen one day

Damn, when the first trailer came out I thought Fury looked weird.
Now she just looks so beautiful omfg
Another hint that Fury didn't pick up on was when the Watcher said "Oh, I'm here for much more than that.". Fury isn't very perceptive.
Does anyone know how fury’s horse rampage got stabbed??? Because I find it odd that when she calls him or her it has an angelic sword through its side
David Jarrett I never seen the reason either. It would be nice to know.
It just looks like a way the devs wanted to cut the horse out since it wouldnt serve a purpose like war(as a weapon) or deaths(as a way to travel)
When you look at the scale of this game compared to the others, its very corridory. So the horse really would be hard to use in such tight spaces.
Scale and Level desgin aside, As far as the story goes, they kinda just dropped the matter of who killed Rampage. Along with whatever the King of Hollows was talking about.
David Jarrett probably envy, I guess.
The section with Avarice was... wew lad. I'm surprised no one caught the double meaning on "Philistine" and shut it down.
"It vibrates in my hand." Fury's favorite hollow. :P
XD
She just wanted to try out all of its functions just incase she needed to advance science. :)
I know what you did there buddy.
Someone needed to do it.
great visual story telling that you don't realise until your second playthrough is the false envy's energy being white whilst the sins have green energy and how the talisman glows with the watcher around
Okay...where is Strife's game?! Also who here wants to see a game where all FOUR Horseman are available?
“it smells like Death in here, trust me we shared a room a thousand years ago” LMAOOOOO
1:41:50 It seems Fury found Inner Peace.
Eric John That reference😂
Why is it that Envy (1) looked like a Skeksis and Avarice looked like Krampus?
Never trust a watcher

There is so much foreshadowing in this. The fact that the talisman doesn’t light up until fury and the watcher enter the room.

Here's the one thing I'm curious about; how come the Lord of the Hollows has the Ark of the Covenant strapped to his back? The mysterious, amirite?
I wasn't sure if that's what that was or not considering the Ark is supposed to be gold.
Quite so and yet, it has the two sphinxes or whatever they're called at the top. Given how apparently important this guy is, I'd wager it's the actual thing. Even if it's irrelevant and part of the scenary (for now).
I love this 4th wall break: 35:59
It's true there's usually 3 *something* you need to find/break/open :p
The more sins she captures her companion becomes jealous.
