Man who would thought the 9V could be jumped like that, this was definitely a learning science tutorial added to the positive end result in getting the battery going again. Nice Job.
The 9 volt batteries worked great to reboot the BMS in a 6 month old 48 volt Chinns lithium. Thanks so much. I would like to purchase 6 of the filler plates you make to cover the hole in the body when you replace the charger plug to go to a on board charger and add the NOCO plug.
I have a Chinns 48v battery that I installed for a friend. It is reading 0 volts right now. I tried another charger than bypassed the charger plug to eliminate some variables. Tomorrow I’m going to try your 9 volt batteries trick. You can’t get inside the chinns but I’ve also been in touch with the company so I’ll let you know how I make out. You’ve helped me many times in the past so I’m hoping for another good outcome. The battery is 6 months by the way.
Just got back from using your 9 volt battery set up to reboot the BMS in a 6 month old Chinns 48 volt battery that was reading 0% on the app. It worked perfectly! You are the man ! Once again you made me look like a hero ! Funny part is I’ve been in touch with the engineers from Chinns sending them information that they requested . Haven’t heard back from them yet but should have just went to your web site to get the solution. Thanks!
I have a 24v lithium pack in a electric pallet jack they let go dead.. im wondering if I can jump and fool the bms to wake up as well like you did... thanks for the idea!
I see your fearlessness nature. I just bought a 100Ah Walmart Chinese battery. I had to pull the motor for testing, created sparks with the wrench shorting the F1 to the A1. I had pressed the off button, but the the battery was not turned off! There is no indication such as a light around the on/of button and the remote gauge reads the battery state of charge no matter if the battery is on or off. I'm thinking to open this battery and installing a digital meter in the case, wiring the meter in series with the on/off button. I want to know when this battery output is on.
very interesting , I would be nervous digging in the that battery but I guess with all the lithium batteries out there this will be a part of trouble shooting.
Have you ever heard of Discovery 4WD Electric Motor Kit by Sliverwolf? I came across them on the internet. Would probably be really cool for walking tall.
Right now my golf cart isn't running. The navitas controller says that the be positive isn't getting enough power and it's falling below 41 volts. I may need to open up the battery and see if there's something happening similar to this. I've been told by navitas that the controller isn't the issue that the battery could have a bad cell or an under voltage cell. Any suggestions for many of you golf cart gurus will be greatly appreciated. The golf cart battery I have is a RoyPow S51105 51.2 volt
I was woundering if you could draw me a diagram on how to hook this APIELE 22mm Latching Push Button Switch 12V Angel Eye Ring Light LED Waterproof Stainless Steel Round Metal Self-Locking 7/8'' 1NO 1NC 1 Pack (Blue) switch to plye 4ch hydra bluetooth amp using 3 3 spot lever nuts thanks
I'm glad to see Ryan and he showed us how to activate the golf cart lithium battery in hibernation mode. Great content, recommended!
Good find! And good problem chasing. Nice to know it was not a real problem with the batteries

Amazing trick my man! you saved the battery ! ( expensive one as well) good find!!
Will it run videos are always the best in my opinion!
Good to see you back at it !

happy to see you back, Ryan, could you reply my email with EHY battery?
That battery is toasted.

Man it is so hard to find used parts where I live. I need a rear diff and can't find an old cart for sale LOL.
That is good to know about the battery.Might save some people money and time!

Good deal.
Nice find Ryan😎

@chalier0681 do you have an app that shows the state of charge in the individual cells ? that should tell if you have a bad one
Worth about $3500 now ❤😂

You forgot to add the link to Justin M who replaces BMS's in lithium batteries
How about you do it?
This happened to me a few months ago. I used an ego battery to "jump" my golf cart.
What's up BUD it been a minute
