Good job being patient in explaining the reed switch. The first lithium conversion I did on an ezgo I found out about the reed switch. I had a hard time figuring out why it wouldn’t run , I didn’t know what I did wrong. I was using a Big Battery lithium and the Service group from Big Battery helped me work it out. Everything is easy when you know how to do it. Very clear instructions , great job as usual.
Watched this video and bought the exact same cart, battery awesome video. Working on installing a dc step down to 12 volt. Cart has a light kit installed and they work. Neighbor does wrapping so he wants to try it out on this cart. New springs coming next week.
I just wanted to thank you for your videos. It really helped me do my conversion to one 36 V lithium. The red wire from the charger port wiring tip saved me. Thanks
Jealous of all the cheap club cars you find! I say that because I run a 36v series TXT with the totally awesome steel frame. I’ve had to weld the rear spring bracket back on and I’ve repaired the battery train 2 or 3 times now. Seriously though, the frame isn’t really a problem. I have a stock high speed motor that was good for 18mph on stock wheels. I can get to 22mph now that I have larger wheels and tires. Doesn’t need a lift to go up one size, but it did rub on the brake pedal linkage. 2” lift solved that for very little work. Most of these won’t have the reed switch anymore - too expensive to replace. I’ve got 4 years on my battery pack, so I really appreciate the clear video! $999 for 100ah with a charger and meter makes it silly almost to buy more lead acid!
Great Video. At 13:10 I see that you explain that the REED wire has to be connected to the positive (+) post of the battery. It made me think instantly that I would attach a relay and use the positive wire of the charger as the trigger which will DISCONNECT the power to the REED wire. That will prevent someone trying to move the cart while it is plugged in.
Did you get this to work? Wouldn't the positive wire of the charger would always have at least the battery voltage on it preventing the relay contact from closing?
helped a lot! going to purchase a 36v Repower in near future for my EZGO TXT. Was not aware of the read switch, good info!Interested in how you would install 12v converter for accessories,I will follow for updates!
Those club cars are a great frame. Looks like you could easily fit 2 batteries in there and have really long range. Even with an upgraded motor and controller, going 35mph, 2 batteries would still have crazy range.
I have a '97 Club Car DS and converted to lithium last yr. I have 3 12V 60ah batteries. Good move. Damn you got a lot of room in that EZ Go battery compartment
I have a little buyers remorse. Coincidentally, I purchased a similar 36v 100aH Lithium battery recently and installed it into an EZGO cart, removing the old 6x Trojan lead acid batteries. The cart works better than it has ever done but I have to nurse the accelerator pedal, if I drive it too hard, the battery BMS goes into protect mode and I have to reset the battery to be able to move again.
Hello! So I recently upgraded to a Vatrer lithium battery in my 2017 EZGO txt 48 with the upgraded navitas 600A controller. Was working well for about 15 minutes until I smelled something burning. I had the speed set to 23MPH but I think I fried the motor. I was curious to know if you could hell me determine what replacement motor I need. Thank you!
Great video. I have a TXT with lead acid batteries and it's super slow going up hills. How does your cart do going up hills with the new lithium batteries?
Hey, where is the epoch Battereries 48V converter to 12V fuse panel video??? It said you pulled it. Anyway, could you repost or view it somehow? I bought them because of that video. I was going to use it to review to install my batteries.
Thanks for the video. The adapter looks good. Hopefully there will be something you make for the Precedents in the future that I can use..... Would love to support the channel with a purchase. Can you give a link to the rivets? I am sure I can find some. But would like to buy with an affiliate link if possible.
I appreciate your comment and wanting to support the channel. You can actually use these plug extension on the precedent in the stock location. I would rather just be upfront and honest instead of trying to sell you something you dont need.
Hey brother! I got a 48v lithium golf cart now and wondering if I should leave it at my local course plugged in all winter or bring my cart home or take the battery out for storage? I don’t want to ruin this new cart lol thanks for your input
Depending on which battery it is stock or aftermarket. On the aftermarket they usually have a switch to turn the battery off and if so I would charge it up and turn the battery off. Also flip the tow run switch to tow mode if equipped.
love your videos,I'm converting my club car to lipo, problem is I got a Drok battery meter ,piss poor instructions, putting a Chin 52v,I guess I need the number of cells to program battery meter, can you help?
if you can return that meter do so. This video goes over the best meter you can add to any electric golf cart. th-cam.com/video/bJaDsJTAXc8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P4ZKbjmPmfN0uRKh
I am, not sure if you watch tiktok or not but my son flipped it about a month ago and I flipped it yesterday and uploaded it. We are both fine, only hurt our ego's. I need to make an actual programming video for it as well. However I LOVE IT!
I have a 48v 2012 Club Car and I replaced the batteries for one 48v lithium, it won’t run. Does Club Car also have this reed switch or am I missing 12v to the key switch? I don’t have DC to DC converter do I need one for the key switch and F&R ? Would really appreciate your help with this.
If you have the recepticle for the charger then it should have a wire hanging there inside to tell the cart 'don't run we're being charged' which gets attached to the first pos+ in your series
Hey buddy, I am about to put in an order for the Repower 48V but before I do I wanted to get your thoughts on the brand. I’m stuck between this and the vatrer. Hoping to use the $600 saved for other upgrades if you think the battery is worth the buy?
Depends on what you are planning to do with the cart. This works good on this cart being stock but I havent tried it on anything else. If you are planning for upgrades then I would consider this - amzn.to/3WPXNLq
@@Fentertainment thanks for the response! I’m not trying to go 25 mph + I just want to not have to worry as much about maintenance and to get better range. I’m likely going to upgrade the motor to gain a little speed because this thing is slow as hell now but nothing crazy, wheels and tires too

How does the Repower Flow compare to the DC house 51.2 100ah kit that looks similar... why did you choose the Repowe Flow kit?
Do you sell the parts you made for the Repower lithium install?

Do you have 100 amp bms or 50 amp bms. The 50 amp will trip
Are you going to do a video of how to wire up headlights etc. I am trying to figure how to properly do the step down to 12V.
Ive got those videos on my channel
Probably ought to ground the frame if you're running mains into it.
Loving your channel. Any tips on how to remove a stuck steering wheel?
What about headlights? Is there anything I need to do about that? My original set up is dead. Looking for options other than 6 new batteries
