I love how the US has a cyber crime division to try and counter this shit and then you have this badass over here like hold my beer and let me show you how its done. This man is a absolute god with the work he does
i would also suggest if we look deeper into the problem that alot of those firms beside scammers provide utilities as online phone services/web-developers are totally free of any responsabilty what so ever. if you say to a man a gun is legit and you can use it where and when ever he will ..He will use/abuse it. There are more than just layer in this problem imo.
i imagine that the cyber crime division is spending their time looking for a solution that would span over all cyber crime whereas while what jim does is amazing, hes only hitting one base at a time
The amount of crime on the internet is staggering. Seriously. You could double the FBI’s budget, use all of the extra cash for just combating cybercrime, and not have nearly enough. And they have to catch even worse people. Child predators and the like. Don’t get me wrong, Jim is great but there isn’t enough money in the US budget to really bring a stop to this shit. There isn’t enough in the entire Five Eyes even. Nor if you tack-on the EU. The bright side is that I’m sure all of those people at law enforcement are in absolutely no hurry to find and charge this guy for crimes he’s committed himself by hacking these scammers back.
While I agree Jim could easily fit in with the flock fighting against APT nation sponsored cyber threats, Cyber crime is the third place after natural disasters that could actually collapse the economy all together, so people with his skill level are busy in the high ranks fighting against others with same level. But It’s a good thing Jim chooses to use his skills for the public and do his own thing !
Jim, as an Indian, I have a feeling that Police department isn't even opening your emails and if they're opening, they're not taking it seriously (not even reading them completely) & same goes for Hathaway. I don't know if this will work or not but try contacting Cybercell (they're more likely to read it and take it seriously) and/or You can tweet this to Indian PM, Foreign Minister & The Minister of Communication & Ask your followers to make that tweet viral. This may end this nuisance once and for all.
The BBC documentary that Jim was in has an interview with the police. They said that there's really nothing they can do unless an actual victim files a complaint.
@@amaldesai6323 But it's like saying a murderer can only be caught if his victims complained. Crime is happening right in front of their eyes but they won't do anything about it
I adore you, Mr B! I really like your complete anonymity and willingness to cross the line into the gray area to tackle scammers. Sadly, despite the growing amount of "good guys" the hackers are winning, with rare legal penalties of any weight. Most are back to work despite deliberately encouraging folks -- often elderly and well educated Americans and Europeans -- as trained mules to launder $$ often out of fear. It's very seductive and too successful. People like you are going to need to ratchet up your catches and hits bc they far outweigh you guys ☹️🧐😕😠
I think they're lots more out there, tackling different crimes. Like Mark Rober is absolutely destroying package thieves, and Jim is destroying scammers. Also, I think there are lots more out there that doesn't upload it to TH-cam.
@@TheWitchfinderGenral Don't know, but there's no way they'd extradite them for a white collar crime like that. It'd be way too much hassle for a bunch of low life nerds.

It's probably more complicated than that seeing as how these scammers are not US citizens and the relative harm they cause is probably not much compared to other things the FBI has to deal with. IDK, just a thought.

i would also suggest if we look deeper into the problem that alot of those firms beside scammers provide utilities as online phone services/web-developers are totally free of any responsabilty what so ever. if you say to a man a gun is legit and you can use it where and when ever he will ..He will use/abuse it.
Also what Jim does strays into a legal grey area. I doubt any law enforcement agency could legally use these same methods.
