Good morning, Dr Dray! Would you consider doing a bare minimum cleansing routine for special needs adults who suffer from lack of self care? They often suffer from acne, psoriasis, and other infections. This would be tailored to their caregivers. Thank you!
Thank you, it’s truly an area of need💕! So many families I know (myself included) struggle to care for our adult special needs children with skin issues. I’ve been thinking there must be a basic bare minimum that we could aim for to encompass a variety of skin conditions.@@kearstenw3855
In the evening: Double cleanse with a non stripping cleanser. Some cleansers are eye safe, but there's a lot that aren't, so maybe use a micellar water and cotton pad gently around eyes. Then rinse with water and dry face with disposable paper towel or a cleaned reusable face cloth. Apply a nickel sized amount of moisturizer all over your face and neck. If you're prone to Millia (white bumps around the eye area) it's recommended you don't apply moisturizer around the eyes, so you might need to get a separate eye cream. Day Time Routine: Not necessary for you to cleanse, but can if you want. Apply moisturizer/s the same way you would at night. Then apply 1/4 of a teaspoon of preferred Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to face and neck. Mineral sunscreen's are recommended for around the eye area, as chemically made ones may often sting your eyes. Hope this helps! Cheers.
You’ve gotten me so interested in dermatology and listening to these talks and even when you’ve talked about neutrogena and other companies testing product for efficacy and different ways to help ingredients penetrate the skin I get extremely curious and makes me read more about these things and I have learned a lot even if I’ll never go into the field I just find it very fascinating.
I am glad you enjoyed your time in my beautiful city, San Diego! Watching the conference videos made me realize how much I miss conferences since I have retired. I always enjoyed talking to vendors too. So many freebies! As always, enjoyed your video!
Oh hello 🌼! I was looking forward for today’s video ! You really helped me through last year going to almost no skincare and all natural to not be afraid anymore of certain products and religiously care for my skin. Those last days I watch your vids just to feel better as your voice is so familiar to me now. Thank you for everything 💜 I hope you’ll have a lovely Saturday
The display of Aveeno skin care was impressive they have many products to choose from. My skin care routine is simple, fragrance free products that I'm happy with using on my sensitive skin. The Neutrogena skin care has been my favorite for 5 years now 🥰 Thank you for sharing your trip ... glad to see you had a nice time 😊
I buy big bags of colloidal oatmeal on Amazon, way more affordable than the pouches & now I use it weekly. I have mesh bags for my cosset bath bombs (only ones that don’t irritate skin or give me UIs) & I put the oats in those like a tea bag.
The bulk colloidal oatmeal is a great tip, but placing bath bombs in mesh bags is GENIUS! 🤯 Too often store- bought ones contain petals, grains etc that destroy plumbing.
I love when you take us along on your trips. So fun! Btw I finally broke down and bought the butterfly pjs you've been wearing . They're so cute. Love the ladybug ones too! You're saving me money on skin care but you're killing me with these cute pjs! Lol! I can't resist!! Happy Saturday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a relaxing evening. 💟

Thanks Dr. Dray. Would love to see a video about skincare for the elderly. My grandma suffers from extreme itch ALL OVER her body. I wonder if the medications are the cause (high blood pressure, heart, high potassium and kidney issues). She moisturizes but it doesn’t help
With elderly not typically bathing daily, applying lotion only after a bath may not last more than one day. There are some moisturizers that help with itch like Avene Xeracalm but rule out something more with a derm.
Yes I tried the Aveeno spf 60 lotion and I loved it for my body. It’s just hard to find in stores. I found it once in a tube and the texture is amazing. I want to get it again for this summer. I am also using the aveeno tone and texture and I don’t like it that much. I got it because it had niacinamide and PHA but the smell is so off. It smells like glue and I really don’t feel it moisturizing. I find my Vaseline Advance Repair is more moisturizing.
That hack with the gauze or face mask I'm going to try if the bad rash I keep randomly getting on my face (it's like just for 24 hours- with some swelling 😢) comes back
I have tried the Aveno 60 spf lotion. It is good but definitely on the thicker side. You can usually but it online through Target. Most dont have it in store.
Dr Dray, is the particle size the reason why in Tinted Sunscreen the cream/SPF gets absorbed but the Tinted Color/Pigment stays on top of the skin? Your results are amazing.....I need to try La Roche Cicaplast Gel on my face & around my eyes. Thanks!
Can I use a serum containing 1 percent arbutin ? I breastfeed only nights, 2 or 3 times every night. I want to use it even I can do it for every other day. Please Dr Dray, see my question. Love your videos ❤❤❤
Dr Dray, I frequently can suffer from Millia under my eyes I I use anything too heavy…would this Laroche Posay Cica gel be an okay product under the eyes for someone who has or is prone to millia? Thank you in advance for your time
Her videos say we have no way of knowing but I think I got milia from cerave healing ointment wound the eyes. The new Cicaplast is really light and glossy. Not ointment like. I suspect it would be fine. It’s been fine for me so far.
Dr Dray can you do an updated video on parabens and phthalates. I watched a toxicologist’s youtube video talking about new evidence suggesting there’s harm to humans.
Is anyone else thinking that between last vlog's sign-off and this vlog's greeting, it sounds like Dr Dray got rather tipsy on that yacht party? 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the conference 😉
Speaking of growth factors, although they are touted for having anti-aging benefits I’ve steered clear because I was warned by my physician that growth factors can increase the rate at which cancers grow and spread. They are not necessarily the cause, but if you get it they will increase it..
Greetings Dr Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Saturday😀n what a Wonderful Vlog….thanks n This is Gonna b so Good🔥👍n Continued Blessings to All💜….
Great video. I’m 72 and have dry skin. I constantly struggle with extreme dryness & peeling under the eyes. I also have swollen eyes & irritation. I can’t find the correct combination of products. I need help. My dermatologist says use a little CeraVe healing ointment under eyes. This has not helped.
She applies to damp skin and for this trip used it as her moisturizer. Most derms who use eye products tend to apply them first before other face products.
Hi I’ve found ur videos and been going thru looking for skincare that is medical grade. Do you have any recommendations (ie Zo, SkinCeuticals, Defenage etc) on prof products vs over the counter? Are they worth it? TIA
Hi, Dr Dray, could you help me please. I need your recommendation with acne skin care for 13 yrs old boy, he have pretty much acne in his forehead. Which product that he can use and safe for his skin. Thanks
I’m so sorry if I’m out of the loop but what is this conference?! Is this for dermatologists only or is this something that’s open to all skincare professionals/practitioners? Looks so interesting and informative! Question: when you say energy devices do you mean lasers, radio frequency, high frequency, galvanic? Sorry, just naming the things I can think of lol. Am I on the right track or way off? This was sooooo informative!!! Thank you!
You mentioned neem oil as an ingredient in your shampoo sample. I've read that neem oil can be applied to seborrheic keratosis - I decided to ignore that tip 😅 - but am wondering what the stuff is? BTW, your skincare enthusiasm is contagious!
It can supposedly be antibacterial/anti-inflammatory. But best to use products that have it in the product (like hair products) and not use the oil directly on skin.
Hi y'all! Very interesting listening in on the conference Dr Dre but I have a slightly unrelated question and that is regarding using my red light and LED helmet while using the medication HCTZ. The company told me just to watch for redness or burning and they thought it would be okay but the instructions say not to use with photosensitive drugs. I only use 25 mg per day. Am I in trouble?
I have this red spot that developed on my face on the cusp from the under eye and top of cheek. I work as a mail carrier so idk if it was the sun. I wont go away. And went I look closer I can see tiny tiny blood vessels stemming from it when ‘pinching’ together
There are also channels that focus on vegan/cruelty free. There's a derm (though I don't know if her channel is active) is Dr. Jessica Krant, though you can find her on the Chef AJ channel (vegan) who tends to have a number of plant based doctors on her channel.
