    I was shocked by the outcome of this review, being one of the most premium notebook around. Let me know what you think! What would you like me to review next?

      If you hear the fan sound of other devices you will feel razer is a better choice no one makes a laptop that has minimum noise with customer requirements every year and why are you comparing gaming notebook with mac, mac is just a expensive notebook with own software, if mac produces gaming laptop, razer would be still no 1 on that

    • @CETechTips
      @CETechTips  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@sibinrsl7659 I agree, this is one of the quieter notebooks I have tested. That said for the premium you pay, nearly double, I don't believe it is economical. Some will buy this for that feature. My comparison to the MacBook Pro is simply around the speakers and how they sound. Thanks for watching!

    I sent my laptop for repair, and Razer lost it by accidentally sending it to another customer. They are now offering me the 2070 super 300hz advanced model as a replacement (new) but on their site the 3070 model is less than $100 more, would you say its better to get the 3070 model, by offering to pay the extra $100 myself?

    I know I am too late and you might not even see this comment but think this has mux switch ( if it's the 300hz panel ) and playing on 1080p and keeping the CPU to low isn't the best decision ( the blade has been updated post ,to give 65w to the CPU ) and all these factors combined I'd say it gives a nice boost to the fps ( always see your GPU utilisation and set your CPU power limit accordingly)

    Terrific, comprehensive and honest review without any pandering like other channels. Only one thing i think u didnt talk too much about-- how is the feel of the keyboard? I hear so many ppl say that the key travel is super short, and lacks tactile feedback , and therefore its not fun to play games using it. Thanks and u got a new subscriber mate :)

    • @CETechTips
      @CETechTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the sub Willy! Much appreciated. In terms of keyboard feel, it was decent. It has the optical triggers, which made it lightening quick. I found that the travel was a bit shallow for my liking, overall, however that is mostly because I use a full mechanical keyboard with plenty of travel, more personal preference.

      @@CETechTips thx for answering!! Im thinking of going out to purchase one today tbh... likely the base model, as from ur video results and my general feelings are that the 2080 and 2070 are a tad overkill for the form factor of the laptop. Have u had any experience with the base model, and does it also have optical keyboard switches and similar thermal performance? Thanks!

    • @CETechTips
      @CETechTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vintagecottonon They are limited due to the the form factor. From what I have read the optical sensors are an add on, but I believe are avaliable in the base unit, just standard on the advanced. I have not personally tested a base unit myself. If you do get one please share your findings!

    i don´t know, i just got the 2070 s advanced model and my temps - frames are better than your 2080 s model. Before this one i had the Legion 7i for a month with 10750h, 2070 s and 32 gb ram and that one was running super well, pushing higher frames than this razer but because it was able to handle 20 or more watts more on the gpu, and even doing that on Warzone max setting 1440p it scored 4 frames more than the Razer ( 84 fps razer vs 88 on 7i ). Razer was overall running quieter and cooler tho, so i would say that Razer is a bit conservative on the power management for the specs they put inside, and that comes with pros and cons. I´m quite in love with the build quality and this particular 2070s advanced model i got it brand new from an incredible price of 1791 euros while for the legion 7i paid 2099 euros. Now, next month the legion 5 pro comes out and maybe i will consider changing this razer for that legion but I think I will regret it because of the build quality. What do you think??
    Anyway, I must admit that one of the reason why i returned the legion 7i is the build quality, that laptop had incredible specs and the screen was the best at 500 nits but i cannot keep a 2000+ laptop that feels like it's going to break in 5 months of usage

    The Base Model was a real shock for me. I just opened the internet browser and the fans blow a storm out and getting hot. It is a Hell Razer cant keep it in this unbalanced condition. To spend 1000 more just for the vapor chamber is sick. They should update the cooling issue urgent. I saw there is some space left for bigger fans. Of course Intel should produce cooler chips but thats no excuse to produce a premium laptop that cant handle regular browsing and Idle without running hot and loud. Another issue I had that if you carry the Notebook with one hand you better that care not to destroy your fans cause they will stop and they should also leave some slots on the side to let more airflow in or blow it out so it wont overheat that fast. The speakers are dirt magnets I would agree if the would help with the airflow but you cant clean them and everything looks dirty after few days. I'm not an expert in airflow and cooling but I think the could do it so much better than just blow the air from the back to the screen. The is much potential left. 10 nanometer cpus are coming. Still no sensation but I expect a more quieter experience even in gaming mode as the new ampere chips have a high performance boost that they could integrate a silent mode. In my opinion the fan noise in gaming is still disturbing with no headphones and it's getting that hot that I was afraid to burn. I know a gaming Notebook is not silent while gaming but I'm talking about the overall experience. I also noticed a fan rattling just after 3 weeks. It was the same like I saw on youtube before. I was not that loud but still there. That let me not feel premium, I got more the feeling I have something cheap that will not live long and ends up with a grilled Motherboard Blue Screen Of Death. I'm really sad cause I really like the design and the performance was also fine but too loud and too hot for replacing my Macbook Pro.

    Hi, I wonder if you have any idea about why Razer underperforms with such a high spec? Limited voltage input? Or it is from the outdated driver limited by Synapse?

    • @CETechTips
      @CETechTips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I updated all the drivers as I thought it could have been that as well. From what I have read they limit the power to fit within the thermals limits they have in place. I felt it had more headroom based on how quiet it was, but no easy way to unlock it. I would not recommend the 2080 in this, it is too limited to get the value.
