@@דןאלי It's not so easy. First of all people in 3rd world country earns significantly less and travelling is a luxury. You can possibly travel to few neighboring countries but to travel for 9 months, it's simply not happening. To obtain a visa is a whole different story. Lets say even if I have the money to travel to US, my visa will most likely be denied and I will lose money and time on application fees and what not.
You have to be filthy rich in order to travel to any country you want from a 3rd world country and the truth is, only few can make that happen.

Yeah they are ways to travel but when a millions of people every year tries to beat the system and some people manages to gets away with it, the system eventually collapse. Then your country has to have a good relation with the host country for easier access to visa. Your argument is baseless. You are stating a poor Somalian has equal opportunity, compared to a poor Singaporean when it comes to travelling. Every Singaporean citizen can travel to 177 countries, if someone isn't taking the benefit it's their choice but every person in Somalia doesn't born with that privilege. Minimum wage in Singapore and in Somalia isn't similar either.

Hitchhiking is very dangerous, I strongly discourage it. The problem with chance is you can meet good or evil people. You just need one evil encounter. There are serial killers who pick up young men who hitch hike. Just be warned.

    You are REALLY BRAVE.
I remembered one of my trips. I was in Cappadocia, Turkey. Somehow, I had to spend a night at a local house.
There was this one guy, he offered me his bunk. Long story, cut short. I awoken later at night, he's touching me inappropriately. I was so shaken. Left immediately.
Almost had to sleep in tent on some snowy night. Luckily, another young gentleman offer me his room. I know, this might get me in trouble but either take the chance, or freeze to death outside.
I was lucky he AND his brother were so nice and hospitable despite our lack of communication.
    Tell you guys!
Please prep yourself before traveling. Sometimes, you might just die for some silly decisions. There are psychos outhere.

I admired his traveling spirit. There's another way of looking at it according to me. As I am a traveler as well, the main point is what you would like to accomplish during your travel? what you would like to experience, expand and see.
Because to be honest, traveling without carrying enough money is something that needs to be taken into consideration. you need to rely so much on people to help you. Not everyone on the couch surfing will accidentally accept a stranger if say I want to live 2-4 weeks in your house.. so it needs to change daily and that's not an easy thing to do especially if you're so on budget. And thanks God that he is equipped with English SKILL, what if English is not your first language like me?
he's from Singapore can travel to so many countries in the world. What if you're from developing and least develop countries? some people also treat you differently in approaching you... so Lucky Him!
this video is good for traveling accomplishment and sharing traveling experiences in very budgeted money. he did it, goodjob! 👏👏
Are you willing to suffer like him? well, it's fun too to travel on low budget to meet the local people and learn the culture, there's always an opportunity cost choosing experience over money. BUT Don't forget to remember too than you are illegal to work without proper visa.
I am giving my sincere and real traveling experiences, rationally speaking...because I have been through all that.
