Step 1. Money Step 2. Have a strong passport. Took me 4 months just to get a visa to get married. Unless I only travel to visa free countries it's very difficult to simply plan everything in advance. I used to be a travel agent so I have seen the frustration of applying for visas.
Took a lot of luck to make it possible but she also worked very hard. There are plenty of rich duches with plenty of money and a strong passport who never even get of the couch. Plus no passport is strong enough into every countrie with no problems. For her, an american, Iran and North Korea would have been a nightmare to be allowed into.
She did that at fifteen because she was lucky enough to find purpose at 12. For some it takes longer, but once you find a reason to exist and something to work towards, you just naturally move towards your best self. I get that it was a joke btw hahah. I just wanted to tell you that. Sometimes we can't see what is right there in front of us. Hope that helped, cheers.

How she has been able to live rent free since she was a child seems normal to me. If you have parents like that, that’s literally not all parents. I will agree she does get privilege from being from a country with an incredibly good passport. But seriously, it’s amazing how she chose to do this and actually did it. It takes a lot of determination to do and I support her just because of that.
First thing is - You are beautiful and i don't just mean physically. Secondly, your honesty about your parents giving you a solid headstart is very commendable. Big respect to then for taking you on adventures and documenting them.

I have since then decided to take a gap year and for the past year, I have just been working after school and literally saving everything to fund my trips next year. I have never really been out of the country, but I am excited to see what is out there. I am 16 years old and this... This is my dream. Ever since I was 13, my ultimate goal in this life was to travel to every single country on the planet. @@BananeKiwi199 where are you living, that you think you can earn enough money from the age of 12-18 to visit 100 countrys lmao? In Germany the legal age for starting to work is 16. At that age you would get 10$ an hour. A trip to 100 Country's costs easily 30k, and that's not very high estimated... That's pretty much impossible if you have to go to school at the same time. Simple answer is - and that's okay aswell - she worked as much as she could, got payed well by her parents and they gave her what she really needed for the trip anyways.

But the previous comment stated that they can barely afford to buy a car after six years of working. Ofc she was supported by her parents. But its not impossible to earn money for traveling at a young age. And as far as I know you can already earn money at the age of 14 (babysitting, delivering newspapers, etc.).
People that only give props to money and her parents past over facts like: she've been working since a young age, she had the idea of breaking the record, she planned the whole thing, she made the desition to try and not regreting it, etc. Of course conditions were optimal for her but her will and determination are exemplar. I've always said when I was younger, that when I start my career and I'm comfortable money wise, I will visit a different country every year. South Korea, Mexico, Germany, and France already completed.

Wow, What an amazing story! I backpacked a lot when I was in my 20s, lived in Asia and journey in my 30s and now drag my kids all over the place in my 40s but there is no way I could complete what you have done. Great video and really excited to see watch your videos.
@@asifsiddique455 Yah, you gotta find alternative ways of funding that kind of stuff AND have multiple sources of income. Becoming a digital nomad (travel blogger, youtube, Instagrammer, etc) won't make you much but honestly traveling is often cheaper than living in an apartment in your home country. In some places, you can get by with just $30 a day. Really it depends on skill, working in-country, having passive (and multiple) sources of income, and persistence. And a huge dose of privilege. Lexi is from America so she can get a visa to pretty much anywhere. Not everyone has that privilege so this "you can do it, too!" attitude really ain't that helpful for some

@Tu Compa Shinpei I don't see how English as a first language would help that much. I think Spanish or French as first language might help more. But what is more helpful than a first language, is to invest in learning as many as you can. For East Europe I would say Russian, French for Africa, Spanish for the America's, Arab for North Africa/Middle East, and English for West Europe and British ex colonies. For Asia I'm not sure, probably would go for Mandarin. In the end, knowing a language might help you, but it isn't neccessary to speak a certain language to travel anywhere.
1) she has money because she worked hard and saved. Money doesn’t magically grow from trees so it’s not like she magically has so much money. 2) she has time to travel which means she had to SACRIFICE time to do other things. Don’t you realize this? She also tried to graduate from college early. How many people can say they try or want to graduate college early? 3) being born into the United States is something she has no control over. Lots of people have the same privilege or advantage as her but don’t bother trying to accomplish much. Plus, people have luck in different aspects in life. Be genuinely happy for people’s accomplishments whether or not they get help to accomplish that. Who wouldn’t need at least some help to achieve something throughout their life?

This is delightful! I was just thinking how different your story would have been if you traveled during the Cold War, perhaps in the early 1980s. Fewer countries (one USSR instead of 15 countries, one Yugoslavia instead of 7 countries, though two Germanies instead of one, two Vietnams...) to travel to. On the other hand, some of them used to be so much harder for an American to enter. You are one of a handful of young women who inspire both other young women and others. Among the likes of Samantha Larson who was 18 when she climbed to the tops of highest peaks of each continent. Or Madison Stewart who is doing more than anyone to protect sharks from hunting. Or Reed Kessler who beat everyone to become the youngest person to ride a horse at the Olympics (where older, experienced men tend to dominate). Or Lindsey Hoshaw, one of the first to sail, when very young, to start the awareness of the Great Pacific Garabage Patch. Or Greta Thurnberg, no introduction necessary. You are already among them, and I am looking forward to see what else you will do for the years to come.
My dream is to travel the world, that’s all I want to do. There’s no way I’ll be the youngest and I doubt I’ll even make it to all them but I’ll try my best!
i'm from afghanistan, moved to england when i was two and only get to go again once every 3 or 4 years because of the war, but there is honestly SO MUCH MORE than war in afghanistan, it is beautiful and every year i beg my parents to take me to afghanistan because it's beautiful and diverse and also because it's my home and i would choose to go there over any other country in the world.

Well, being European helps cross off many countries real fast. Yet I haven't even been to every country that shares a border with mine. This is the list of places I really want to go to: - Prague in the Czech Republic - Norway - I'd love to drive through every single state in the USA, sleep in cheap motels, meet lots of locals, see the small towns rather than the touristy places. I may or may not have gotten inspired to do this by watching Spn. - Antigua and Barbuda, possibly a trip including various islands in the Caribbean - the same in Oceania, including Australia, New Zealand, and Tuvalu
Is this accomplishment theoretically "possible" by "anyone" with an "unlimited" budget and a US passport? Sure. Does that make it any less challenging, stressful, and lonely at times? Absolutely not. Becoming a digital nomad (travel blogger, youtube, Instagrammer, etc) won't make you much but honestly traveling is often cheaper than living in an apartment in your home country. In some places, you can get by with just $30 a day. Really it depends on skill, working in-country, having passive (and multiple) sources of income, and persistence. And a huge dose of privilege. Lexi is from America so she can get a visa to pretty much anywhere. Not everyone has that privilege so this "you can do it, too!" attitude really ain't that helpful for some

@Tu Compa Shinpei I don't see how English as a first language would help that much. I think Spanish or French as first language might help more. But what is more helpful than a first language, is to invest in learning as many as you can. For East Europe I would say Russian, French for Africa, Spanish for the America's, Arab for North Africa/Middle East, and English for West Europe and British ex colonies. For Asia I'm not sure, probably would go for Mandarin. In the end, knowing a language might help you, but it isn't neccessary to speak a certain language to travel anywhere.

2) she has time to travel which means she had to SACRIFICE time to do other things. Don’t you realize this? She also tried to graduate from college early. How many people can say they try or want to graduate college early?
3) being born into the United States is something she has no control over. Lots of people have the same privilege or advantage as her but don’t bother trying to accomplish much. Plus, people have luck in different aspects in life. Be genuinely happy for people’s accomplishments whether or not they get help to accomplish that. Who wouldn’t need at least some help to achieve something throughout their life?

I was just thinking how different your story would have been if you traveled during the Cold War, perhaps in the early 1980s. Fewer countries (one USSR instead of 15 countries, one Yugoslavia instead of 7 countries, though two Germanies instead of one, two Vietnams...) to travel to. On the other hand, some of them used to be so much harder for an American to enter.
You are one of a handful of young women who inspire both other young women and others. Among the likes of Samantha Larson who was 18 when she climbed to the tops of highest peaks of each continent. Or Madison Stewart who is doing more than anyone to protect sharks from hunting. Or Reed Kessler who beat everyone to become the youngest person to ride a horse at the Olympics (where older, experienced men tend to dominate). Or Lindsey Hoshaw, one of the first to sail, when very young, to start the awareness of the Great Pacific Garabage Patch. Or Greta Thurnberg, no introduction necessary. You are already among them, and I am looking forward to see what else you will do for the years to come.

i'm from afghanistan, moved to england when i was two and only get to go again once every 3 or 4 years because of the war, but there is honestly SO MUCH MORE than war in afghanistan, it is beautiful and every year i beg my parents to take me to afghanistan because it's beautiful and diverse and also because it's my home and i would choose to go there over any other country in the world.

Well, being European helps cross off many countries real fast. Yet I haven't even been to every country that shares a border with mine.
This is the list of places I really want to go to:
- Prague in the Czech Republic
- Norway
- I'd love to drive through every single state in the USA, sleep in cheap motels, meet lots of locals, see the small towns rather than the touristy places. I may or may not have gotten inspired to do this by watching Spn.
- Antigua and Barbuda, possibly a trip including various islands in the Caribbean
- the same in Oceania, including Australia, New Zealand, and Tuvalu
